She loved crossword puzzles, home decorating and "The Young and the Restless." She was well loved and will be greatly missed. Mr. Durmon was born Oct. 30, 1933, in Warren, Ark. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1954, stationed at Amarillo Air Force Base, and had been a lifetime resident of Amarillo since. He was an aircraft mechanic for Tradewind Airport and the Whittenburg Hangar for many years until his retirement in 2002. He married Shirley Beedy on Oct. 30, 1979, and was a member of Village Park Church. Pallbearers will be Master Sgt.
