DeIorio, 76, formerly of San Benito, died Monday, May 26, 2003, in Amarillo. Services will be at noon Friday in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel in San Antonio. Burial will be in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Mr. DeIorio was born in Abilene on June 15, 1926. He served as a staff sergeant in the Army. He was a friend to all, a great lover of animals and enjoyed traveling, fishing and the beach. He was retired from M.E. Moses Co. after 33 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Rozelle; three daughters, Sherry Fies, Sandy Bray and Kim Seidel; three sons, Larry Loftin, Gary DeIorio and Vic DeIorio; four sisters, Mildred Maloney, Mary A. Morrison, Betty Morrison and Judy Hummel; two brothers, J.A. DeIorio and Arthur DeIorio; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Mr. Potter was born and raised in Carlsbad, N.M. He moved to Amarillo in 1957 from Carlsbad. Mr. Potter married Florence Bybe in 1965. She preceded him in death in 1978. He married Evelyn Ashworth on Sept. 2, 1983. Mr. Potter was a concrete finisher for J.D. Posser and Sons for 33 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a Lutheran. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Charles Potter of Morton, Donald Potter of Amarillo, David Potter of San Antonio and Allen Ashworth of Santa Fe, N.M.; five daughters, Kerry Larson, Teresa Bourland, Sherry Potter, Tina Davis and Tonia Hittson, all of Amarillo; a sister, Margaret Harvey of Carlsbad; 28 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Mr. Beckwith was a veteran of the Army, serving in World War II, the Korean War, and was a POW. He was a horticulturist. Amarillo Globe-News, May 29, 2003 Roger Crabtree Roger Crabtree, 54, of Amarillo died Sunday, May 25, 2003. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Oak Dale Grace Fellowship Church. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage. Mr. Crabtree was born in Cortez, Colo. He graduated from Palo Duro High School, where he had been active in the football program. He started his music career in 1965 playing with the Coachman Band. He was well-known locally and statewide for his harmonica playing. He was one of the original members of Alvin Crow and the Pleasant Valley Boys. He also toured with Waylon Jennings, Mel Tillis and played with various blues bands in Austin. He recorded several albums with Waylon Jennings and Alvin Crow. He was awarded a Grammy and Pickers Award. Mr. Crabtree worked as a journeyman carpenter in Austin and Amarillo. He returned to Amarillo in 2001. He married Jody Whitten in 2001 in Amarillo. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Justin Crabtree. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Amy Crabtree of Austin; a stepdaughter, Crista Warren of Amarillo; two brothers, Johnny Crabtree and Tommy Crabtree, both of Amarillo; and a sister, Venita Hoffman of Amarillo. Amarillo Globe-News, May 29, 2003 Bonnie Roberts Mills BOULDER, Colo. - Bonnie Roberts Mills, 81, died Sunday, May 25, 2003, in Louisville. Memorial services will be at a later date in Canyon, Texas. Arrangements are by Crist Mortuary. Mrs. Mills was born June 18, 1921, in Goree, Texas, to Norman and Hazel Connelley Roberts. She lived in Aspen from 1954 to 1977. In 1977, she moved to Amarillo, Texas, and resided there until September 2002, when she moved to Boulder. She married Walter B. Mills on Jan. 4, 1946, in Chicago. The Mills family developed the Aspen Country Club and Golf Course and Snowbunny Subdivision in Aspen in the later 1950s. She enjoyed bridge, art, golf, cooking and sports cars. Bonnie made and kept many good friends. She was especially fond of her children, her many nieces and her granddaughter, Aly Rush. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Norma Winningham. Survivors include a son, Joe Mills of Clearwater, Fla.; two daughters, Jann Mills of New Castle, and Bonnie Rush and husband, Davis, of Boulder; a brother, David Roberts of Amarillo; and a granddaughter. Mr. Simpson was born May 9, 1937, in Clayton, N.M., the son of Carrol Herbert and Ruth Bryan Davis Simpson. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Hooker.
