Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Fairview Cemetery in Pampa with the Rev. Fred Palmer, pastor of Carpenter's Church in Pampa, officiating. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors. Mr. Maiden was a retired vinyl and upholstery repairman. He was born Nov. 3, 1931, in Erick, Okla., and had lived in Borger for 20 years. Survivors include two sisters, Joyce Gray of Pampa and Margaret VanHuss of Fort Worth. Amarillo Globe-News, June 18, 2003 Claudine Todd CLARENDON - Claudine Todd, 92, died Monday, June 16, 2003. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Robertson Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Steve Fulton, minister of Providence Baptist Church in Henderson, officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery. Mrs. Todd was born Jan. 24, 1911, in Comanche County to Mr. and Mrs. D.T. Smallwood. She moved with her family to the Brice Community in 1924. She graduated from Clarendon High School and Clarendon College. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from West Texas State University. She began her teaching career in Brice and taught there for four years. She married Bill Todd in 1935 and they both taught in Chamberlain for eight years. Mrs. Todd taught in Clarendon Elementary and Clarendon Junior High for 11 years. She then began teaching English at Clarendon High School. Her 41-year career left a rich heritage to the community of Clarendon. Her dedication to her profession and concern for young people touched many lives. She will be greatly missed by her former students and the entire community of Clarendon. Mrs. Todd was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Henderson. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1984. Survivors include two sisters, Frankie McAnear of Clarendon and Mamie Cross of Amarillo; four nephews, Ronnie McAnear and wife, Melinda, of Clarendon, Dwight McAnear and wife, Sharon, of Durango, Colo., Freddie McAnear and wife, Marsha, of Houston and Billy Cross and wife, Kathy, of Somerset; two nieces, Susan Robinson and husband, Jack, of Amarillo and Jeanie Echols and husband, Robert, of Albany; 12 great-nieces and nephews; and six great-great-nieces and nephews. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Bailey-Ware Funeral Home of McLean. Mr. Ware was born Jan. 19, 1927, in Fargo, Okla. He married Roberta Akin on June 18, 1949. "Tom" Riley Sr., 96, died Sunday, June 15, 2003, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Morrison Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel with Mike Smith, minister of Sixth and Meredith Church of Christ, and Dr. Ken Comer, grandson-in-law, officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Riley was born Nov. 13, 1906, in Ellis County. He was a Moore County resident since 1942, and moved to Amarillo in 2001 to the Continental Retirement Center. He married Zenobia Briggs on Jan. 22, 1933, in Roger Mills County, Okla. He was a member of Sixth and Meredith Church of Christ in Dumas. He worked for American Zinc until his retirement. After he retired, he worked for Dumas ISD. He was a member of Amarillo 45 and Uppers Dance Club. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1986; a son, W.T. "Dub" Riley Jr. in 2002; three brothers; and four sisters. Survivors include two sisters, Lois Thomas and Geraldine "Gerry" Saiz, both of Cheyenne, Okla.; a grandson, Jerry Riley and wife, Kristy, of Arvada, Colo.; a granddaughter, Terri Comer and husband, Ken, of Amarillo; a daughter-in-law, Joan Sibley of Amarillo; and five great-grandchildren, Shea Comer, Landon Comer, Ryan Comer, Stefanie Riley and Michael Riley. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Mrs. Foster was born Sept. 23, 1927, in Mart. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone after 43 years of service. After her retirement, she served as director for Make-A-Wish and for North Amarillo Children's Cottage. She was a volunteer for the Salvation Army, Mary Hazelrigg's Christmas Party and numerous other organizations. She was preceded in death by her mother, her father, and an infant sister. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Brooks Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Deckard, pastor of Westover Fellowship Church of Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Mrs. Davis was born March 18, 1906, in Allen to William and Nola Spurgeon Haley. She married Earnest T. Davis and they farmed and ranched in Silverton, Plainview and Texline for 50 years, 22 of those years in Texline. He preceded her in death and she moved to Canyon, where she lived for 21 years. She was very active in the Methodist Church and Eastern Star. She enjoyed china painting, playing bridge and traveling. She had lived at the Prairie House in La Pine near her sister for the last two years. She was loved by everyone she met, a true lady, very caring, generous and thoughtful, and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by two younger sisters, Weta Hill and Glenna Wilson-Garrison; and a younger brother, Bennett Haley. Survivors include a sister, Claudine Green of La Pine; her nieces and nephews, Brad Wilson of Costa Mesa, Calif., Robert Hill of Amarillo, Jack Green of La Pine, Susie Reed of Midland, Deanna Pipkin of Fresno, Calif., and Bill Haley of Van Alstyne; several great-nieces and nephews; and many loving friends.
