Mrs. Bosnak was born Oct. 13, 1922, in Ravia, Okla. She had lived in Granbury for 20 years before moving to Dumas in 1999. She had last worked as a retail clerk at a grocery store. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Bosnak; a son, Don Bosnak; her mother and father; two brothers; a sister; and a nephew. Survivors include a sister, Bobbie Neugin and husband, Orvil, of Dumas; a brother, E.C. Price of Stinnett; special nephews, Johnny Dickinson and Matt Dickinson, both of Paint Rock, and Richard Dickinson and wife, Cathy, of Fort Worth; special nieces, Whitney Dickinson of Crowley, Sara Searcy of San Angelo and Becky Byrne of Las Vegas; her former daughter-in-law, Delores Miller of Seguin; two granddaughters, Kyme Moore and Cindy Post; and several other nieces and nephews who she loved very much. Amarillo Globe-News, Aug. 19, 2003 LeAnn Popwell WELLINGTON - LeAnn Popwell, 52, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, in Amarillo. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Addington, pastor, and the Rev. Derwin Comer, minister of youth and music at First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in North Fairview Cemetery by Adams Funeral Home. Mrs. Popwell was the former activity director for Wellington Care Center, and after training at AC she was the activity director of the care center's Alzheimer's Unit. She was born April 7, 1951, in Quanah to Maritta Ann Cummings and Norman Jones. She graduated from Quanah High School in 1968. She attended Altus School of Hair Design. She owned beauty shops in Quanah and Wellington. She received her LVN degree from AC and was an office nurse for Dr. Holcomb. She later served as a dispatcher/jailer at Collingsworth County Jail. She was a former Cub Scout, a member of the booster club, Band Boosters, B&PW Club, Order of the Eastern Star and the Simian Society. She was a former Red Cross Director and president of the advisory board of the Wellington Sheltered Workshop and a member of the United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Eddie; two sons, Shane Popwell and Heath Popwell, both of Wellington; her mother, Maritta Cummings and Brad Uttermark of Wellington; her father and stepmother, Normand and Christa Jones of Lake Way; three grandchildren, Shanee Popwell, Keath Popwell and Kaden Popwell, all of Wellington; and two monkeys, Marlee and Amee. Arrangements are by Myers-Long Funeral Directors. Mrs. Crass was born in Silverton on Nov. 7, 1909. She married Theron Thomas Crass on Sept. 4, 1934. Amarillo Globe-News, Aug. 19, 2003 Charles Joseph "C.J." Lance HOWARDWICK - Charles Joseph "C.J." Lance, 76, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, in Amarillo. Services will be at 4 p.m. today in Robertson Funeral Directors Chapel of Memories in Clarendon with the Rev. Bryan Knowles, pastor of Community Fellowship Church in Clarendon, officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery with military honors by Clarendon VFW No. 7782. Mr. Lance was born March 4, 1927, in Hereford where he resided most of his life. He was a resident of McLean for a short time before moving to Howardwick in 1986. He married Rethel LaVerne Griffin on Sept. 21, 1951, in Clovis, N.M. He had been a farmer most of his life before retiring. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of Somerfield Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife on June 21, 1998. Survivors include three sons, Danny Lance and wife, Tam, and Gary Herring, both of Amarillo, and Preston Jobe of Rogers; two sisters, Rosene Dawson of Hereford and Carolyn Ann Hayes of Dimmitt; two brothers, R.E. Lance and Jerry Don Lance, both of Hereford; four grandchildren, Jeremy Lance of Plainview, Julie Owen of Dallas, and Linsey Tee and Lisa Kracht, both of Amarillo; and three great-grandchildren, Rob Owen, Peyton Tee and Cayden Lance.
