Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church in Hedley with the Rev. Bryan Knowles, pastor of Community Fellowship Church in Clarendon, officiating. Burial will be in Rowe Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon. Mrs. Owens was born June 6, 1912, in Gainesville. She was a former resident of Hedley and Arlington. She had lived in the Mabank area for approximately a year. She married Michael Harris, who preceded her in death in 1975. She then married Otis Owens who preceded her in death in 1992. She never wavered in her love for God, her family and her friends. She had been a farmer and a homemaker. She was a member of Lamar Baptist Church in Arlington. She was preceded in death by her husbands; and a son, Bill Harris. Survivors include a son, Bart Harris of Trinidad; two daughters-in-law, Charlene Harris of Trinidad and Louise Harris of Arlington; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Adams was born Sept. 6, 1927, in Abilene, lived his early childhood in Hooks and moved to Amarillo when he was about 11 years old. He was a veteran who served in the Coast Guard in World War II, and worked in construction most of his life. He moved to Austin in 1971 and then to Spring in 1999. He has left many friends both young and old. A special thanks to The Woodlands Convalescent Center and American Hospice for their care and support.
