Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lance Wood, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Miami Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Corbin was born May 28, 1905, in the Era community in Cooke County, and was a lifetime resident of Miami. She was a 1923 graduate of Miami High School and received her bachelor's degree from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene in 1927. She married Dr. Scott Corbin on Sept. 1, 1929, in Miami. Mrs. Corbin taught math and Spanish in Miami schools for 22 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. She avidly supported several charities and missions including Buckner's Benevolences, Cal Farley's Boys Ranch and Salvation Army. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 12, 1968. Survivors include two brothers, George Philpott of Miami and Kint Philpott of Pampa; and numerous nieces and nephews. Boyce Cleston Adams Boyce Cleston Adams, 67, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002. He worked for many years at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, and had been a store manager for Toot'n Totum. He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Buford Adams; a brother, James H. Adams; and a sister, Annie Geneva Adams. Amarillo Globe-News, Dec. 13, 2002 Charles Myers Billman Sr. Charles Myers Billman Sr., 100, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002. Osage St. Mr. Billman was born to Lily May Myers Billman and Charles Sylvester Billman on Aug. 31, 1902, in Dayton. He had been in this life 100 years plus 102 days. This was a good and generous life span for a man of equal standing. He attended Dennison University in Granville, Ohio. He graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Mass., in 1925. In April 1931, he married Katharine Gilbert Rutherford of Steelton, Pa. Mr. Billman served as an assistant vice president with Winters National Bank (later to become Bank One) in Dayton and retired from the bank in 1967. After his retirement, Mr. Billman had a tour of duty with International Executive Service Corp., helping to improve and expedite the accounting methods of a Portland cement company in Gresik, Indonesia. He had a great-grandchild on the way. He was preceded in death by his wife on Nov. 1, 1987. Survivors include a daughter, Katharine Rutherford Anthony; a son, Charles Myers Billman Jr.; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Billman; four grandchildren, Robert Anthony, Garrett Billman, Gregory Billman and Dawn Anthony Burns; and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Dozier was born May 1, 1902, in Wheeler County, near Texola, Okla., to John and Annie Vandiver Ward. Eva married Silas T. Dozier on Oct. 24, 1932. They resided and farmed 10 miles northwest of Gruver until retirement, at which time they moved to Gruver and began traveling the world. She and her husband were known philanthropists. She was a member of Gruver Church of Christ. She resided in Gruver until moving to Amarillo to live with nieces. Eva was known and loved by all for her kindness and generosity. She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Elsie Welch; and four brothers, Estus Ward, Herbert Ward, Ervin Ward and Daniel Ward. Survivors include nieces, nephews and many special friends. She was a homemaker. She married Irving Sorrels on Jan. 17, 1940, in Atoka County. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996; and a daughter, Mary Sue Strout in 1995. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors. Mrs. Weaver was born May 12, 1946, in Fort Knox, Ky., to Corbitt and Mary Howitz Moore. She married Willie M. Weaver, a lifetime resident of Canyon, at St. George's Episcopal Church on Nov. 20, 1974. She had lived in the Canyon community since 1973. She received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1968 and attended Texas Woman's University in the pediatric nurse practitioner program in 1973. She received her master of educator degree at West Texas A&M University in 1976 and was invited into the National Honor Society in Psychology, Psi Chi Chapter. She also received her master of science in nursing from West Texas A&M University in 1980 and was inducted into the National Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau. She became board certified in 1993 as a medical and surgical nurse and in 1994 became a board certified diabetes educator. She received the Northwest Texas Hospital Excellence in Nursing award selected by the nursing staff in consideration of clinical skills, interpersonal relationships and professional integrity in 1994. Sharon had a special way of greeting everyone that lifted their spirits and made their day more pleasant. Survivors include her husband; a son, Scott Russell Weaver of Denver; a daughter, Allison Leigh McDaniel of Dallas; her parents of Canyon; a sister, Linda Alvarado of San Francisco; a brother, Russell Ivan Moore of El Paso; and a special canine friend, Brandee C.
