Mrs. Martin was born June 13, 1904, in Shawnee, Okla. She was a Dumas resident since 1942. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Earl Martin in 1958. Mrs. Fewell was born June 10, 1926, in Salem, Ill., to Ray and Gladys Bryant. She married Clay D. Fewell on July 28, 1946, in Salem. She enjoyed singing with her husband in gospel quartets early in their marriage, and she continued to sing in various church choirs throughout her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Spearman. Mrs. Fewell held various jobs, but the one she enjoyed the most was as the sheriff's dispatcher in Spearman in the late 1970s. She resided at Clifton Care Center in Clifton for 1 c years. She was preceded in death by her husband in July 2001. Mr. Sims married Rosetta Freighberger in Amarillo on June 13, 1959. He worked at Panhandle Steel Buildings from 1958 until his retirement in 1996. He was a fun-loving man who loved to joke with everyone. He always found a silver lining around the darkest of clouds and had one of the biggest hearts for caring for his family and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Monty, in 1963 and a granddaughter, Stacy, in 1994. He graduated from Concord High School in Concord, Okla. He served in the Air Force and was a veteran of WWII, having served in England and France during Normandy. He married Una Howard in Wheeler on Dec. 25, 1941. He was a welder and a craftsman at his trade. He was a member of the West Texas Sams Chapter and a member of the North Amarillo Church of Christ for 56 years. He loved the outdoors and was a devoted husband and father. He was a devout Christian for more than 60 years. He was preceded in death by one brother, James Ford, in 1990, one sister, Dessie Geren in 1997, and one great-grandson, Colton Johnston-Weathers in 1995. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mr. Reyes entered the Lord's Kingdom on Christmas morning, 2002. Mr. Reyes was born Aug. 30, 1947, in Bishop, to Juan and Herminia Reyes, both of Temple. He helped with the family's business of sharecropping between Bishop and Hobbs/Rotan until he graduated from Hobbs High School in 1966. In November 1967, he was inducted into the U.S. Army HHB 6th Battalion, 20th Artillery. He served as a sergeant in the Vietnam war until October of 1969. During the war, he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with three Bronze Service stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, Air Medal, Bronze Star Medal and the Army Commendation Medal with Valor Device. He moved to Tulia after he was honorably discharged from the service, where he played semi-pro baseball and sang in a band. He met his wife Ofelia "Ofee" Martinez in Tulia and moved to Amarillo in 1971 to marry her. He was a service technician for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 27 years. He was involved in coaching youth baseball for more than 25 years. He was a member of the Pan American Golf Association and was Golfer of the Year in 1980. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Eliazar Reyes. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Grace Lutheran Church in Morris, Ill. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Morris by Carl J. Mowell and Son Funeral Home. Mrs. Hoge was born Sept. 7, 1909, in Morris. She attended Joliet Conservatory of Arts in Joliet, Ill., and taught dramatic arts. She married Chester Hoge on June 15, 1930, in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Morris. Prior to moving to Amarillo in 1987, they resided in northern Illinois. Grace Lutheran Church was the church of her childhood and the major portion of her adulthood. She attended St. Paul's Methodist Church in Amarillo. She was active for a major portion of her life in church related activities and civic organizations. She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers; and her parents. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jeff Bayley, pastor of the Texline United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Garcia Plaza Cemetery at the Blue Front Ranch, by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton. Mr. Poling was born Aug. 28, 1950, in Clayton, to John Milton Poling Jr. and Wendla Mae Robinett Poling. He was an assistant manager for Double A Feeders, where he had worked for 30 years. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. George's Episcopal Church in Canyon with the Rev. William D. Nix, Panhandle Regional Missioner, officiating. Private interment will be in Llano Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon. Mrs. Schmidt was born on Oct. 20, 1923, in Boulder, Colo., to Earl and Agnes Scott Levick. She married Dr. William I. Schmidt in 1954. He preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 1983. She was a homemaker and mother, and was a fashion model in the 1940s for Capwell Brothers. She also worked in the shipyards in San Francisco during World War II. She was a member of St. George's Episcopal Church. Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Couzzourt; and two granddaughters, Margaret Frances Couzzourt and Catherine Claire Couzzourt, all of Canyon. Mrs. Adee worked in Boise City at First National Bank. She was the daughter of Henry Issac and Lillie Jane Spielman House. Survivors include nieces and nephews.
