Mass will be at 11 a.m. today in Sacred Heart Church in Spearman. Burial will be in Hansford Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Renner was born to Hattie and Joe Venneman on April 13, 1907, in Butte, Mont. She moved with her parents to Hansford County in 1908 to live on the land northwest of Spearman, where her dad had settled in 1906, and prepared a home for them. She attended Catholic schools in Chillicothe, Mo., riding the train every year and boarding with relatives. She was so happy when she finished school and never again had to leave Hansford County. She married John Stewart in 1940 and was widowed in 1944. She married N.F. "Gus" Renner in 1952 and he passed away in 1998. Clementine was blessed with good health and a sharp mind until the time of her death. She was involved in farming and ranching all her life. She played an integral part in building the Catholic church in Spearman in 1949, and faithfully served in every capacity of church work throughout her entire life. She was a charter member of Sacred Heart Women's Guild and was named Diocesan Council of Catholic Women's Woman of the Year in 1990. She was a member of Twentieth Century Club, served on the hospital auxiliary and volunteered for the American Cancer Society, collecting money door-to-door for many years. She was a charter member of Hansford County Historical Commission and was awarded a Merit of Historic Preservation by the Texas Historical Commission in 1991. She and her husband, Gus, were co-founders of the Stationmaster's House Museum in Spearman. She constantly crocheted blankets and made quilts for nieces, nephews, unwed mothers and the nursing homes in Panhandle and Spearman. The nieces and nephew could not pronounce Clementine as young children, thus, she became known to three generations as "Aunt Teteen." She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; and a brother, John Venneman. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Fanny Venneman of Spearman; two nieces, Mary Venneman of Spearman and Hattie Davis of Hooker, Okla.; a nephew, Joe T. Venneman and wife, Linda, of Gruver; three great-nephews, Mark Davis and wife, Tiffany, of Hooker, Klint Venneman and wife, Traci, of Gruver, and Micah Davis of Weatherford, Okla.; three great-nieces, Holly Gifford and husband, Justin, and Kim Cooper and husband, Clint, all of Amarillo, Kaley Martens and husband, Wiley, of Enid, Okla.; two great-great-nieces, Morgan Ross Venneman and Kennedy Venneman, both of Gruver; a great-great-nephew, Gus Gifford of Amarillo. Mrs. Morgan was born Aug. 23, 1918, in Haywood, Okla. She was a longtime former resident of Borger. She was greatly loved and will be missed by all. Mr. Salazar was born Jan. 4, 1930, in Tucumcari, N.M. He retired as a track supervisor from Santa Fe Railroad. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, belonged to PAGA Club and was a member of American Bowling Club. He was a beloved father, grandfather and will be greatly missed. Survivors include six sons, Robert Salazar Jr. of Amarillo, John F. Salazar of El Paso, and Daniel Salazar, Frank A. Osage St. Mr. Folkner was born in Dodge City, Kan. He moved to Amarillo in 1948 from Washington. He married Jeanne Brown in 1959 at Amarillo. He worked as a painting contractor, retiring in 2002. They moved to Amarillo in 1974. Betty was a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church. She worked for White and Kirk Department Store in Amarillo for many years. Her family wishes to thank the volunteers with Meals on Wheels who were so kind and thoughtful, and also to thank all of her loving caregivers. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983.
