Wake services will be at 7:30 p.m. today in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home Chapel. Catholic Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with Monsignor Raymond Crosier of Amarillo officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery. Mrs. Hargrove was an administrator for Senior Village Nursing Home for 33 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Perryton. She retired in April 2001. She helped raise money for the Heart Association at Senior Village. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Katie Hurter. Survivors include her husband, Dudley; two sons, Mike Hargrove of Cleveland, Ohio, and Dennis Hargrove of Amarillo; two daughters, Cynthia Powell of Perryton and Paula Williams of Gruver; a brother, Gail Hurter of Perryton; two sisters, Kathy Allred and Janet McLain, both of Perryton; and 13 grandchildren. Vigil with rosary will be at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Bishop John Yanta of Amarillo and the Rev. Jim McGhee, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Mr. Dziuk was born Sept. 8, 1904, in Hobson. He married Irene Urbanczyk on Sept. 8, 1931, in White Deer. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1998; and four sons, William Dziuk in 1939, Robert Dziuk in 1974, Jimmy Dziuk in 1987 and Ed Dziuk Jr. in 2000. Survivors include two sons, Alfred E. Dziuk and David R. Dziuk, both of Hereford; a daughter, Ann Rose Stephens of Suquamish, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, May 14, 2003 Carla Meyer Dittberner PANHANDLE - Carla Meyer Dittberner, 45, died Monday, May 12, 2003, in Austin. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church in White Deer with the Rev. Calvin Winters, pastor of First Southern Baptist Church of Fritch, and the Rev. Harold Abney of Plainview officiating. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mrs. Dittberner was born Jan. 5, 1958, in Amarillo, to Carl and Carol Meyer of Skellytown. She was married to Terry Don Dittberner on Dec. 28, 1976. Carla was a mother, homemaker and served as church secretary of First Baptist Church in White Deer, where she and her family were members for many years. She taught children's Sunday school as well as children's choir and G.A.'s. She had a passion for music and loved singing as a member of the church praise team, and had been the church pianist. Carla was a past member of Veranda Blanco Study Club. After moving to Austin in 1997, she became a member of Hays Hills Baptist Church in Buda. Carla was a cancer survivor for 20 years following a bone marrow transplant in 1984 in Seattle. Survivors include her husband of Austin; a daughter, Tammy Michelle Yourman and husband, Brian, of New Braunfels; a son, Trey Jonathan of College Station; her parents of Skellytown; three brothers, Gary Meyer and wife, Cheryl, of Skellytown, Greg Meyer and wife, Constance, of Austin and John Meyer and wife, Susan, of Houston; her grandfather, E.S. Mr. McMillan worked for Santa Fe Railway for 43 years, retiring as a signal foreman in 1984. He was a veteran of the Navy, serving during World War II. Amarillo Globe-News, May 14, 2003 Thomas Allen "Pat" Kilpatrick Thomas Allen "Pat" Kilpatrick, 91, of Amarillo died Tuesday, May 13, 2003. Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with Dr. Howard Batson officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Kilpatrick married Mabel Beth Moore of Olney in 1931, and they were married for 71 years. He came to Amarillo as manager of Wesco Equipment and Welding Supply Co. He later bought the company and also owned stores in Clovis, N.M., and Hereford. Mr. Kilpatrick was a member of South Amarillo Kiwanis Club from its beginning, serving as president and also was lieutenant governor of the district. He was honored twice as Kiwanian of the Year. He was a member of First Baptist Church for 52 years, serving as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and usher. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Kline; and two sisters, Elaine Drake Nichols and Corliss Reynolds. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Carolyn Maas of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Connie O'Kill and husband, John, of Amarillo, Kathy Davis and husband, Dan, of Dallas, Phyllis Sheets and husband, Jerry, of Cleveland and Philip Maas and wife, Becky, of Richmond, Va.; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, William E. Mrs. Wilkerson was born Aug. 14, 1941, in Amarillo to Louis and Ethel Johnson. She lived most of her life in Amarillo until 1995, at which time she moved to Irving. Sandra was employed at Jet Aviation where she worked in accounts payable. She enjoyed spending her free time with her children, grandchildren and family. She was very caring, loving and unselfish. She was dedicated to her family and friends. She will truly be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Bill Johnson; and a nephew, Dr. Roddy Johnson. Mr. Haines was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother who departed this life peacefully in Rowlett. Mr. Haines was a veteran of service with the Navy during World War II. He retired as new car service manager for Sid Stout Ford in 1980. He was a life member of Oddfellows Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Haines; and a stepson, Jerry McAnally. Survivors include a daughter, Debra Torberson of Denver; a stepdaughter, Delores Whitmire of Houston; a stepson, Tom McAnally of Plano; two sisters, Anna Lee McCafferty of Amarillo and Nola Vee Haines of Chico, Calif.; two brothers, Alton Leroy Haines of Roswell, N.M., and Arlin Henry Haines of California; many grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was adopted and raised by Jay and Sallie Jerden in Jayton. He joined the Marine Corps in 1947 at age 17. He traveled the world and saw many things. Ed later became a lifelong salesman. Weems on Nov. 29, 1925. They moved to Amarillo from Groom in 1950. She retired from St. Anthony's Hospital and was named Employee of the Year in 1969. She had been a faithful member of Tenth Avenue United Methodist Church since 1951. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1958; a son, Delwin Wayne Weems in 1974; a granddaughter, Jolynn Mashburn in 1972; a grandson, Doug Weems in 2002; and a great-grandson, Eric Humphreys in 2000. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 8, in the Chapel of the Incarnate Word with Monsignor Joseph Tash of Amarillo officiating. Burial was in Convent Cemetery. Sister Josephine was born to Michael and Mary Ann Hogan Brosnan on Jan. 3, 1913, in County Kerry, Ireland. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word in October 1929, professing first vows in 1933 and perpetual vows in 1938. Sister Josephine ministered at St. Anthony's Hospital from the 1950s until her retirement in 1987. Sister Josephine was a member of American Hospital Association of Hospital Accounting, Catholic Hospital Association and National Association of Hospital Chaplains. Mrs. Alexander was born April 23, 1947, in Wellington. She graduated from Samnorwood High School and West Texas State University with a degree in psychology and sociology. She was a social worker and a member of First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Geneva Alexander. Services were at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel with Rabbi Gerald J. Klein officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas. Mrs. Davis was born and raised in Corsicana and graduated from Corsicana High School with honors. She attended the University of Texas at Austin for several years. Mrs. Davis was a creative writer and a published author including numerous Art of Living articles in Reader's Digest for 20 years, and wrote a national best-seller, "The Answer is God," the authorized biography of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. She also taught creative writing at Baylor University and University of Texas at Dallas. Elise was active as a board member of American Society of Journalists and Authors. She was a member of Temple Emanu-El in Dallas and League of Women Voters in Galveston. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Jay A. Davis; and a brother, Alvin Miller. Survivors include her husband, Leo; a daughter, Rayna Loeb and husband, Michael, of Dallas; a brother, Sidney Miller of Corsicana; two granddaughters, Elisabeth Loeb Jacobson of San Francisco and Emily Davis Loeb of Los Angeles; a great-granddaughter, Abigail Loeb Jacobson; a brother-in-law, Dr. Milton Davis and wife, Vera Nell, of Kemp; a sister-in-law, Ernestine Miller of Bartlesville, Okla.; and several dear nieces and nephews.
