Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Resthaven Funeral Home Abbey Chapel with the Rev. Michael McGuire officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo. Mrs. McGuire was born April 26, 1924, in Penn Yan, N.Y. She married Capt. James P. McGuire on Nov. 24, 1945, in Savannah, Ga. Mrs. McGuire attended schools near Pittsburg and Philadelphia. She graduated from high school in Tampa, Fla., and attended the University of Tampa. She joined the WAVES in 1944. She graduated from the University of Florida in February 1950. Mrs. McGuire lived in Fitzgerald, Ga., until her husband was recalled to the Air Force. They then moved every year until the transfer to Amarillo in 1959. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she taught women's Sunday school classes. She taught at Pleasant Valley School for Amarillo Independent School District for 13 years. Survivors include three brothers, James E. Mooney of Zephyrhills, Fla., Richard E. Mooney of Portland, Ore., and Stewart W. Mooney of Pittsboro, N.C.; four children, James P. McGuire III of Ruckersville, Va., Dr. Robert E. McGuire of Brownfield, Nancy Jay McGuire of Conway, Ark., and the Rev. Michael E. McGuire of Lovington, N.M.; and 10 grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Feb. 1, 2003 Patricia Jean Click AUSTIN - Patricia Jean Click, 80, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, in Wesley Drive United Methodist Church in Amarillo. Arrangements are by Forecver All Faiths Funeral Service. Mrs. Click was born April 8, 1922, in Dexter, Kan., to Herman Solomon and Elnora "Marjorie" Cochran Smith. She grew up in the Northeast Texas Panhandle, attended West Texas State Teachers College and graduated from Panhandle State University. A lifetime teacher, she began her career at the age of 18 in a one-room school house in rural Kansas. She taught in Dalhart, then moved to Portales, N.M., where she met her husband, Justin Sevier Click Jr., and continued to teach English and drama in the public schools and at Eastern New Mexico University. Upon her retirement from the Window Rock, Ariz., school district in 1985, she and Justin moved to Hobbs, N.M., to be near their grandchildren and she continued to tutor students with special needs. After her husband's death, she moved to Austin and enjoyed her retirement by being involved with her bridge clubs, senior activities at St. Matthew's Episcopal church, reading and spending time with family and friends. Patricia touched the lived of many with her kindness and compassion and even through her long illness, she never lost her style, grace and wonderful sense of humor. Survivors include two daughters, Ann Morgan and husband, Mark, of Las Cruces, N.M., and Jane Click and partner, David White, of Austin; two granddaughters, Juliana Taylor of Austin and Loren Taylor of Abilene; a sister, Alice Trenfield of Amarillo; a brother, H.S. "Bud" Smith of Snowflake, Ariz.; a niece, Diane Wilson and husband, Kevin, of Denver; two nephews, George Trenfield and wife, Denise, of Florida, and Steve Trenfield and wife, Cheryl, of Amarillo; her "adopted son," Lt. Col. Ted Herman (Ret.) of St Louis, Mo.; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. The family suggests memorials be to Hospice Austin; or a favorite charity. Amarillo Globe-News, Feb. 1, 2003 Ellen Elizabeth Ousley HIGHLAND VILLAGE - Ellen Elizabeth Ousley, 8, died Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today in Crossroads Bible Church in Double Oak with Tim Stevenson, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home. Ellen was born Dec. 9, 1994, in Dallas. Ellen was a straight-A student and absolutely loved her school, Christa McAuliffe Elementary School in Highland Village. She loved playing on her championship, undefeated soccer team "Shooting Stars" and loved it that her daddy helped coach the team. Ellen also enjoyed very much playing on the "Hot Tamales" girls' softball HVA team. She also really loved piano lessons. Her Brownie Scout troop was truly one of her favorite things. Ellen was an active learner at Crossroads Bible Church and was truly thankful for such a great church family. She, on many occasions, commented on how grateful she was to have a church home like CBC. Let it be known that Ellen put her faith in Jesus Christ as her Savior and is in His loving arms today. Once, her kindergarten teacher upon being introduced to Ellen at the first day of class asked her what her name was. She said, "My name is Ellen, but my daddy calls me princess." She will be remembered by her parents who miss her so indescribably much; two loving and adoring big brothers; her grandparents who all loved Ellen more than life itself; and a great-grandmother who actually claims that she knew Ellen was so special that she saw her hang the moon. Survivors include her parents, Bruce and Camille Ousley of Highland Village; two brothers, Baker and Britt; her grandparents, Ira and Betty Ousley of Longview and Bob and Zoleta Cash of Amarillo; and her great-grandmother, Daisy Wolfe of Rena Lara, Miss. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Wellington by Adams Funeral Home. Mrs. Tate was born Nov. 21, 1915, in Collingsworth County, to General Lee Blasingame and Lena Hayes Blasingame. She married Ernest Tate on Aug. 3, 1934, in Hollis, Okla. She was a member of Panhandle First Baptist Church. She graduated from Wellington High School in 1934 and received her RN degree from Amarillo College. She had been director of nursing for Thomas Nursing Homes in Wellington and McLean. She lived in Lutie from 1942 to 1965, in Wellington from 1965 to 1978, and in Panhandle since 1978. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1965; and 11 brothers and sisters. Survivors include a son, Rudie Tate and wife, Karon, of Samnorwood; a daughter, Dottie Holliman and husband, De, of Panhandle; a sister, Lena Cason of Fort Worth; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Church of Christ in Dodson with Bob Garton and Truman Tel officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery in Hollis, Okla., by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mrs. Ginn was born Dec. 17, 1915, in Hollis, the daughter of J.E. and Letecia Rollins. She married Roy Ginn on June 3, 1933, in Hollis. Mrs. Ginn was a homemaker and volunteer at the hospital, library, museum and clerk for the polls during elections. The community of Hollis voted her Mrs. Arnet Co. for her civic activity which also included schools, Extension Club and Garden Club. She was a member and very active in Church of Christ of Dodson. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985; three brothers; and a sister. Survivors include two sons, Marion Ginn and wife, Marcie, of Hereford and Gary Ginn of Oklahoma City; a daughter, Sherri Marcotte and husband, Rick, of Piedmont, Okla.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon. Miss Rollins was born Jan. 19, 1913, in Blanket, to Oscar B. and Lillie Frances Hawkins Rollins. She graduated from the University of Texas with a bachelor's degree in education and a master's degree in music. She loved music and performed with Midland-Odessa Symphony. She taught first grade in Odessa and moved to Lamesa after retirement. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Odessa, where she taught Sunday School and was also a member of First Baptist Church of Lamesa. Survivors include two sisters, Gloria Hoot of Coldspring and Marigold Conboy of Green Valley, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Tom and Carlie Burdett of Amarillo. Georgia St. Mr. Wiley was born and raised in Lubbock. He graduated from Coronado High School in 1977 and attended Texas Tech University. He was employed by United Supermarkets as the meat market manager at the River Road location. Mr. Wiley loved going to work everyday. He was an avid golfer. He owned and loved to ride Harley-Davidsons and was a member of Amarillo chapter of HOG, Harley Owners Group. He was preceded in death by his mother, Myra Newsom Conner, in 1990. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Graham was born Sept. 18, 1912, in Coryell County. He married Anita Swift on Oct. 28, 1935, in Tucumcari, N.M. He worked with the C.C.C., building many public facilities in Texas and New Mexico, many of which are still in use today. During World War II, he was a welder at Brown and Root Shipyard in Houston. He also worked many years for Plains Creamery and was a mechanic until his retirement in 1981. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Anita Brown of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Melody Brown, James Brown, Kevin Brown, William "Bill" Brown and Jimmy Jackson; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery. Mr. Stavig was born Jan. 29, 1959, in Watertown, S.D. He worked in the oil and gas industry.
