Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in Foursquare Gospel Church. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Jose Gomez officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Miss Rodriguez was a freshman at Perryton High School. She was a 2001-2002 junior high cheerleader and a Cinco De Mayo candidate. Survivors include her parents, Pedro and Cristina Rodriguez of Perryton; a brother, Jose Louis Pena of Perryton; and her grandparents, Luz Pena and Maria De Jesus Carvajal, both of Mexico. Mrs. Smith was a native of Paducah and a former resident of Lake City, Colo. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. Mr. Parker worked for Copolymer in Borger from 1950 to 1968. He was a measurement technician for Panhandle Producing Co. from 1981 to 1992 in Sanford. Survivors include his wife, Ruby; two sons, Joe C. Parker and Kim N. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd., with Otis Chuck Garrison, pastor of Oakdale Grace Fellowship Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Potter was born and raised in Carlsbad, N.M. He moved to Amarillo in 1957 from Carlsbad. Mr. Potter married Florence Bybe in 1965. She preceded him in death in 1978. He married Evelyn Ashworth on Sept. 2, 1983. Mr. Potter was a concrete finisher for J.D. Posser and Sons for 33 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a Lutheran. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Charles Potter of Morton, Donald Potter of Amarillo, David Potter of San Antonio and Allen Ashworth of Santa Fe, Texas; five daughters, Kerry Larson, Teresa Bourland, Sherry Potter, Tina Davis and Tonia Hittson, all of Amarillo; a sister, Margaret Harvey of Carlsbad; 28 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, May 30, 2003 Fred "Eddie" Albidres Fred "Eddie" Albidres, 53, of Amarillo died Sunday, May 25, 2003. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with Arlin E. Seymour, minister of Mesa Verde Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, officiating. Mr. Albidres moved to Amarillo 24 years ago from El Paso. He married Thelma Lawings on May 14, 1979, in Amarillo. At the time of his death, he was the owner and operator of Fred's Auto Parts. Mr. Albidres was a member of Amarillo Masonic Lodge No. 731 and was a 32nd Degree Mason. Mr. Albidres loved to race and was the owner of the Top Alcohol Funny Car, Texas Connection. He had always been good to the street people and homeless. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Diann Lawings in 1988 in Houston. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Allen Lawings and Shannon Poole, both of Amarillo; two daughters, Lisa Franssen of Alvarado and Karen Haney of Amarillo; his father, Celestino Albidres of Amarillo; a sister, Carma Cadena of Anthony; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Georgia St., with the Rev. Perry Hunsaker, assistant pastor of St. Paul Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Woods was born Dec. 22, 1917, in Floydada to Acey H. and Mary Loretta Suiter. She attended Amarillo High School and graduated from Lockney High School in 1936. She married Kenneth Harrison Woods on July 20, 1940. Mrs. Woods was preceded in death by her husband in 1961; a son, Keith Francis Woods in 1993; a grandson, Ryan Keith Woods in 1998; a sister, Melba Wegerson; and a brother, Jay Suiter. Survivors include a son, Craig Woods and wife, Anita, of Amarillo; two grandchildren, Matt Woods and Amy Woods, both of Amarillo; three sisters, Jeane Morris of Amarillo, Marielle Milhouse of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Juanita Holmes of La Mirada, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. Amarillo Globe-News, May 30, 2003 Dorothy Cody Bell Dorothy Cody Bell, 79, of Amarillo died Wednesday, May 28, 2003. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. today in Rector Funeral Home Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St., with Dr. Charles Jones, pastor of Second Baptist Church, officiating. Mrs. Bell was born in Wichita Falls. She was raised in Hartley, where she graduated from high school. She moved to Modesto, Calif., where she managed a restaurant for 10 years. She returned to Amarillo, where she worked at the Hickory Inn for four years, retiring because of illness. She was active at Second Baptist Church until she became disabled. She married Gene Cody in 1944 and he preceded her in death in 1973. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Ralph Bell in 1988. Mrs. Bell enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include three daughters, Darlene Sollberger, Wanda Yvonne Lee and Ginger Kay Johnston, all of Amarillo; two sons, Bob Cody of Amarillo and Tommy Jack Cody of Modesto, Calif.; a brother, Tommy Kelley of Lubbock; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in Southwest Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Amarillo with Randy Letcher officiating. Private burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors. Devron was a first grader at Crestview Elementary School in Canyon. He was born July 27, 1996, in Shattuck, Okla. The family is from Guymon, Okla., and previously resided in Woodward, Okla. Devron was quite a character, a sweet and happy child who loved animals, especially puppies. He loved to make and fly airplanes, go boating with his parents and fishing with his dad. He also loved going on the door to door ministry with his parents. Devron was one of the Jehovah's Witnesses and went to the Kingdom Hall in Canyon. The family wishes to thank the community, the many, many friends who lent their support at this difficult time and the many, many family members and friends who loved him very much. Although we will miss him so much, we are eager to see him again soon in Paradise on Earth. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Henson-Novak Funeral Directors Chapel in Guymon, Okla., with the Rev. Odie Nunley officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon. Mrs. Trent was born July 3, 1921, in the Rice Community, Texas County, Okla. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of First Baptist Church in Farmington. Survivors include two daughters, Sylvia Vigil of Aurora, Colo., and Twila of Fulton, Mo.; three sons, Albert Trent and Larry Trent, both of Seattle, and Ralph Trent of Salt Lake City; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, May 30, 2003 Elsewhere Bonnie Roberts Mills BOULDER, Colo. - Bonnie Roberts Mills, 81, died Sunday, May 25, 2003, in Louisville, Colo. Memorial services will be at a later date in Canyon, Texas. Arrangements are by Crist Mortuary. Mrs. Mills was born June 18, 1921, in Goree, Texas, to Norman and Hazel Connelley Roberts. She married Walter B. Mills on Jan. 4, 1946, in Chicago. The couple moved to Aspen in 1954. They later divorced. Bonnie resided in Amarillo, Texas, from 1977 until September 2002, when she moved to Boulder. She enjoyed bridge, art, golf, cooking and sports cars. Bonnie made and kept many good friends. She was especially fond of her children, her many nieces and nephews and her granddaughter, Aly Rush. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Norma Winningham. Survivors include a son, Joel Mills of Clearwater, Fla.; two daughters, Jann Mills of New Castle, and Bonnie Rush and husband, David, of Boulder; a brother, David Roberts of Amarillo; and a granddaughter.
