Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Gruver Church of Christ with Andy Burleson, Lee Bob Harper and Rev. Scott Curry officiating. Burial will be in Gruver Cemetery by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon, Okla. Mrs. Cluck was born July 2, 1932, to Ila (Tomlison) and Howard Cline in Hansford County. She married Robert Durward 'Bob' Cluck on Dec. 31, 1949 and the Clucks farmed and ranched in Hansford and Sherman counties. Mrs. Cluck was a member of Gruver Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died April 2, 2002; her parents, a sister, Billy Dean Barkley, and a brother, Hootie Cline. Survivors include a daughter, Lee Wilhelm and husband, Mike, of Gruver; a son, Kim Cluck, of Spearman; three grandchildren, Lee Bob Harper and wife, Jennifer, and Quentin Harper and wife, Kelly, all of Gruver, and Kala Schmitto and husband, Danny, of Denton; a sister, Cease Riley of Gruver; a brother, Bub Cline of Richardson; and a great-granddaughter Laney Lee Harper. Amarillo Globe-News, April 26, 2003 Mildred Fuhrmann HEREFORD - Mildred Fuhrmann, 83, died Thursday, April 24, 2003. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church. Ashes will be buried at Center Chapel Cemetery in Roger Mills County, Okla. Arrangements are by N.S. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Fuhrmann was born to Dow and Maud Jones in Roger Mills County, Oklahoma, in 1919. She married Ronald Fuhrmann in 1940 in Oklahoma City. They moved to Hereford in 1956 from Adrian. Previously, the Fuhrmanns had farmed near Mayfield, Kan. Upon arrival in Hereford, Mrs. Fuhrmann worked as a secretary at First United Methodist Church, then as cashier at Hereford Texas Federal Credit Union and finally as legal secretary for attorneys Witherspoon, Aikin and Langley for 22 years. She retired in 1981. She also served as secretary to the legal counsel of Texas Sugar Beet Growers Association and legal secretary of Deaf Smith County from 1976 to 1977. Mrs. Fuhrmann chaired blood drives for the Deaf Smith County Chamber of Commerce for 10 years and was named Woman of the Year for 1991. She was active in civic organizations La Plata Club, Los Ciboleros Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, King's Manor Auxiliary, of which she was a past president, and Eastern Star, where she served two terms as Worthy Matron. In the United Methodist Church, she was chair of the caring committee, member of the choir, a local and district officer in United Methodist Women, Homebuilders Class, Carrie Black/Naomi Hare Circle, Daybreak Prayer Ministry and Emmaus Community. Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Glenda Fuhrmann of Black Mountain, N.C., Wanda Penner and Nedra Pedersen of Burbank, Calif., and Naomi Devers of Little Rock, Ark.; three sons, Stanley of Madison, Wis., Larry of Los Angeles, and Joel of East Windsor, N.J.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; three sisters, Frances Davis of Grass Valley, Calif., Paula Walker of Arcadia, Calif., Virginia Unruhe of Ojai, Calif.; and a brother, Calvin Jones, of Rio Rancho, N.M. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Perryton. Mrs. Sammons was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Sorosis Club and Senior Citizens Center. She was preceded in death by her parents William A. and Carrie Roper Walton; her husband, John Sammons on Sept. 3, 1993; three sisters and two brothers. Survivors include two sons, John Sammons and Ellis Sammons, both of Dallas; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three nieces. Wright 79, of Amarillo died Monday, April 21, 2003. Burial will be in Range Cemetery under the direction of Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon. Mrs. McCulley worked many years at Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon. She graduated from Hardesty schools in 1952. Amarillo Globe-News, April 26, 2003 Elsewhere Betty Jean Stanislao BOZEMAN, Mont. - Betty Jean Stanislao, 74, died Thursday, April 24, 2003. Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Sunday in Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mrs. Stanislao was born Nov. 18, 1928 in Amarillo, Texas, to Mary E. (Herbert) and George Rhodes. She received her schooling and graduated from St. Mary's Academy in Amarillo. She married Mario A. Stanislao, the love of her life, on May 1, 1946. They lived in Amarillo and worked numerous jobs. Later, they moved to Arvada, Colo., Crete, Ill., and Bellevue, Wash. They retired in Bozeman in 1990 to be close to their grandchildren. Mrs. Stanislao loved children and her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, the best mom and good friend to many. She was a member of Forresters, volunteered as a Candy Striper and was a member of Sons of Italy. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Ellen Marie Rhodes. Survivors include her husband; two sisters, Mary (Eric) Eden and Pat (David) Vitali; two sons, George (Carmen) Stanislao and Mario (Mary Jo) Stanislao; a brother-in-law, Dr. Joseph (Bettie) Stanislao; five grandchildren, Joe, Regina, Stacy, Stephanie and Mario III. Amarillo Globe-News, April 26, 2003 Levon Lewis "Pokey" Bonner KERRVILLE - Levon Lewis "Pokey" Bonner, 85, died Thursday, April 24, 2003. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Merriman-Archer Funeral Chapel in Throckmorton with the Rev. John Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Throckmorton Cemetery. Mr. Bonner was born June 11, 1917, in Parmer County. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1934. He was employed by the United States Post Office in Amarillo for 34 years. After retirement, he and his wife trailered for 10 years before making their home in the Texas Hill Country in Harper and Kerrville. He served in the Navy in World War II. He was the past commander of the American Legion Hanson Post 54 in Amarillo and the American Legion Post in Harper. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Bonner and Annie Mae Anderson, and a brother, Joe E. Bonner. Survivors include his wife, Genevieve; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert G. Bonner and wife, Hazel S. Bonner of Springfield, Va., and David E. Bonner and wife, Judy Bonner of Amarillo; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
