Rosary will be at 7 p.m. today in St. John's Catholic Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the church with the Rev. John Hickey, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hart Cemetery by Bartley-Silva Funeral Home of Plainview. Mrs. Carrasco was born Dec. 25, 1930, in Ojinaga, Chihuaua, Mexico. She married David Carrasco on Nov. 22, 1952, in Mexico. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Rosa C. Hernandez of Plainview and Maricela Carrasco of Amarillo; six sons, Ismael Carrasco, Demetrio Carrasco, Mario Carrasco, Adolfo Carrasco and Alejandro Carrasco, all of Hart, and David Carrasco Jr. of Amarillo; three sisters, Trine Garcia of Presidio, Guadalupe Soto of Ojinaga, Chih. and Goya Navarette of Hart; a brother, Manuel Porras of Ojinaga, Chih.; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Aug. 11, 2003 Yvette Victoria Perez Garcia SHAMROCK - Yvette Victoria Perez Garcia, 22, died Friday, Aug. 8, 2003. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Shamrock Cemetery with the Rev. Calvin Stalter, pastor of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Directors. Miss Garcia was born Sept. 16, 1980, in Shamrock. She had lived in Shamrock all of her life and attended school in Samnorwood. Survivors include a daughter, Danica Raye Garcia; a sister, Gabriella Garcia of Shamrock; two brothers, Albert Garcia and Mario Garcia, both of Shamrock; her mother and stepfather, Guadalupe Garcia and Phillip Gordon of Shamrock; and her grandparents, Adelina Garcia of Childress and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Garcia of Corpus Christi. Amarillo Globe-News, Aug. 11, 2003 Zona Ruth Cammack MATADOR --- Zona Ruth Cammack, 81, died Friday, Aug. 8, 2003. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in East Mound Cemetery by Seigler Funeral Home. Mrs. Cammack was born May 22, 1922, in Clarksville and was a resident of Matador from 1925 until moving to Lubbock in 1998. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bryan Cammack, in 1966. Survivors include four daughters, Stella Swim of Abilene, Mary Martin of Lubbock, Jackie Smith of Gruver and Etta Walker of DeLeon; a son, Charles Cammack of San Antonio; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Aug. 11, 2003 Amarillo W.C. "Bill" Harvey W.C. "Bill" Harvey, 86, of Amarillo died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Westminster Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Marty Loberg officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount. Mr. Harvey, son of the late Louis and Ora Harvey, was born Dec. 6, 1916, in Grandfield, Okla. He was a graduate of Grandfield High School. In high school, he was active in the agriculture program, Future Farmers of America and worked in the family farm implement business. He was a graduate of Cameron Junior College in Lawton, Okla. He attended Oklahoma A&M before entering the Army and serving more than four years during World War II. He returned to Grandfield from the Army and worked for an insurance agency before joining Fireman's Fund Insurance Co. in Amarillo as a special agent in the Crop Hail Division. He retired from Fireman's Fund Co. in 1980 after 30 years of service. He married Wanda Walker of Grandfield in 1952. He and Wanda had been active in Westminster Presbyterian Church since moving to Amarillo. He had served as elder and deacon in the Presbyterian church. The Harveys loved square dancing and were members of several square dancing clubs. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Orene who died as an infant, and Jessie Dee Greer of Grandfield. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Louis Harvey of Garland and Jeff Harvey of Aspermont; and two grandchildren, Billy Paul Harvey of Dallas and Jamie Lynn Harvey of Amarillo. Buford, 80, of Amarillo died Saturday, Aug 9, 2003. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Funeral Home, Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Dr. Murray Gossett, of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Buford was born Jan. 22, 1923, in Savoy. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1941 and attended business school. He married his wife of 56 years, Gertrude "Trudy" Gowdy, in Amarillo, on Dec. 28, 1946. He was the owner/operator of Phillips 66 Service Stations in Amarillo for 30 years. He retired from the Potter County Road and Bridge Department. He served in the Army from 1942 to 1946 and was a World War II veteran. He was a member of the San Jacinto Masonic Lodge and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nola Spooner Cline; and his stepfather, Dr. Gordon L. Cline. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Mark Buford and wife, D.K., of Brentwood, Tenn., and Bill Buford and wife, Jana, of Amarillo; a daughter, Sue C. Davis and husband, Billy G., of Amarillo; a sister, Edith B. Pierce of New Orleans; a brother, Gene Buford of Amarillo; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Aug. 11, 2003 Canyon Fred H. Richard Fred H. Richard, 90, of Canyon died Friday, Aug. 8, 2003. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Christian Church with the Rev. Debra Huffman, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors. Mr. Richard, loving husband and father, was born May 12, 1913, in Ellis County to Samuel and Sarah Beltz Richard. He married Elizabeth Rogers in Enid, Okla., in 1933. He owned and operated the Texaco gas station in Enid and then was a conductor for Santa Fe Railway from 1941 to 1978. He moved to Canyon from Canadian in 1955. He was a member of First Christian Church and a lifetime member of United Transportation Union. He loved his family, camping and fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife on May 12, 2003. Survivors include three daughters, Carol Kay Daniel of Irvine, Calif., Beverly Lewis of Collinsville and Pamela Riggins of Carrollton; two sons, Fred S. Richard and Sam A. Richard, both of Canyon; a sister, Viva Manuel of Enid; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
