She had lived in Canadian for 10 years and worked as a nurse's aide. Amarillo Globe-News, June 8, 2003 Louise Sanders Reneau SHAMROCK - Louise Sanders Reneau, 78, died Wednesday, June 4, 2003. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Westman officiating. Arrangements are by Forest Ridge Funeral Home of Hurst. Mrs. Reneau was born March 24, 1925, in Tishomingo, Okla. She moved with her family and grew up in the area around Erick, Okla. She served her country during World War II by helping construct airplanes in the Los Angeles area. In 1951, she married James Royce Reneau. They farmed and ranched in Gray County as members of the Heald community. In 1959, they moved to Lela, establishing James Reneau Seed Co. in 1960. Their family moved to Shamrock in 1965. In 1996, she moved to Bedford for specialized care, moving to the Serenity Haven Personalized Care Home, also in Bedford, in 1999. She was very active in the Wheeler County communities until her health declined in 1984. She was an active member of the Methodist churches of the Heald, Lela and Shamrock communities. She served as a volunteer in many aspects of the Lela ISD and Shamrock ISD, active with 4-H and an adviser for Rainbow Girls as well. She was a past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. She served for the Selective Service in the Panhandle region during both terms of President Ronald Reagan. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Genora Reneau; her parents, Ora Mae Gibson Sanders and Elvis William Sanders; a sister, Margaret "Peggy" Hammond; and three brothers, Coronal Sanders, John Paul Sanders and Wayne Sanders. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Susan Reneau-Slusser of Arlington and Patricia Reneau Arnold of Lubbock; three grandchildren, Nickelaus Arnold, Andrew Arnold and Andrea Arnold, all of Lubbock; a sister, Penny Irwin of Oklahoma City; and two brothers, Bob Sanders of Longview and Jackie Sanders of McAlester, Okla. She was a 1938 graduate of Friona High School. She lived in Amarillo for two years and worked for Pantex. She married T.A. Williams on Feb. 10, 1946, in Friona. They lived in Abernathy until 1957 when they moved back to Friona. She worked as a clerk in the grocery store until her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 20, 1991; a son, Freddie Williams, who was killed in Vietnam, on Jan. 3, 1969; a twin brother, Nathaniel Taylor in 1944; and a brother, Clayton Taylor in 1994. She was a very accomplished artist and passed her talents of oil painting to many students in her home for more than 40 years. She had lived in Sanger for the past two and a half years. A private memorial service will be scheduled. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mrs. Judd was born Oct. 1, 1924, in San Angelo to A.C. and Alice Bledsoe. She graduated from San Angelo High School in 1941. She was a member of the Junior League. She was a bowler, water skier, golfer, and loved the outdoors. She also loved needlepointing and left many beautiful pieces which will be cherished by her family. She married Howard L. Judd on Aug. 12, 1976, in Las Vegas. They lived in Richardson and Plano for about eight years and then moved to Granbury for 17 years. They moved to Amarillo in 2001. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Her beautiful smile and loving heart were an inspiration to all. The family wishes to thank the CCU staff at BSA Hospital and very special thanks to everyone at BSA Hospice, also Dr. Russell Bacak and Dr. Ben Chavez. Mr. White, loving father, husband, and grandfather, was born Sept. 6, 1937, in Clarendon and graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.S. and M.S. in chemical engineering and completed his doctoral coursework at Texas A&M University. During his college years, he was a member of ATO fraternity. He was employed as a chemical and environmental engineer at the Bureau of Land Management Helium Operations and was a member of the Society of Professional Engineers. He was a leader of Boy Scout Troop 86 for several years and a member of the Pantex Plant Citizens Advisory Board. He was a faithful member of Polk Street United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday school for a number of years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank White III of Clarendon. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Presbyterian Church of Pampa with Dr. Ed Cooley officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Kuhn owned and operated, with partner Jim Nation, The Shamrock Products Co. in Pampa for 43 years. He was born Sept. 4, 1909, in Waynesburg, Pa. He moved to Pittsburg, Kan., at an early age, graduated from Pittsburg High School and Pittsburg College before attending the University of Missouri. During the Depression, in 1931, he and his partner moved to Amarillo where they managed service stations on Sixth Avenue and Washington Street before moving to Pampa in 1940. He married Lula Alexander in 1941 in Pampa. He served in the Army during World War II and was stationed in Biarritz, France. He was active in the Lions Club and served as a board member of the Pampa Industrial Foundation. He was active in First Presbyterian Church and served as a ruling elder. He was past president of Pampa Country Club. As a most genuine and respected man, he will be missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, William Nation Kuhn. Survivors include his wife; a son, John L. Kuhn and wife, Dedra, of Amarillo; a daughter in law, Lavona Kuhn, of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Carolyn Rene Kuhn of McKinleyville, Calif., Caroline Filas of Chicago, Christopher Pena of Austin and Blake Bailey of Amarillo; a great-granddaughter, Savannah Bailey of Amarillo; and a beagle named Jazz at Ware Memorial. Georgia St. Cindy was president and founder of "CONVERSATIONS" the International Ovarian Cancer Connection, a Not for Profit Corporation, with the mission to provide support for those fighting ovarian cancer with circulation of more than 4000 women, advocacy groups and health care providers in the USA and Canada and more than 40 foreign countries. She was also a founding board member and vice president of Ovarian Cancer National Alliance, based in Washington, D.C., and "Foremother" and founding member of National Ovarian Cancer Coalition and member of Allied Support Group Panel formed by Gynecologic Cancer Foundation and Society of Gynecologic Oncologist. She served on consumer and scientific panels for the Department of Defense, National Cancer Institute and California Research Panel. Cindy received several awards. She received the Public Service Award by the Gynecologic Organization and Society of Gynecologic Oncologist in March of 2002, the Cancer Volunteer of the Year 2000 award by "Coping" magazine, National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship and Catherine Logan Service to Survivorship 2003. She was the Community Hero to carry the Olympic torch in Fort Worth on May 21, 1996. Cindy created or participated in numerous research projects and has published many articles. She was a national speaker on ovarian cancer issues. During her 33-year career as a registered nurse, she was an assistant professor and worked in other numerous nursing fields. Cindy graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and received her master of nursing degree from Emory University. Cindy also held a commercial pilot's license and her favorite activity was scuba diving. Everyone attending the celebration is asked to wear red or other bright, glorious colors. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl F. Hills.
