Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mrs. Adamie was born March 8, 1939, in Oklahoma. She was a secretary for Phillips Petroleum Co. Survivors include her husband, Philip; a son, Nathan Gillilan of Borger; two stepsons, Kurt Adamie of Fort Worth and Scott Adamie of North Ridgeland Hills; a daughter, Shelly Cantrell of Rio Rancho, N.M.; her mother, Vicell McDonald of Fritch; two sisters, Charlene Sherwood of Canyon and Linda Wesson of Childersburg, Ala.; and nine grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Jim McGhee officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Amarillo by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon. Mr. Irlbeck was born Aug. 1, 1922, in Happy to J.L. and Theresa Lange Irlbeck. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the 166AAA gun battalion which served in the Pacific region. After his years in the service he was a farmer. He married Emma D. Joseph of Amarillo on June 17, 1967. He was a member of the VFW Post No. 05681 of Canyon and also was a member of the Senior Citizens of Hereford. He was a resident of King's Manor. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; a brother, Ralph Irlbeck; and a sister, Roberta Artho. Survivors include two sisters, Teresa Tomsu of Kress and Marjorie Hollabaugh of Amarillo; and five brothers, Ted Irlbeck of Kerrick, Al Irlbeck of Happy, Cyril Irlbeck of Amarillo, Harold Irlbeck of Copperas Cove and Tom Irlbeck of Denton. He had spent most of his younger life in the Panhandle of Texas before moving to Plainview in 1963. She moved from Pampa to Spearman where she lived for 53 years. She married Milton T. Brown in 1939 at Sayre, Okla. He died in 1993. She was a homemaker and member of First United Methodist Church. She cared for children in her home for many years. Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park by Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Pendergrass was born June 23, 1931, in Highsplant, Ky. He married Anna Masterson on April 19, 1953, in Carlsbad, N.M. Private graveside rites and burial will be in East Mound Cemetery by Seigler Funeral Home. Mr. Stafford was born Oct. 31, 1942, in Matador. He graduated from Matador High School and from T.C.U. in 1965. He was married to the former Lindy Armstrong in 1964. He returned to Matador in 1974 after living in Dallas, DeKalb and Mount Pleasant for several years. He was a farmer and rancher. He played football for TCU during his college years. He was a trustee of the First United Methodist Church at Matador, a past director of both the Foundation Beefmaster Association and Beefmasters Breeders United. He was a former president of the Panhandle/New Mexico Beefmaster Breeders Association. He was a former member of the Motley County School Board, was an FFA Honorary Chapter Farmer and was a member of the Matador Lions Club. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Wesley of Sweetwater and David of Matador; two brothers, Dr. Bob Stafford of Amarillo and Richard Stafford of Dallas; a sister, Shirley Roberson of Lubbock; and three grandchildren. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Kerrville Funeral Home of Kerrville. Mrs. Caperton was born in Mobeetie where she married her husband, Robert Caperton, now deceased. She moved to Kerrville in 1970 where she remained until her death. Osage St. Mr. Liedtke was born in Paducah. He moved to Amarillo in 1954 from Paducah. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He served the floral industry as a wholesale florist for 49 years. In 1972, along with his partner, Joe Harris, he opened J&E Wholesale Floral Company. He served as wholesale director of the Texas State Florist Association. He was a charter member of the WesTexas-New Mexico Florist Association and served as president in 1987. He was Florist of the Year in 1989 and received the distinguished "Silver Rose" award in 1993. He was an avid fisherman and had lots of stories to tell. He married Kara Jean Wall in 1954 at Childress. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Paula Black and husband, Randy, of Panhandle; two sons, Doug Liedtke and wife, Kathy, and Roger Liedtke and wife, Chelle, all of Amarillo; a brother, Tommy Liedtke of Amarillo; a foreign exchange student daughter, Jun Miki and husband, Yuji, of Japan; 16 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She lived in Pawnee, Okla., for many years before retiring to Clarendon. She then moved to Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; a daughter, Elaine Crider; her mother and father; brothers; and a sister. She married Elmer Youts on May 28, 1929, in Earlsboro, Okla. He preceded her in death in 1985. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Dimmitt where she sang in the choir for 60 years, and she was the treasurer for W.M.U. at the church for 50 years. She moved to Amarillo in 1996 to Ware Memorial Care Center from Dimmitt. Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Jackson and husband, Al, of Dimmitt and Pat Sligh and husband, A.P. "Slick" of Monahans; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She warmed her family with her love and her crocheted blankets. She loved gardening, baking and listening to music. She also loved dancing with her grandchildren. She spent many hours telling fascinating stories to her grandchildren of her life in the early 1900s from traveling in a covered wagon to riding in the family's first car. "Dean" Holman James W. "Dean" Holman, 81, of Amarillo died Friday, Feb. 14, 2003. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Paul United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Holman was born and raised in Amarillo. He joined the Navy in 1942 and was discharged in 1945. He married Veda Geisler on Feb. 26, 1949. He was the founder of Troop 86 at St. Paul United Methodist Church and was scout master for more than 30 years. He worked for Quality Sheet Metal and Contractors for more than 25 years before retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Plumbers and Steam Fitters Union Local No. 196 and a charter member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Janie H. Plaster and husband, Rick, of Amarillo; three sisters, Johnnie Vaughn and Ollie Jones, both of Amarillo, and Nicki Goodman of Albuquerque, N.M.; four grandchildren, Casei Holman, April Mahaffey, Whitney Howard and David C. She married Fred Nunn on Sept. 25, 1961, in Amarillo. He preceded her in death on Sept. 17, 2002. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
