Mrs. Riley was born Oct. 8, 1940, in Tulia. She married Roger Morgan on July 14, 1953, in Tulia. Mrs. Hefley was born June 27, 1924, to John and Melba Jeter in Junction City, La. She married J.R. Hefley Jr. on Dec. 24, 1948, in Shamrock. She had lived most of her life in Shamrock and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Shamrock Church of Christ and the Eastern Star. Max Beggs officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Melear was a faithful wife and mother for 55 years. But most of all, those who knew her knew her as a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. She married Charlie Melear on March 13, 1948, in Tallulah, La. She was a member of Abundant Life Pentecostal Holiness Church. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Bill Melear, Calvin Melear and Chuck Melear Jr., all of Amarillo; three sisters, Delores Townsend, Doris Maxwell and Pat Tupperville, all of Rayville, La.; two brothers, Donald Hutto and O'Neal Hutto, both of Rayville; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Rowland, also known as "Granny," had lived in Amarillo twice in her life, once from 1949 to 1980 and again from 1995. She was a homemaker most all of her life. Her true passions were her church and her family. She married Joe Finney on July 3, 1938, and he preceded her in death on July 1, 1970. She later married W. King Rowland on June 24, 1975, and he preceded her in death on May 3, 2003. Survivors include four daughters, Phyllis Howle and husband, Jim, of Amarillo, Norma Witkovsky and husband, George, of The Colony, and Linda Vessels and husband, Rusty, and Ann Curl, all of Amarillo; a sister, Louise Mann of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
