Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Stinnett Cemetery with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe officiating. Arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mrs. Thomas married Bob Thomas on Jan. 31, 1953, in Lubbock. She was preceded in death by a son, Willie Bob Thomas; her parents, Conley Lee Cabler and Rosie Mae Buchanan; a brother, C.L. Cabler; and a sister, Mary Ella Buchanan. Survivors include her husband; four sons, Roy Thomas and wife, Karen, Tommy Thomas and Earl Thomas, all of Fritch, and Bobby Thomas and wife, Wanda, of Turpin, Okla.; three daughters, Doretha Thomas and husband, Bob, and Debbie Thomas, all of Lubbock, and Betty Cox and husband, Roger, of Summersville, S.C.; a brother, David Buchanan of Lubbock; a sister, Virgie Stalter of Lubbock; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, April 21, 2003 Offie Viola Denton Wise FLOYDADA - Offie Viola Denton Wise, 94, died Saturday, April 19, 2003. Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. today in Floydada Cemetery with Mike Holster, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home. Mrs. Wise was born Oct. 11, 1908, in Crowell to the late Sam Denton and Mary Thomas Denton. She married Cargile H. Wise on March 1, 1926, in Paducah. They moved to Floydada in 1934 and lived there until they moved to Amarillo in 1993. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, C.H. and Denton Wise; her parents; a sister; and a brother. Survivors include three daughters, Mona Wise and Irene Grabber, both of Amarillo, and Mary Caffee of Green River, Utah; two brothers, J.P. Denton of Midland and Leroy Denton of Lubbock; three sisters, Mattie Cross of Kerrville, May Compton of Alba and Jo Zammit of Burbank, Calif.; four goddaughters, Peggy Sprang, Renee Lax, Kathy Lax and Robin Lax; three godsons, Peter, Jim and Darelle; two grandsons; three granddaughters; three great-grandsons; a great-great-granddaughter; and a special caretaker, Connie Duncan. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Lenapah Cemetery of Lenapah, Okla. Ms. White was born Jan. 12, 1941, in Alluwe, Okla. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include two daughters, Susan Foster of Milburn, Okla., and Kay Davies of Pampa; a son, Earl Richardson of Milburn, Okla.; her parents, H.A. and Lesta Sloan of Pampa; a brother, Donald Dick of Maynard, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and three great-granddaughters. Johnny Robertson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home. Mr. Fromm was born April 3, 1930, in Childress. He was a game warden. Survivors include his wife, Anne; a son, Kurt Fromm of Childress; a sister, Carol Davidson of Montgomery; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Bob Alexander, assistant pastor of Northside Pentecostal Church in Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Rowe Cemetery of Hedley. Mrs. Allen was born Nov. 22, 1936, to John Howard Holbert and Nora D. Flemming. She married Cletis A. Allen on Feb. 24, 1954, in Memphis. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Carolyn Stratton of Amarillo; a son, Jimmy Allen of Amarillo; three sisters, Lois Ewing of Amarillo, Patsy Garrett of Terrell and Maureen Rasco of Childress; two brothers, Vaudie Holbert of Floydada and Martin Holbert of Houston; and three grandchildren.
