Services will be at 3 p.m. today in First Baptist Church of Groom with the Rev. David Kelly, pastor, officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Groom Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors. Mr. Snyder was born Dec. 4, 1912, in Stratford, Sherman County. He was a resident of Groom for most of his life before moving to Amarillo a year ago. He married Joy Loraine Gibbins on Jan. 10, 1942, in Claude. He had worked at the grain elevator and at the hardware store in Groom for most of his life before retirement. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was the recipient of five Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Groom. He was preceded in death by his wife on Jan. 16, 2003. Survivors include a daughter, Nina Richey and husband, Truman, of San Angelo; a son, Jerry Snyder and wife, Carolyn, of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Hallie Snyder of Austin, Kimberly Alexander of Dallas, Marc and Tonya Alexander of Amarillo, Sean and Leticia Richey of Carlsbad, and Cory and Jennifer Richey of San Angelo; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Jose Gomez officiating. Burial will be in Ochiltree Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Antunez worked in the oil fields for 26 years. He was a tool pusher for Key Energy for three years. Survivors include his wife, Amparo; a daughter, Blanca E. Ramirez of Perryton; four sons, Andy Antunez, Joe Antunez and David Antunez, all of Dallas, and Gilberto Antunez of Canyon; two brothers, Sevariano Antunez of Colorado and Gregorio Antunez of Mexico; three sisters, Rita Meraz of Canadian, Antonia Martinez of Colorado and Maria De La Luz Ramirez of Mexico; and two grandchildren.
