Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Washita Cemetery in Hemphill County. Mrs. Wheeler lived in many areas, including Neosho, Mo., Highmore, S.D., and Eufaula, Okla. She moved to Pampa in 1982. Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl Waters and Connie Molitor, both of Pampa, and Vickie Wheeler of Eufaula; two sons, Bill Wheeler of Newcastle, Wyo., and Larry Wheeler of Neosho; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery by Myers-Long Funeral Directors. Mrs. Melton was born March 7, 1917, in Turkey. After leaving Turkey, she lived in Amarillo and Memphis. Survivors include two daughters, Imogene Molloy of Lakeview and Barbara Mullin-Reeve of Fort Worth; a son, Jerry Layne Melton of Red Oak; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Mr. Lawrence was born April 10, 1924, in Santa Fe, N.M. He was a graduate of McCurdy School in Espanola, N.M. He worked for Santa Fe Railway for 33 years and enjoyed photography and genealogy. Burial was at 10 a.m. March 27, in Dixon City Cemetery in Dixon, Mo. Mrs. Biehler was born in St. Louis, Mo., on June 23, 1909, to Clifford James Harper and Ella Cain Harper. She was a piano teacher and had lived in Amarillo since 1995. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, in 1984. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Biehler of Amarillo; and three nephews. Mrs. Heck was born Nov. 29, 1912, in Denton County. She was a graduate of St. Paul's School of Nursing in Dallas with her degree in nursing. Mrs. Heck served her country in the Army as a registered nurse in the Philippines. She had also worked at Northwest Texas Hospital and Bivins Nursing Home, both in Amarillo. Survivors include two daughters, Mary K. Heck and Barbara Davis, both of Amarillo; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Amarillo Globe-News, April 8, 2003 Johnie Forguson Johnie Forguson, 90, of Amarillo died Sunday, April 6, 2003. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in New Life Church with the Rev. Lee Walls, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock by Wright Funeral Directors of Shamrock. Mr. Forguson was born March 16, 1913, in Madill, Okla., one of 12 children born to William Joseph and Effie Foote Forguson. He married Mabel Wheeler on Feb. 15, 1936, in Madill. After several years of farming in Marshall County, Okla., Johnie and his family moved to Amarillo in 1946. Mr. Forguson worked for Asarco for the next 30 years, retiring in 1975. He then moved to Shamrock, where he resided until 1998, at which time he moved back to Amarillo. He was a member of the Asarco 25 Year Club. Mr. Forguson was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Shamrock. He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Lee Forguson; six sisters, Verna May "Sissie" Bevels, Beulah Mary Foot, Esther Gammage, Frankie Harris, Vee Cox and Myrtle Susie Turner; and two brothers, Otis Forguson and Joseph "Cap" Forguson. Survivors include his wife; a son, Glenn Forguson of Amarillo; a brother, Clarence "Fergie" Forguson of Amarillo; two sisters, Edith Danley of Amarillo and Viva Foster of Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Osage St. Mrs. Thompson was born in Littlefield. She married Billy Roy Thompson in 1955. She moved to Amarillo in 1961 from Hereford. She worked for Furr's grocery stores, including Homeland and Food King for 36 years in the produce department. She retired in 1998. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992; and three grandchildren, Philip and Jason Thompson in 1988 and Ryan Proffitt in 1983. Survivors include four daughters, Carla Ivey, Cindy Knierin and Diana Thompson, all of Amarillo, and Chrystal Proffitt of Waxahachie; a son, Rickey Roy Thompson of Amarillo; a sister, Ardie Boucher of Kenosha, Wis.; two brothers, Bill Frerrich of Las Vegas and Anthony of Golden, Colo.; and seven grandchildren. She married Charles Bogard in Lovington on Sept. 1, 1956. She was a teacher for Amarillo Independent School District. She and her husband owned and operated a real estate investment company. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Clay Bogard in 1973; and her parents, Curry and Hettie Mae Pruit.
