Mrs. Milligan was born Aug. 23, 1920, in Killeen to Mongo Park and Myrtle Eddith Long. She was later raised in Graham. She was a cafeteria employee at Dumas High School for 20 years. The last three years of her employment she was the manager. In 1942, she married Horace Lloyd "Buck" Milligan in El Paso during World War II. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women's and Fidelis Sunday School Class, V.F.W. Auxiliary, Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Retired Educators Association of Dumas, Senior Citizens of Dumas, 20th Century Study Club, Eastern Star No. 653, Young in Spirit and Golden Girls. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1977; a son, Gaylon Pat Milligan in 1951; a sister; a brother; two sisters-in-law; and two brothers-in-law. Mrs. Maxey was born Jan. 9, 1924, in Childress and had been a resident of Clarendon most of her life before moving to Amarillo four years ago. After the death of her first husband, Forrest J. Helton, she married Malcolm Warren Maxey on Feb. 28, 1949, and he preceded her in death on June 14, 1987. She had worked as a manager at Allsups Convenience Stores for several years prior to her retirement. She most enjoyed dancing and being with her family members and attending family reunions. Huber Corporation in Perryton with 36 years of service as a "company man." He was a charter member of Covenant of Joy Christian Church. He loved his church and was very active in the church with maintenance and other functions. He loved to attend high school football games, especially when his sons and grandson were playing. She was an advocate for the use of vitamins and natural food to help people live longer and healthier lives. She was preceded in death by her husband and both parents. Bush CAMARILLO, Calif. - Margaret H. Bush, 99, died Monday April 28, 2003. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Llano Cemetery where she will be buried next to her husband. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St. Mrs. Bush was born Dec. 23, 1903, near Estacado, Texas, to Guy and Nora Hamblin and was the oldest of six children. She graduated high school, attended secretarial school and lived and worked in Houston before marrying John S. Bush in 1929. They lived in Amarillo throughout her married life and raised two children. She was active in study, garden and bridge clubs. She was a member of the American Rose Society and was a longtime member of Paramount Terrace Christian Church. She was an excellent cook and known for growing prize roses. She moved to Camarillo in January 1998 to be near her family and was a member of Camarillo Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John S. Bush; a son, Jerry Don Bush of Fort Worth; and four siblings. He attended business school, started his federal occupation with the Army Engineers and other governmental agencies and retired in 1970 from the Helium Activity of the U.S. Bureau of Mines. He was a member of Chapelwood Methodist Church of Lake Jackson and was active with the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) while in Amarillo, and loved gardening. Pallbearers will be the United Methodist Men's Group and the Walker Sunday School Class represented by Roger Allen, Harley Humphrey, Bill Logan, Freddy Mathis, Ike Robertson and Marcus Stephenson. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Steele Jacobsen; his second wife, Ann Lee Jacobsen; his parents, Carl and Hansine Jacobsen; four brothers; and a sister.
