Services will be at 10 a.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Davenport, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Union Grove Cemetery in Wills Point with the Rev. Bob Beck, retired minister, officiating. Local arrangements are by Wallace Funeral Home. Wills Point arrangements are by Fuller Funeral Home. Mrs. Beck was born Jan. 1, 1943, in Wills Point. She married Tommy Beck on Feb. 5, 1966. Survivors include her husband. Amarillo Globe-News, June 10, 2003 Kirby Christopher Johnson MORSE - Kirby Christopher Johnson, 20, died Friday, June 6, 2003, in Dallas. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Gruver High School football stadium with the Rev. Walter Greaser, the Rev. Billy Snider and the Rev. David Nuckles officiating. Burial will be in Lieb Cemetery, near Pringle, by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon, Okla. Mr. Johnson was born June 10, 1982, to Janice Kelly and Kenton Johnson, in Independence, Mo. Kirby attended Pringle-Morse and later Gruver High School. He graduated from Gruver with the class of 2001. He was a member of the National Champion 4-H Livestock Judging Team. At GHS, he was active in band, basketball and football. Kirby was honored as 2001 Greyhound co-captain, 1st team all-district defensive team and received the John Phillip Sousa Band Award. He had been attending Southwestern Assembly of God University in Waxahachie, where he was a defensive starter for the S.A.G.U. Lions. Kirby was a member of First Assembly of God in Spearman. The most important things to Kirby were living for Jesus, family, being with Amberlie and football. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, E.O. Kelly in 2001. Mr. Berryman had been a resident of Pampa for 45 years. He was a veteran of the Army, serving during the Korean conflict. Survivors include four brothers, M.J. Ms. Lindsey went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday. She was born March 24, 1938, in Logan, N.M. She was a home health care provider who touched the hearts and lives of many. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was a member of Believer's Way Church in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Abelina Chacon; and a granddaughter, Abilena West. Mr. Mills owned and operated Mills Machine Shop in Muleshoe for many years. He was a 1937 graduate of Randlett High School in Randlett, Okla. Amarillo Globe-News, June 10, 2003 Pedro "Pete" Rojas DALHART - Pedro "Pete" Rojas, 83, died Sunday, June 8, 2003, in Sunray. Prayer vigil will be at 7:30 p.m. today in St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Horizon Funeral Home. Mr. Rojas was born Jan. 10, 1920, in Divine, to Marcos and Maria Rodriguez Rojas. He was raised in Corpus Christi. Mr. Rojas was in the Army from 1943 to 1945 and served in Germany. He was injured in the Battle of the Bulge. After the war, he moved to the Panhandle area and ranched for a while before going to work for Rock Island Railroad, retiring in 1982. On April 13, 1965, he married Rosa Ramirez. Mr. Rojas was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. In 1991, he moved to Sunray and joined Christ the King Catholic Church in Sunray. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Trinidad Molina Rojas; two brothers; four sisters; and two daughters. Survivors include his wife; six sons, Pete Rojas Jr. of Fritch, Benito Rojas of Amarillo, Larry Rojas and Joe Mireles, both of Sunray, Ross Rojas of Panhandle and Richard Mireles of Kansas City, Kan.; seven daughters, Carmela Montoya of Pampa, Christine Watkins, Janie Garcia and Dora Griego, all of Dalhart, Anita Felker of Amarillo, and Petra Luera and Susan Kline, both of San Bernardino; two sisters, Mary Rojas of Dalhart and Lucy Romero of New York; two brothers, Santos Rojas and Pancho Rojas, both of Dalhart; 51 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Crawford was born Feb. 9, 1902, in Palestine, to John Henry and Bertie McAuthur Williams. She married Walter Roe Crawford at Palestine in 1921. She was a homemaker and a seamstress. She was a member of Canyon Mothers-In-Law Club. She was also a member of University Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1973. Survivors include two sons, Melvin P. Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Mr. Nickles was a retired Amarillo, Texas, businessman who had lived in Belton since retiring in 1987. Nickles was born May 31, 1921, in Abbeville. He married Alice Thornton in 1942. Nickles moved to Amarillo in 1950 and was general manager of Cal Farley's Boys Ranch until 1959. He was a building contractor until he and his sons purchased Amarillo Lumber Co. in 1973. He was a member of Khiva Temple Directors staff, a 50-year member of Clinton Masonic Lodge and a 32nd Degree Mason. He was also a veteran of World War II, serving in North Africa, Sicily, and Italy. He was a former charter member and deacon at Westminster Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1982; two brothers, William D. Nickles and Robert E. Nickles. Survivors include his wife, Jane Jordan; two sons, Alan D. Nickles and wife, Nancy, of Amarillo and David E. Nickles and wife, Dawn, of Denver; his granddaughters, Cindy Nickles, Courtney Nickles, Jaime Nickles Bentley, Emily Nickles Snyder and Abby Nickles of Amarillo, and Hayden J.
