Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Mount Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. V.P. Perry, pastor, and the Rev. Joe Cofer officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St. Mr. Timmons was born Aug. 8, 1957, to Garnezar Timmons Sr. of Houston and Velma Timmons of Amarillo. He was raised and attended public school in Amarillo. Jimmy was in the Army from May 1983 to October 1994. After his military term, he accepted employment with J.B. Hunt as a truck driver and moved to the state of Georgia. He was employed with J.B. Hunt upon his demise. Survivors include his parents; a daughter, Kesha Cobb of Denver; two sons, Jimmy Timmons Jr. of Denver and Antoine Timmons of Seattle; five brothers, Garnezar Timmons Jr., Frederick Timmons and Gregory Timmons and wife, Pam, all of Amarillo, Don Timmons and wife, Vanessa, of Columbia, Md., and William Timmons of Little Elm; two sisters, Sheryl Parker and Rebecca Boyance and husband, Joseph, of Fort Worth; his fiancee, Annette Polote and daughter, Angele of Decatur; three grandchildren; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends. She married Andy Martin in Plainview on Dec. 20, 1941. They had been residents of Amarillo for 52 years. Survivors include her husband of 61 years; three sons, Stephen Martin, Brent Martin and Vince Martin, all of Amarillo; a daughter, Leslie Holmes of Amarillo; two sisters, Velma Webb and Betty Ann Bougher, both of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Mr. Blossom was born in California to Jim and Norma Blossom on June 19, 1944, and moved to Amarillo 56 years ago. He had worked as a prison guard in Dalhart and Amarillo. He was a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist. Survivors include two aunts, Evelyn DeRoule and Pat Kiihn, both of Amarillo; and three cousins, K. Lynn Kiihn of Amarillo, Kim Newman of Charleston, W.Va., and Kathy Malone of Lubbock. Amarillo Globe-News, June 12, 2003 Heron Garcia Sr. Heron Garcia Sr., 65, of Amarillo died Tuesday, June 10, 2003. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with Hector Gallegos, of St. Laurence Cathedral, officiating. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Laurence Cathedral with the Rev. Rafeal Garcia, of the church, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Garcia was born Dec. 1, 1937, to Erasmo and Maria Garcia in Rio Grande City. He attended public schools in Rio Grande and then joined the Army at age 17. He was stationed at Fort Bliss in Texas, Fort Lewis, Wash., and in Alaska. He moved to Amarillo in 1961. He met Diana Velasquez in Amarillo and they later married. Mr. Garcia worked at several different jobs including Minute Maid and General Motors in Anaheim, Calif. He also worked at Crowe-Gulde and Bell Helicopter in Amarillo and the Phillips 66 refinery in Borger where he was an operator for 30 years before becoming ill in 1998 and later retiring in June 2003. He was the perfect father and friend to many. He will be missed dearly by family and friends. He was a member of St. Laurence Cathedral. He was preceded in death by both his parents; and two brothers, Jose Angel Garcia of San Isidro and Hector Garcia of Rio Grande City. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Ana Lilia Dickerson and husband, Scott, of Fritch and Pauline Stone and husband, Ronnie, of Amarillo; four sons, Ramiro J. Garcia and wife, Leslie, Mario Garcia and wife, Monica, Heron Erasmo Garcia Jr. and wife, Francis, and Michael Anthony Garcia and wife, Michelle, all of Amarillo; two brothers, Felipe Garcia and Humberto Garcia, both of Rio Grande City; two sisters, Francis Venecia of Edinburg and Irma Balderas of Divine; 22 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
