Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Kinslow had been a resident of Pampa since 1969. She was a nurse at Highland General Hospital, retiring after 20 years of service. Mrs. Bennett was born April 13, 1930, in Mount Vernon, the daughter of Emmitt and Grace Ward. She was a retired health-care provider and homemaker. She had worked for Marie Foundations in McLean for several years. Etheredge Jr., 81, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, in Amarillo. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Dan Snider, a son-in-law and pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Poplar Bluff, Mo., officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Etheredge was born June 27, 1921, in Temple to George and Sida Etheredge. He attended A&I College in Kingsville. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps, serving during World War II. He was employed by Celanese for 37 years, retiring Oct. 31, 1982. He married Wanda Elizabeth Lacy on Sept. 26, 1942, in Corpus Christi. They were married for 60 years. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Pampa for more than 50 years. Working with wood was always a favorite pastime throughout his life. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife; two sons, George O. Etheredge III and wife, Nancy, of El Paso and Thomas Etheredge and wife, Cheryl, of Benton, Kan.; two daughters, Londa Carol Snider and husband, Dan, of Poplar Bluff and Suzanne Elizabeth French of Panhandle; a sister, Darlene Shipman of Boerne; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Hadley was a Hutchinson County resident since 1950. She was a member of Monroe Street Church of Christ. Amarillo Globe-News, Dec. 3, 2002 Katherine B. Sanders MULESHOE - Katherine B. Sanders, 89, of Amarillo, formerly of Muleshoe, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Stacy Conner of Muleshoe officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Sanders was born Feb. 11, 1913, in Oglesby. She moved to the Figure 4 Ranch in Southern Bailey County in 1928. She married Robert P. Sanders in Goodland on June 4, 1933. In 1952, she moved to the Muleshoe area until 1994 when she moved to Amarillo. She was a graduate of Eastern New Mexico State University in Portales, N.M. She taught school in Bailey County at Goodland, Maple, Wilson, Three Way and Muleshoe schools. She was instrumental in starting the migrant program in Muleshoe for the children of migrant farm workers. She was a life member of Texas Retired Teachers Association and the National Educational Association. She was a member of Muleshoe Area Retired Teachers Association, AARP, Meals on Wheels and several other organizations while living in Muleshoe. She was a 50-year member of Order of the Eastern Star and held several offices in the organization during that time. Katherine was a member of First Baptist Church while living in Muleshoe and was a member of Coulter Road Baptist Church while in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 11, 1987; and a sister, Amy Evetts. Survivors include a son, Robert Sanders and wife, Donna, of Amarillo; two daughters, Jane Christian and husband, Dr. Allen, of Rockwall and Mary Hilliard and husband, Steve, of Fort Worth; a sister, Rosemary Johnson of Amarillo; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three nieces; and two nephews. Mrs. Witcher was born Dec. 27, 1922, to Francis Hollis Roddy and Parris Elizabeth Lair Roddy. She grew up in Amarillo, attending school here, and was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Witcher, who wrote western fiction, had one book published, and was a member of Panhandle Pen Women and Writers of the Golden Spread. She worked for many years with the Micro Midget Association, whose proceeds go to Amarillo Speech and Hearing Center. Survivors include a son, Jerry Don Witcher of Amarillo; four daughters, Carla N. Abbott, Julia Manasco and Virginia Witcher, all of Amarillo, and Peggy Ferguson of Runaway Bay; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Bell St. Mrs. Longanecker was the daughter of a pioneer family who homesteaded in Carson County in 1898. She was proud of her Texas Panhandle ranching and farming heritage. She married Ronald E. Longanecker on June 6, 1941, in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1982; and a grandson, Christian A. Longanecker in 1990. Survivors include three sons, Dr. Ronald Longanecker and wife, Ramona J., of Amarillo, Gary D. Longanecker of Clayton, N.M., and Michael L. Longanecker and wife, Deborah A., of Dallas; a brother, Lee Walton Poling of Fritch; seven grandchildren, Travis L. Longanecker of Perryton, Jameson T. Chambers in 1963 in Amarillo. She loved to read, knit, crochet, decorate cakes and was "nanny" to many. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996. Survivors include a daughter, Jamie Cobb of Amarillo; two sons, James Chambers Jr. and Jesse Chambers, both of Amarillo; her mother of Amarillo; her father of Elm Mott; two sisters, Becky Herron of Hewitt and Kathy Tandy of Gilbert, Ariz.; three brothers, Bill Martin of Hewitt, and Lonnie Martin and Robert Barnes, both of Amarillo; and five grandchildren, Crystal Tyler, Nathan Tyler, Jewel Cobb, Ginger Cobb and Jacob Cobb. She was agraduate of Amarillo High School as well as Amarillo College. She married Joe Croom in 1939 in Amarillo. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. for many years before retirement. Mrs. Croom was a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church for more than 70 years and was a member of 50/50 Sunday School Class. Mrs. Croom was an avid photographer. She loved birds and flowers.
