Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Temple Baptist Church of Hereford with the Rev. H.W. Bartlett, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home. Mr. Williams was a heavy equipment operator and a veteran of the Army, serving during World War II. Mr. Williams was president of the Baptist Men's Organization of Temple Baptist Church and chairman of the deacons of the church. Survivors include his wife, Ruby; two daughters, Kathy Kemp of Amarillo and Ruby Dale Tyler of Farmersville; four granddaughters; and a great-grandson. Mayo Jr. PANHANDLE - S.E. Mayo Jr., 67, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Fuller, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday in Panhandle Cemetery by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mr. Mayo was born Nov. 25, 1935, in Paducah. He was an electrician and raised cattle. Survivors include his wife, Kay; a daughter, Karla Howell of White Deer; two sons, Kelley Mayo of Colorado and Kip Mayo of San Marcos; his mother, Annette Mayo of Panhandle; two brothers, Jerry Mayo of Nevada and Theo Mayo of Gruver; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Dec. 5, 2002 Vanessa Perkins SHAMROCK - Vanessa Perkins, 41, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Z.A. Myers, pastor of First Assembly of God in Shamrock, officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Mrs. Perkins was born Jan. 1, 1961, in Wellington. She moved to Stinnett in 1962 with her family and attended school there until 1972. They moved to Fort Worth and lived there a year before returning to Wellington. She graduated from Wellington High School and attended Tarrant County Junior College in Fort Worth, where she received an associate's degree as a dental assistant. She moved to Wellington and began working in the local dentist's office. Vanessa married Lewis Perkins in February 1982, and they moved to Shamrock. She began working for Meridan Oil which later sold to Gruy Petroleum where she was presently employed. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Krista Perkins and Linsey Perkins, both of Shamrock; her father, Clyde Ingram of Wellington; her mother, Betty Vines of Fort Worth; her stepfather, Bob Vines of Fort Worth; three brothers, Ron Ingram of Pampa, Arnie Ingram of Wellington and Scottie Ingram of Richland Hills; and a sister, Pam Ingram of Amarillo. Amarillo Globe-News, Dec. 5, 2002 Amarillo Waldeen Mildred Coggins Waldeen Mildred Coggins, 89, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 S. Bell St. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Coggins was born Jan. 20, 1913, in New Sweden. She was the daughter of Swedish immigrants. She met John T. Coggins in Austin and they were married Dec. 22, 1933, in Austin. When they married, John was a student at University of Texas and Waldeen lived and worked in Austin. John worked for International Harvester. He and Waldeen lived in various cities and towns throughout Texas. They also made their homes in Topeka, Kan., and Chicago before settling in Amarillo in 1945. John and Waldeen were longtime members of First Baptist Church where Waldeen taught Sunday school and played the piano. Waldeen enjoyed sewing, hat making, gardening, cooking and playing her organ and piano. She was an avid fisherman. She was known for her kindness and generosity to her friends and neighbors. Waldeen will be remembered by all those lives she touched and for her steadfast faith in the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Lilly May Hughes; her brothers, Kermit Skoog and Virgil Skoog; and a niece, Frances Boutlinghouse. Survivors include a son, James Tyler Coggins and wife, Laverne, of Dallas; a grandson, Chris Coggins; a granddaughter, Lisa Coggins Rahimi; and a great-grandson, Rian James Rahimi. He married Pixie Howard on July 18, 1970, in Miami. Mr. Williams moved to Guymon following his honorable discharge from the Army in 1945. He was a pipeline field man for Panhandle Eastern, retiring in 1982.
