"Dick" Perdue, 81, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 S. Bell St., with the Rev. Lynn Garrett of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery with military rites by Disabled American Veterans Chapter 26. Mr. Perdue was born Oct. 11, 1921, in Donley County and was a lifetime resident of Amarillo. He was a carpenter and roofer for the past 52 years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Marines. He belonged to Local 665 Carpenters Union. He was a member of Coulter Road Baptist Church. He married Carlene Reavis on Dec. 12, 1990, in Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Neva Perdue on July 15, 1990. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Melody Perdue of Amarillo; three sons, R.E. "Dickie" Perdue and Tommy Perdue, both of Amarillo, and Johnny Perdue of Mesa, Ariz.; a brother, Gene Perdue of Austin; a stepson, Edward Renning of Amarillo; and a stepdaughter, Edwina Owens of Las Vegas. Bob Thomas, chaplain of Crown of Texas Hospice, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Tidwell was born in Banty, Okla., on Dec. 15, 1924. He moved to Amarillo in 1950. He was a veteran of the World War II Korean occupation. Mr. Tidwell was a retired roofing contractor. She was a waitress at Rice Restaurant in Amarillo for 25 years and other restaurants in Shamrock. Miss Lowe was a member of First Baptist Church in Shamrock. Survivors include two sisters, Leitha Brownlee and Irene Barth, both of Shamrock; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The body will be available for viewing from noon to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Amarillo; and from 10 a.m. until service time at the church in Shamrock. Mrs. Nix was born May 16, 1956, in Canon City, Colo. She had lived in Shamrock for the past year and a half. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home. Dr. Andrews was born Jan. 7, 1922, in Boston. He married Dorothy Collins on June 24, 1942, in Big Spring. Andrews of San Marcos; a brother, Frank Andruszkiewicz of Boston; and a grandchild. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Jose Mangulabnan, chaplain of Baptist St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo, and the Rev. Michael Colwell, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Beauchamp was born March 23, 1933, in Amarillo, to Marvin and Verdie Beauchamp. He married Vannie McMurry on July 24, 1952, in Taos, N.M. They made their home west of Dumas where he lived his entire life. He was a farmer and rancher. He loved the land on which he lived, and fondly referred to it as the Half Moon. He was a good steward of the land. He was loved by his family and many friends. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Dumas. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Howard; and a sister-in-law, Helen. Survivors include his wife; a son, Joe Beauchamp and wife, Penny, of Dumas; two daughters, Kathy McDowell and husband, Dan, of Sunray, and Janet Drake and husband, John, of Canyon; a brother, Carl Beauchamp and wife, Helen, of Dumas; his grandchildren, Susan Beauchamp, Cody McDowell, Ezzy McDowell, Casey McDowell, Nikki McDowell, Jay Drake and Josh Drake; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Silverton Cemetery in Silverton. Arrangements are by Davis Funeral Chapel. Mrs. May was born Aug. 18, 1919, in Quitaque. She lived in Silverton for 52 years until moving to Corinth in 1998. Survivors include two sons, Van May of Amarillo and Alvin May of Corinth; a sister, Mary Joyce Wilson of Pampa; and three grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Alzheimer's Association. Amarillo Globe-News, Dec. 12, 2002 Donna Catherine James DENTON - Donna Catherine James, 70, formerly of Amarillo died Monday, Dec. 9, 2002. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today in Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel with Monsignor Charles King officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Mrs. James was born Feb. 3, 1932, in Evansville, Ind., to Thomas John and Eva Izola Elpers. She married Richard L. James on May 29, 1954, in East Moline, Ill. Mrs. James lived in Amarillo for 44 years. She worked for several attorneys, a Potter County judge and in the legal department of Pioneer Corp. She served as president of Legal Secretaries Association for many years and ended her career at Hinkle Law Firm. She was an active member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. Her hobbies included ceramics, crocheting and many other handcrafts. She donated many of her art and craft projects to charitable organizations throughout her lifetime. She was preceded in death by her husband; and parents. Survivors include three daughters, Linda Reynolds and husband, Jeff, of Birmingham, Ala., Sarah Loewen and husband, Mark, of Mansfield and Lisa Williams of Euless; a son, Frank James and wife, Suzan, of Denton; eight grandchildren; and a brother, John Elpers of Pensacola, Fla. JOSEPH, Mo. - Gregory "Greg" Don Hodges, 53, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002. Memorial services will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today in St. Joseph. A second memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Central Church of Christ in Tulia, Texas, with Trey Morgan and Loren Harper, both ministers, officiating. Arrangements are by Heaton-Bowmen-Smith Chapel. Mr. Hodges was born in 1949 at Hale Center, Texas, to S.A. Hodges Jr. and Frances Hodges. The family moved to Happy, Texas, in 1955, where Gregory attended and graduated from Happy High School in 1968. Gregory Don Hodges and Conni Wilson were married on March 21, 1976, in St. Joseph. Survivors include his wife; his parents of Tulia; a brother, Brent Hodges of Tulia; four uncles, M.R.
