Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jim Terry, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at a later date by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mrs. Harvey was born July 1, 1920, in Sikeston, Mo., and had been a Borger resident since 1978. She was a homemaker and mother. She taught school at Hugoton, Kan., Dumas and Beaver, Okla. She married John Harvey on April 15, 1945, in Sikeston. She was a member of PEO Sisterhood Chapter C.S. Her hobbies were painting, sculpting, sewing, pottery, square dancing, round dancing and fishing. Survivors include her husband; four sons, John W. Harvey and wife, Liz, of Gainesville, Fla., James E. Harvey and wife, Jody, of Sumter, S.C., Richard L. Harvey and wife, Carolyn, of Del City, Okla., and Roger A. Harvey and wife, Karen, of Fort Collins, Colo.; four brothers, William Hahs and James Hahs, both of Sikeston, Charles Hahs of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Tom Hahs of St. Louis, Mo.; a sister, Lucille Smith of Cincinnati; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Casketbearers will be her grandchildren, Ashley Harvey Radin, Tim Harvey, Thad Harvey, Jason Harvey, Brian Harvey, Jessica Harvey and Brady Marie Harvey. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Assembly of God with the Rev. Ernest Brown, the Rev. Carl Copeland and Tom Posey officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Hughs Funeral Home. Mrs. Floyd was born Dec. 11, 1912, in Valley Mills, to the late Mr. Sim Goodall and Mrs. Anna Bonds Goodall. She attended grammar school in Valley Mills and Meridian. She graduated from Memphis High School in 1931. Nina then attended Clifton Junior College, North Texas State and 4C Business School. She also attended Hall County Hospital Licensed Vocational Nurse School, where she was in the first class to graduate. She moved to Memphis in 1954 from Meridian. She married Perry Clifton Glover on Jan. 17, 1935, in Meridian. She later married Dolton Floyd on April 17, 1973, in Hollis, Okla. She worked as an LVN at Goodall Hospital and Hall County Hospital, where she retired at the age of 70. She was a member of Eastern Star in Meridian, Hedley No. 413 and Wellington No. 238. Nina was a member of First United Methodist Church in Meridian and Valley Mills, and a member of First Assembly of God in Memphis. She was preceded in death by her first husband on April 26, 1968; her second husband on Aug. 7, 1983; a brother, Dr. O.R. Goodall; and a sister, Anna May Campbell. Survivors include three daughters, Carol Glover, Nina Wren Harman and Perry Jo Boland, all of Amarillo; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mr. Melton was born June 6, 1922, in Cement, Okla. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps, serving during World War II. Cuyler St., Pampa, TX 79065; or a Church of Christ of your choice. Amarillo Globe-News, Feb. 21, 2003 David Carl Edwards DUMAS - David Carl Edwards, 77, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Calvary Baptist Church with Brad Foster, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. Mr. Edwards was born in Wolfe City and raised in Amarillo. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1945. He went into the Navy for three years, was a deep sea diver and served on Midway Island. He attended Texas Tech, Amarillo College and Texas A&M, graduating in 1954. Later he got an ABS in aviation management, an MBA, and after retiring, he got an associate's degree in air frame and power plant. He married Faye Stone on June 25, 1950, and God blessed them with five beautiful girls. He worked for an offshore drilling company in New Orleans, then for Brown and Root in Houston, the highway department in Amarillo, and for civil service in Tulsa, Okla., Tucson, Ariz., and Washington, D.C. He then went to Pusan, Korea, for four years, to Camp Pendleton, Calif., to Camp Humphries, Korea, for two years then back to Camp Pendleton. He retired in 1986 and came back to Amarillo in 1992. He was a man of integrity, honesty and faithful to his wife and family. He was a Southern Baptist, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Dumas, where he was a deacon and Sunday school teacher. He also supported and served as president of several PTAs. David loved to work with wood and make many items for his family. He learned to fly in Tucson. He was a flight instructor. He loved to say he was a "lover, a fighter and a wild bull rider, and a pretty good windmill hand." He was dearly loved by his wife and children. It is hard to put into words a lifetime of living and serving the Lord, his family and his community. Well done, good and faithful servant. Cooper on Oct. 9, 1924, in Sayre, Okla., and he preceded her in death in 1971. She moved to Groom in 1944. On Dec. 28, 1976, she married a longtime friend, Steve Knowles in Erick, Okla., and he preceded her in death in 1981. She was a member of Groom United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school, bible school, sang in the choir and was an active member of United Methodist Women. Mr. Vogel was born Oct. 3, 1929, in San Saba, and had been a resident of Amarillo since 1961. He married his wife, Billie, on June 28, 1953, in Burnett. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the Army in the 187th Airborne Division. Mr. Vogel worked for Frontier Airlines as a ticket agent, retiring after 25 years. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in El Paso and was a Mason. Mr. Brown loved to fish and garden. He loved his family and was a very generous man. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Shiloh Cathedral of Praise Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. B.F. Roberts, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St. Mrs. Brown attended school in Roxton and accepted Christ at an early age. She was a charter member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church of Amarillo. She received a certificate in applied Christianity for the successful completion of five courses in the Seminary Extension Basic Curriculum Series on June 6, 1986. She served as secretary of the senior choir, taught the intermediate class of Sunday school for many years, teacher for Circle No. 1 of the W.M.S.U. and secretary of Baptist Training Union. She was a life member of Amarillo United Citizens Forum and crowned Mrs. Senior Citizen in 1986. Mrs. Brown moved to Chickasha in 1995 and lived with her son Harold W. Jackson, later moving to Christian Care Retirement Village. While there, Mrs. Brown continued to teach and be a witness for Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three sisters; and four brothers. Survivors include two sons, Harold W. Jackson and wife, Loretta Y., of Chickasha and Jack Thomas and wife, Corinne Miller, of San Antonio; a stepdaughter, Alice Watkins of Kansas City, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Opal Rodgers of Wichita Falls; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and many Christian friends. Amarillo Globe-News, Feb. 21, 2003 R.P. "Bob" Wilson R.P. "Bob" Wilson, 80, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in San Jacinto Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Moreland, minister of education, and Mike Kuhlman, minister of Arena Church of Happy, officiating. Private family burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Wilson was born March 7, 1922, in Ranger. He was a graduate of Amarillo High School. He married Roberta Chisholm in 1941 in Clovis, N.M. She died in 1997. Mr. Wilson served in the 365th Hell Hawks Fighter Group in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was one of the youngest master sergeants to serve in-theater in the Air Corps. His group operated in England, Italy, France and Belgium. Upon his return from the Army Air Corps, Mr. Wilson operated a Holstein dairy operation with his brother, Bill Wilson, outside of Canyon. Shortly thereafter, Bob served in law enforcement with Randall County Sheriff's force. In 1954, Mr. Wilson founded Western Specialty, became a partner in Weatherall Specialty, and then owned and operated R.P. Wilson Advertising since 1962. Mr. Wilson was the grandson of Panhandle pioneer wildcatter "Daddy" Bill McSpadden and was also the managing partner for McSpadden Oil Co. into the mid-nineties. At the time the company was sold, it was one of the oldest independent family-owned oil producing companies in the Panhandle oil fields. Mr. Wilson served as president of Tascosa Country Club in 1963 and was president of Amarillo Executive Association in 1971. Bob had the gift of a sharp wit coupled with a great sense of humor, and always lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed hunting, boating, fishing, golf, travel and especially the frequent trips to Las Vegas and ship cruises with his beloved wife, Roberta. His family, his kids, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his many, many friends were always his first concern, and he will be greatly missed. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church of Claude with the Rev. Howard Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in Claude Cemetery in Claude by Brooks Funeral Directors. Mr. Bonifield was born Dec. 19, 1909, in Delhi, Okla., to S.K. and Cora Bonifield. He was the second of eight children. He moved with his family from Delhi to Wilson, Okla., where his dad and a friend had a general store. The family moved back to Delhi during the depression and he graduated from high school there. He and his brother went from Delhi to Claude, where they put in a crop on a farm. The rest of the family came later. He had lived in Claude, Shamrock, Borger, Canyon, Dimmitt and Amarillo. He had farmed, worked for Pantex, U.S. Rubber, B.F. Goodrich and Phillips Petroleum Co. Clell was Baptist and accepted the Lord in Delhi when he was 16. He had been a member of a Baptist church wherever he lived. He married Bertha Faye Head on June 14, 1934, in Delhi. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary together. He was preceded in death by his wife; his older sister, Nettie Waggoner; four brothers, Elmo Bonifield, Murray Bonifield, Knox Bonifield and Dyer Bonifield; a sister-in-law, Judy Bonifield; a grandson, Randy Atkins; and a great-granddaughter, Brittany Atkins. He married Betty Sue Campbell on June 8, 1946, in Clovis, N.M. He was employed with Furr's Inc. as a butcher from 1946 until retiring in 1982 as senior executive vice-president. He owned and operated Bob's Convenient Store from 1983 until 1996. He was a member of New Horizon Baptist Church in Lubbock. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ron Green and wife, Jean, and Randy Green and wife, Denise, all of Lubbock; six grandchildren, Eric, Jennifer, Kristyn, Whitney and Kaitlyn Green and Shelby Nix; five sisters, Julie Briscoe of Dallas, Johnnie Davis, and Doll Howard, Mary Beth McCaslin and Opal Rae McCaslin, all of Tulia. The family suggests memorials be to Joe Arrington Cancer Center. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
