Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel. Mr. Dunlap was born Jan. 21, 1928, in Berlin, Okla. He was a farmer and rancher. Survivors include a son, Roy Dunlap of Borger; a daughter, Elizabeth Russell of Borger; three brothers, Jack Dunlap, Marvin Dunlap and Clifford Dunlap; five sisters, Dorothy McLean, Jeanett Phillips, Dane Cook, Mildred Caryton and Georgia Adams; and two grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Central Church of Christ with James Self of the church and Johnny Eastep, minister, officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home. Mrs. Draper was born June 10, 1914, in Wellington, to Elias Marion Hix and May Godfrey. She married Tom Draper on Feb. 7, 1946, in Wellington. She came to Deaf Smith County in 1947 from Tahoka. She was a member of Central Church of Christ of Hereford. She was an extension agent for 34 years. She was listed in World Who's Who of Women. She received the Texas Panhandle Distinguished Service Award, was a member of D.A.R. and was a member of Eastern Star for more than 50 years. She was past president of American Legion Auxiliary, and was chairman of Hereford's first Town and Country Jubilee and served as co-chairman for nine years. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 23, 2001. Survivors include two nephews, O.K. Neal Jr. of Lubbock and Marion H. Neal of La Grange, Ill.; her care givers, Patty Pena, Velia Valdez and Mary Gamboa; and many other nieces and nephews. She was married to Bill Job on Dec. 24, 1931. Mrs. Job moved to Canadian in 1942. Mr. and Mrs. Job owned Best Way Market for many years, where she was the bookkeeper. She was a member of First Christian Church and Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1986; a son, Billie Job; a grandson, David Morris; and a son-in-law, Johnny Morris. Amarillo Globe-News, March 7, 2003 Lou Hinds DALHART - Lou Hinds, 87, died Monday, March 3, 2003. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with Dr. Clifford Dane, minister of senior adults at the church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Horizon Funeral Home. Mr. Hinds died Monday at the age of 87. He died of complications from pneumonia and old age at Coon Memorial Hospital of Dalhart. Lou was born Aug. 23, 1915, in a farm house outside of Texline, as the second son to Sam and Essie Harris Hinds. He graduated from Texline High School in May 1933. Lou worked for a cafe in Texline for a few years after high school during the depths of the Great Depression for $1 a day and board. In 1936, Lou hopped a freight train and rode to Los Angeles, where he lived and worked in various jobs. In 1943 he married Joy Louise Scott of Bakersfield, Calif. Lou and Joy moved back to Texline in 1944 to farm on his dad's place and start a family. In 1947 they moved to Dalhart and Lou started working for Pete Metcalf selling butane. He worked for Allender's Furniture Store for five years and Scott Motor Co. selling Fords for 27 years, retiring in 1980. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1992, 11 months shy of their 50th wedding anniversary; and four brothers, Fred, Jack, Lee and Floyd. Survivors include two sons, Roger Hinds of Belton and Randy and wife, Cindy, of San Antonio; three granddaughters from Roger, Michelle Segner and husband, Mike, of Austin, Melissa Carpenter and husband, Steven, of Belton and Melody of College Station; and two great-grandchildren from Melissa and Steven, Jessica and Seth. He married Bernice Bartels on March 16, 1959. Mrs. Moberley was born Aug. 31, 1911, in Throckmorton to Clark and Anna Wilkinson. She lived in Plainview for 34 years, where she worked as a secretary for the Plainview Co-op Compress for 20 of those years. She spent 10 of the last 14 years in Throckmorton before moving to Amarillo with her son. She married Guy Moberley in Albany on Feb. 13, 1933. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985. Survivors include two sons, Pat Moberley of Littlefield and Lee Moberley of Amarillo; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harry Wilkinson of Sugar Land. Mr. Faubion made nitroglycerin and worked for Pantex as a young man. He retired from Texaco after 32 years. He had been active with Boy Scouts and was a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church. He married Maxine White in Electra in 1938. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1998; two sisters, Margaret and Loretta; and three brothers, John, Clarence and Loy Faubion. Survivors include two sons, Paul Wayne Faubion and James Carrol Faubion; a sister, Irene Catherall; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, March 7, 2003 Canyon Billie Jeanne Hartness Davis Billie Jeanne Hartness Davis, 83, of Canyon died Wednesday, March 5, 2003, in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. today in First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Don McDonald, pastor, officiating. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors. Mrs. Davis was born Aug. 28, 1919, in Perrin. She was the sixth of seven children born to Ruda Priscilla Lee and John Hartness. Billie took piano lessons as a young girl, and while still in grade school, traveled to various cities in north central Texas giving recitals and playing for church groups. After graduating from Adamson High School in Dallas, Billie played for dance classes and worked for an advertising agency in Dallas where she met Walter Ragland Davis. The couple married in Rosemont Christian Church in Dallas on Billie's birthday in 1940. Their first child, Walter R. Davis II was born June 13, 1942, while Walter was working at North American Aviation during World War II. Their second child, Patricia Ann Davis Hamilton was born Feb. 28, 1947. In the ensuing years Billie played piano and organ for her church, raised a family, and worked side-by-side with Walter in several restaurants they owned and managed. After her children left home, Billie worked for Texas Employment Commission in Dallas. She moved to Canyon in 2001, where she was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1991; two sisters; and three brothers. Survivors include a sister, Ruda Johnson of Canyon; a son, Walt Davis and wife, Isabel, of Canyon; a daughter, Patti Hamilton and husband, Cla, of Justin; four grandchildren, John Davis and wife, Tracey, of Dallas, Lee Davis and wife, Melissa, of McKinney, Kathy Hamilton Lee and husband, Ron, of Hurst and Benjamin Hamilton of Denton; and three great-grandchildren, James Lee and Madeline Lee, both of Hurst, and Quin Davis of McKinney. Burial will be in Staten Island, N.Y., at a later date. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home. Mr. Struyk served in the Army in Europe during World War II.
