Foust, 83, of Amarillo died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robby Barrett officiating. Private burial will be held earlier at Llano Cemetery, by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Foust was born April 30, 1919, in Silverton. As a teen-ager he worked for the Briscoe County News. He graduated from West Texas State University in 1943. He was working for Whitney Printing in 1953 when he began his own print shop with his wife, Nell, in their single-car garage. The business began by printing checks and rubber stamps. In 1957, the Fousts merged their business with Whitney Printing and moved to 16th Avenue and Monroe Street. In 1974, the Fousts moved the business to 15th Avenue and Polk Street. In 1979, Whitney Printing bought the printing department of Russell Stationery to form Whitney Russell Printing. Two of the Fousts' children continue to work for the company, which serves more than 400 banks in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado and Kansas. In 1963, Mr. Foust served as president of WTSU Ex-Students Association board of directors. In 1966, he was elected vice-president of WTSU Ex-Students Association. In 1990-1991 he received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from WTSU. He was a member of Amarillo Chamber of Commerce and had served as a board member and treasurer. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church. He and his company contributed to many charities and donated in-kind printing services to many charitable events. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Cathy Schermer and husband Mike of Dallas, Gaynelle Henger and husband Mac of Dallas, and Debbie Neuman and husband Gary of Amarillo; a son, Mike Foust and wife Bonnie of Amarillo; two sisters, Sue Carroll of Austin and Lola Fern Gregory of Clovis, N.M.; seven grandchildren, Lance Gamble, Kelley Owens, Jennifer Neuman, Anna Henger, Jake Foust, Carlie Foust and Kaci Foust; a great-grandchild, Chance Gamblin; five nephews; and a niece. Mrs. Sams was born Feb. 1, 1909, in Paducah, to the late Theodore and Ola Haynes Combest. She married Paul C. Sams. Fifth Ave. Mr. Beauregard was a most unselfish and giving person. He shared his professional design skills and quality craftsmanship with customers, and he shared his knowledge of the trade by teaching fellow craftsmen and homeowners. He had an unbelievable work ethic, a desire to help others, a curiosity for everything and a love for life that is unsurpassed. He was an avid gardener and tinkerer. He was born April 18, 1923, to Zephere and Bertha Beauregard of Buena Vista, Colo. He met his spouse, Wanda Geer, in 1943 while stationed in Amarillo and serving in the Army Air Corps. He was a flight engineer on a B-17 bomber in the 15th Air Force in Italy. Mr. Beauregard returned to Amarillo after his military discharge to marry, raise his family and work in the paint, wallpaper and woodworking trades. He worked professionally in the building trades his entire life and until the last month of his sudden illness. He was a lifetime member, officeholder and instructor at the Painter's Union and a member of the American Legion. Mr. Beauregard was also a former house manager at Harrington House and a partner in Amarillo Landscape. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Max Beauregard of Houston and Dean Beauregard and wife Janis of Amarillo; a sister, Goldie Gilbert of Buena Vista, Colo.; a cousin, Carol Gibbens and husband Pete of Buena Vista; a granddaughter, Deana, and a grandson, B.J. Hancock Juanita N. Hancock, 88, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Blackburn-Shaw Memorial Chapel, 315 E. Fifth Ave., with the Rev. Mitch Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Hancock was a lifelong resident of Amarillo. She retired from Sears after 3412 years as division manager of the infant department. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Mary Smith on Aug. 12, 1994, and Barbara "Bobbie" Little Brunton on Dec. 17, 2002, and a great-grandson, James Malone in 1998. Amarillo Globe-News, Dec. 26, 2002 Jane McMurry Bara DUMAS - Jane McMurry Bara, 82, died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, in Kilgore. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Dumas, with Carolyn Stallwitz and James Lovell, longtime family friends, officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mrs. Bara was born Dec. 11, 1920, in Memphis, the last of 12 children born to Thomas Madison and Vannie McMurry. Many generations of McMurrys moved to and lived in the Dumas area. She graduated from Memphis High School and attended the University of Wyoming, where she met the love of her life, Michael Bara II. They married on July 16, 1942, in Alexandria, Va. After moving to Dumas in 1949, they opened Bara's Blossom Shop, which they operated until 1980. Mrs. Bara was an accomplished artist and painted many of her most beautiful pieces of art during the last years of her life. Her husband preceded her in death on Sept. 6, 1985. Survivors include a son, Michael Bara III and wife Diane of Kilgore; and three grandchildren, Michael Bara IV of Fort Worth and Julian Code Bara and Harrison Jay Bara, both of Kilgore.
