Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Billy Nickell, Larry Bradshaw and Bobby Bradshaw officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by N.S. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Bradshaw was born and raised in Dennison. He joined the Army in 1943. He married Lillie B. Jonas on March 9, 1946, in Brownfield. They moved to Amarillo in 1947 from Brownfield. Mr. Bradshaw was a truck driver for Furr's and Affiliated Foods. At the time of his retirement he was working for Bell Helicopter. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Larry Bradshaw and wife, Faith, of Manila, and Bobby Bradshaw and wife, Peggy J., of Texas Creek, Colo.; three daughters, Peggy A. Burke and husband, Ron, of Amarillo, DeRenda K. Bishop and husband, Dwight, of Amarillo and Brenda G. Meroney and husband, Lloyd, of Stratford; three sisters, his twin Pauline McQueeney, Jo Bowley and June Littlejohn and husband, George, all of Amarillo; 20 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to E.R. Foster Memorial Scholarship Fund at San Jacinto Assembly of God, 400 N. Georgia St., Amarillo, TX 79106. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Amarillo Globe-News, Feb. 15, 2003 Shan M. "Cowboy" Chewning Shan M. "Cowboy" Chewning, 90, of Amarillo died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, in Bossier City, La. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in N.S. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Chewning was born Feb. 23, 1913, in Paris, to Robert and Pearlie Chewning. He married Hazel Lou Parr in November 1932. Mr. Chewning was a brakeman and a conductor for Santa Fe Railway for more than 30 years before retiring. He was a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church and Quarter Horse Association. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1988; and a daughter, Shirley J. Christopher in 1966. Survivors include three sons, Marcus M. Chewning and Parr W. Chewning, both of Amarillo, and Dudley G. Chewning of Bossier City; a daughter, Shanna L. Bourn of Houston; a sister, Dorothy I. Agapito of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Feb. 15, 2003 Elsewhere Marie Carmichael Reed JACKSONVILLE - Marie Carmichael Reed, 75, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003, in Tyler. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Thompson Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Reed was born to Chasteen Carmichael and Jeannette Dean on Aug. 21, 1927, in Aquilla. In 1928, the family moved to Miami, in the Texas Panhandle, where Marie lived until her graduation from high school. She moved to Amarillo to attend business school and later was employed by Santa Fe Railway in Amarillo. There she met her future husband. Marie and Charles Reed were married on May 27, 1950, in Miami. They made their home in Amarillo for many years and raised their sons, Bill and Tom there. When Charles retired from his job as an engineer for Santa Fe, the couple moved to Jacksonville in the late 1970s, leaving behind many good friends in Amarillo. Marie was a friend to all who knew her and will be missed by her many friends and family, and especially by her niece, Susan, who affectionately remembers her as "Aunt Ree." She was preceded in death by her husband; and her parents. Survivors include two sons, Bill Reed and wife, Becky, of San Angelo and Tom Reed of Jacksonville; a sister, Frances Deen Maddox of Amarillo; a brother, Jack Carmichael and wife, Jean, of Hurst; a granddaughter, Lindsey Reed; a great-granddaughter, Leah Renee; eight nieces and nephews, Susan Maddox, Bob Maddox, Elizabeth Maddox, Christopher Mark Nuss, Beverly Lipski, Nancy Wooten, John Carmichael and James Carmichael; and three cousins, Charles Dean of Aquilla, Joe Harold Deane of New York City and Wanda Gant of Whitney. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Tims of Chickasha, Okla., officiating. Burial will be in Quanah Memorial Park by Smith Funeral Home. Mrs. Gravley was born Jan. 15, 1943, in Quanah and was a lifetime resident. She married Derwood Gravley on May 24, 1962. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Jerolyn Beyer of Abilene, Darla Gravley of Quanah and Judith Gravley of Anson; a sister, Pauline Livingston of Quanah; three brothers, Don Davis of Bridgeport, Melvin Davis of Nederland and Royce Davis of Seguin. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Rest Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Bulin, pastor of Avenue Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home. Mrs. Morrow was born Feb. 1, 1907, in Beckham County, Okla. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hereford. Survivors include a daughter, Jo Robnett of Sherman; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Hereford Senior Citizens; or a favorite charity. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in New Wine Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home. Mr. Almazan was born Aug. 7, 1965, in Hereford. He was a member of New Wine Assembly of God. Survivors include his parents, Roberto and Albina Almazan of Hereford; two sisters, Amanda Gonzalez of Hereford and Sandra Villalobos of San Antonio; and two stepbrothers, Roberto Almazan of Florida and Jerry Almazan of Sonora. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in Mary Ellen and Harvester Church of Christ with Rodney Tedford, minister, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Griffin was a decorated veteran of the Air Force, serving during Vietnam. He was a member of Mary Ellen and Harvester Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Judith; a son, John Griffin of Pampa; a sister, Lorrie Robledo of Brownwood; three stepsons, Randy Wehrman and David Wehrman, both of Arizona, and Charles Wehrman of Kentucky; four stepdaughters, Jenny Wehrman of Kentucky, Judy Weese of Indiana, Katherine Lipps of Iowa and Beth Skoczek of South Carolina; a brother, Charles Griffin of Borger; and 15 grandchildren.
