Mrs. Elliott was born June 23, 1915, in Aberdeen, to John Henry and Mattie Gertrude Bryant. She married Chester Floyd Elliott in 1931 in Tucumcari, N.M. She was a homemaker, loved to make dolls, and most of all, she loved her husband, children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Elliott in 1961; and Larry Elliott in 1969. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Sheila Bittick and Roxanna Turner, both of Amarillo, and Shirley Petrey of Rowlett; four sons, Charles Elliott of Rhome, Bill Elliott of Heber Springs, Ark., Jack Elliott of Haskell-Benton, Ark., and Sammy Elliot of Garland; and a brother, Randall Wilson of Arlington; The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice. Hughes St. The Rev. Duncan was born in Roxton. He was founder of Prayer Temple Church of God in Christ. He was a minister for 69 years. He was a loyal supporter of Church of God in Christ on the district, state and national level. He was pastor of Prayer Temple Church of God in Christ until his retirement. Survivors include his wife, Earnestine; two daughters, Wanda Booker of Amarillo and Vernaree Dread of Tacoma, Wash.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Jan. 29, 2003 Eliza Pearl Maloney Longbine Eliza Pearl Maloney Longbine, 90, formerly of Amarillo died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, in Florida. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in First Presbyterian Church in Boca Raton, Fla. Arrangements are by All County Funeral Home and Crematory of Lake Worth, Fla. Mrs. Longbine was born July 2, 1912, in Sharon, S.C., and attended nursing school in Greenwood, S.C., beginning a long, dedicated career as an RN. Pearl served during World War II as an Army nurse stationed in England. After the war, she moved to Amarillo and worked for Northwest Texas Hospital, where she met and married Frederick William "Bill" Longbine in 1947. Bill and Pearl lived in Canyon where she worked as a college nurse. Later, Pearl became a school nurse in Amarillo where she worked until 1985. She, with other community leaders, helped found a children's home that later was named in her honor. In 1985, Pearl and Bill moved to Deerfield Beach, Fla., to be near grandchildren. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mary Rose Ozga and husband, Gary; and two grandsons, Dustin Ozga and Travis Ozga. She was an active member of Lake Tanglewood Ladies' Golf Association, Arts and Crafts Club and a Bible study group. She was a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church and also attended Lake Tanglewood Community Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998; her parents; her stepmother, Charmian Lyle; her brother, Clyde Lyle; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 16, 1954. She had been a longtime resident of Amarillo and had also resided in the Clarendon and Howardwick areas since 2001. She married Jack R. Moore on Jan. 1, 1973, in Las Vegas. She had worked as a clerk and was a partner with her husband as a truck driving team for seven years. She also was involved in rare coin and gun shows around the area. She was a member of NRA and was a Methodist. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Kay Orcutt in 1998.
