Arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mrs. Beams was born Dec. 19, 1919, in Bald Knob, Ark. She married Davis Beams on Oct. 8, 1947, in Idabel, Okla. Survivors include her husband; a son, Michael D. Beams of Oklahoma; a daughter, Angela Beams of Fritch; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Mr. Herrera was a resident of Friona for the past five years, moving from Sonora. He was born Feb. 16, 1972, in Corpus Christi. He married Rachael Turner on March 23, in Friona. He was a sergeant at the Friona Police Department. He was a member of the U.S. Police K-9 Association. He currently handled the K-9 unit of the Friona Police Department. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dena Herrera in 1989. She was a member of Golden K Kiwanis Club, Northwest Texas Hospital Auxiliary, Texas Retired Officers Association of The 36th Infantry Division, Beta Sigma Phi sorority and Paramount Terrace Christian Church. She married Kent Cline on June 22, 1941, in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 22, 1995. Interstate 40. Mr. Buckles was born Feb. 23, 1931, in Kiowa, Kan., to Dwight Eli and Gladys Alva Hendricks Buckles. He served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He was a member of the Amarillo Police Department from 1955 to 1959, director of Amarillo Animal Shelter from 1959 to 1976 and was a deputy with the Potter County Sheriff's Office from 1976 to 1990. He was a member of Palo Duro Masonic Lodge and Mescalero Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father in 1991; his mother in 1994; and an infant sister in 1928. He worked as the product manager for CSG for several years. He was currently employed with Burris and Matthews as a sales representative. Mr. Grooms was active with the children's ministry at Southwest Baptist Church, Oasis Motorcycle Ministry, Golden Spread Emmaus Community and Promise Keepers. He was a Boys Ranch alumnus. He married Paige Stembridge in 1990 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Resthaven Cemetery. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. today in Westmont Christian Church with the Rev. Clint Stephenson officiating. Arrangements are by White Funeral Home. Mrs. Bridgeman was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Anita Renfro Stuart. She was born June 9, 1925, in Dallas. She attended school in Dallas and graduated from Our Lady of Victory in Fort Worth. She married L.Z. "Zeke" Bridgeman on Feb. 6, 1946, in Dallas. To their union twin daughters, Connie and Glenna, were born. Anita and Zeke lived in Snyder and Midland and eventually moved to Lubbock in 1961. Anita worked for Wellborn-Markham Oil and Christmann Co. in Lubbock for many years. Anita was also involved in civic activities ranging from being a scout leader, a member of Oil Secretaries Association, Snyder PTA, First Christian Church in Snyder and a charter member of the Optimist Club in Snyder. After moving to Lubbock, Anita and Zeke placed membership with Westmont Christian Church where she remained active until her death. She was a true homemaker and always tended to the needs of her family. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Connie Hollinshead of Lubbock and Glenna Chisum of Amarillo; three grandchildren, Kristin Mendez and husband, Larry, of Amarillo, J. Hollinshead and wife, Christy, of Lubbock and Ashley Graves and husband, Larry, of New Home; four great-grandchildren, Tyler Mendez, Channing Mendez, Savanna Graves and Jaden Hollinshead; a special friend and sister-in-law, Dina Lawrence of Lubbock; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
