Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Palo Duro Baptist Church in Wildorado with the Rev. Ron Muller, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Palo Duro Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Hall was born in Lebanon, Ind. She had attended First Baptist Church in Vega for a long time and was most recently a member at Palo Duro Baptist Church in Wildorado. She worked as a hairdresser in Amarillo and Vega for 25 years. She was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Merritt. Survivors include two daughters, Delin Harris of Wildorado and Mindy Thompson of Coweta, Okla.; two sons, Bill Rouse Jr. of Spanaway, Wash., and Robert Rouse of Norman, Okla.; four brothers, Rick Merritt, Don Merritt and Jim Merritt, all of Indiana, and Dennis Merritt of Vega; three sisters, Sharon Scolley of Vega, Martha Ridge of Indiana and Cheryl Lynn Heffner of Texas; and 15 grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, April 22, 2003 Doris Adams Metcalf TULIA - Doris Adams Metcalf, 72, died Sunday, April 20, 2003. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Davenport, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery by Wallace Funeral Home. Mrs. Metcalf was born July 6, 1930, in Stonewall County to Lillie and T.C. Adams Sr. She grew up in Wrights Chapel Community and graduated from Aspermont High School in 1948. She moved to Tulia in 1957. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a former member of the Tulia Progressive Study Club. She was an avid bowler. She loved her children and grandchildren and was totally devoted to all their sporting activities. She was know by her grandchildren's teammates as "Nanny". She will be sorely missed by numerous friends and family who received her famous peanut brittle at Christmas time. Her greatest accomplishment was raising a child with special needs to live a very normal life against many obstacles. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Metcalf Merritt; her parents; three brothers; and four sisters. He was preceded in death by his wife on April 21, 1995; a son, Rojelio De La Rosa; two brothers; and three sisters. Georgia St. Mrs. Huseman was born in Dimmitt on Aug. 20, 1957, and raised in Nazareth. She graduated from Nazareth High School and West Texas State University. She resided in Amarillo and worked for Asarco until 1987. She married Allen Freeman in Amarillo in 1988. She became a medical technician in 1988 and worked as one in Amarillo then Nederland and later Big Spring. She moved to Nederland in 1991 then to Big Spring in 1997, returning to Amarillo in 2001. She attended St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Her priority was providing a warm and comforting home for her family. She enjoyed gardening and working with flowers in the yard. She was a loving wife of Allen and loving and devoted mother of Jared, Chris, Sarah and Annie. Her family is very thankful for the honor of having Lori in their lives. We will always remember her with love. Osage St. Mr. Mitchell was born in Hale County and moved to Amarillo in 1970. He worked as a contract electrician until he retired in 1993. Mr. Fox was born in Hansford County. He graduated from Gruver High School and attended Texas Tech University where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha social fraternity. He served in the Army during the Korean conflict. He married Beth Pemberton in Lubbock on Jan. 6, 1956. He was a farmer/rancher for the majority of his life. He was also in the elevator business in Spearman and Gruver. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Gruver. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Shari Sanchez and husband, Adam, of Amarillo; a son, Mark Fox and wife, Eileen, of Amarillo; and a sister, Ruth Meador and husband, Dr. Hal Meador, of San Antonio. Cemetery by The Gabriels Funeral Chapel. Mr. Creek was born March 19, 1951, in Amarillo. He served in the Marines for two tours of duty in Vietnam and as a drill instructor at Camp Pendleton, Calif. At the time of his death he was co-owner of Spectraflames in Georgetown. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ross Sr. and Bobbie Creek; and his brother, Tom Creek, who was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for saving five of his fellow Marines on Feb. 13, 1969. Survivors include a son, Michael Lewis; a brother, Ross Creek Jr. and wife, Kris; and a niece, Candy Dewitz and husband, Jimmy, of Amarillo.
