Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens in Clovis with Pete Jaramillo officiating. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home. Mrs. Michelin was born Aug. 19, 1921, in Rochelle, Texas. She had lived in Torrance, Calif., and Clovis, before moving to Logan. Survivors include her husband, Jasper Anderson of Wyoming; a son, Larry L. Michelin of Cheyenne, Wyo.; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Melba Fickling of Weatherford, Texas. Services will be at 5 p.m. today in Dunn Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bob Miller, minister of South Georgia Baptist Church of Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be Tuesday in Calvary Cemetery in Douglas, Ariz. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home. Mr. Meadows was born Sept. 22, 1935, in Nogales, Ariz. He was a retied Southern Pacific Railroad Conductor. Mrs. Calderon was born Sept. 21, 1958, in San Benito. She was a homemaker and a member of San Jose Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Alberto; a daughter, Vanessa Calderon of Hereford; her mother, Florentina Ruiz of Hereford; three brothers, Carlos A. Bud Kidwell officiating. Burial will be in Goodlett Cemetery by Smith Funeral Home. Mr. Reeves was born Nov. 21, 1930, in Hardeman County. He married Juanita O'Daniel on Feb. 26, 1950, in Carey. Survivors include his wife; a son, Duane Reeves of Quanah; his mother, Ara Reeves of Quanah; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson. The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church. Amarillo Globe-News, Aug. 23, 2003 Elvin Eldridge Martin SPEARMAN - Elvin Eldridge Martin, 91, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Hansford Cemetery with Roger Morris and the Rev. Ken Cole officiating. Burial will be in Hansford Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Home. Mr. Martin was born April 28, 1912, to Clarence Martin and Meda Gore Martin in Old Hansford. Elvin's granddad Robert Eli Martin was one of the early sheriffs of Hansford County. Being the oldest son, he worked with his dad at an early age, at a livery stable at Old Hansford. When the railroad came through, the town was moved to Spearman. He helped move some of the buildings and helped brick main street. As a young man, he made trips to Colorado in wagons and by horseback. His family moved to Colorado when he was a young man. He met and married Mildred McCammond on June 6, 1931. They celebrated 60 years of marriage in June 1991. The love of his life died Aug. 8, 1991. Elvin's two children, Ray Martin and Charolette Ford were born in Las Animas, Colo. Elvin moved his family to Texas in 1947. He worked for several farmers and ranchers before he purchased a trucking firm. He hauled cattle many years for almost every old-timer or descendent in Hansford County and the surrounding areas. His words were always true to his actions. He was respected by others and he respected them. He traded his trucks for a travel trailer in the 1980s. He kept on traveling and fishing until his health declined. He was preceded in death by his wife; a son-in-law, Jerry Ford; and a brother, Clifford Martin. Survivors include a son, Ray Martin and wife, Judy, of Spearman; a daughter, Charolette Ford of Spearman; a sister, Yvetta McCammond of Spearman; two brothers, Robert Martin and Leroy Martin, both of Las Animas; five grandchildren, Rajan and Steve Trafton, Scott and Julie Martin, Mary Ann and Roger Morris, Tamala and Kent Benton and Kamala and Darren Goodheart; and 11 great-grandchildren, Jessica and Chance Trafton, Garrett, Stuart and Malory Martin, Chip and Reese Morris, Austin and Cody Benton, and Kenzee and Bray Goodheart. Amarillo Globe-News, Aug. 23, 2003 Melvin Davis LUBBOCK - Melvin Davis, 78, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003. Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Broadview Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Teal officiating. Burial was in Resthaven Memorial Park by Resthaven Funeral Home of Lubbock. Mr. Davis was born March 27, 1925, in Tulia. He married Lula Teal on June 25, 1952, in Clovis, N.M. He served his country in the Navy during World War II. He worked for Energas Co. for 35 years as a meter inspector. He lived in Floydada until 1986, when he moved to Lubbock. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Floydada. Survivors include his wife, Lou; a daughter, Nancy Jarnagin and husband, Joe, of Port Orchard, Wash.; a brother, Don Davis of Ingram; three grandchildren, Bryan, Jay and Cory Jarnagin, all of Port Orchard; and one great-grandchild, Brett Davis Jarnagin of Port Orchard. Hughes St. Mrs. Clayton was born in Caldwell. She was an Amarillo resident for more than 60 years. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star and Court of Calanthe. Survivors include two sons, Doyle Clayton and Clarence Clayton, both of Amarillo; two daughters, Barbara Ann Clayton of Sacremento, Calif., and Betty C. Tynes of Pomona, Calif.; several grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Services were at 3 p.m. Friday in Cox Funeral Home Benton Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive. Burial was in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Huber was born in Lubbock and moved to Amarillo in 1996 from Mississippi. He attended Coronado Elementary School, Stephen F. Austin Middle School and was currently a student at Tascosa High School. Survivors include his mother, Wendy Kindrick of Amarillo; his father Charles Huber of Blossom; two sisters, Karyn Lee Huber of Amarillo and Tammy Bevers of Dallas; and his grandparents, Coy Kindrick of Amarillo and Marion Walker of Wellington.
