Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in La Iglesia de San Jose with Monsignor Arturo Meza officiating. Mrs. Hernandez was born April 20, 1961, in Harlingen to Felipe T. Hernandez and Luz Palomino. She was married to Julian Murillo. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Fairview Cemetery with Paul Carruth, youth minister at First Christian Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Ayres graduated from Pampa High School in 1927 and served in the Navy Seabees in the South Pacific. He worked for Cabot Corp. in the gas department from 1928 until retiring in 1965. "Bill" Wiley, 78, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2003. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Kinder, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler. Mr. Wiley was born Aug. 31, 1924, in Wheeler to H.M. and Mary Kite Wiley. He graduated from Wheeler High School and attended Texas A&M University until he entered the service of the Navy. He served aboard the S.S. Lubbock in the South Pacific during World War II. He married Barbara Baker on Dec. 22, 1951, in Wichita, Kan. He moved to Miami in 1954 and became owner/manager of Consolidated Utilities Inc., until he retired in 1985. He loved to fly and enjoyed a host of friends among his fellow pilots. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, the American Legion and Masonic Lodge No. 805 in Miami. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Frances; three sisters and a brother. Survivors include his wife; a son, Richard Wiley of Miami; a grandson, James Wiley; a brother, Paul M. Wily of Austin; two sisters, Marthalys Hutchins of Dallas and Celeste Wiley of Wheeler; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Sanders was born, reared and attended school in Childress. She lived in Amarillo for most of her life except for 10 years in Pensacola, Fla. She worked as a registered nurse at St. Anthony's Hospital before her retirement in 1988. She enjoyed working in her yard, growing roses and other flowers, sewing and quilting. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. She married Edward Michie in Childress. She later divorced and remarried Billy J. Sanders of Pensacola. She was always doing nice things for other people and was loved by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Don Michie in 1998; and two sisters, Eva McDearmon in 2000 and Winnie Cherry in 2001. Survivors include a grandson, Johnny Don Michie and wife, Vickie, of Amarillo; a granddaughter, Barbara Ann Michie of Amarillo; a daughter-in-law, Fidela Michie of Amarillo; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Ms. Earl was born June 1, 1934, in Tampa, Fla. She grew up all over the world as a child of a Naval officer. She later married into the military and supported the military, especially West Point, all her life. One of her greatest joys was supporting her grandson, Joseph, while he was a cadet at West Point, and later as an officer serving in Iraq. She worked many jobs in her life, but retired from Basden Bail Bonds. She was preceded in death by her mother in 1999; her father in 1987; and a brother in 1990. Survivors include a daughter, Barbi Shelton of Amarillo; a grandson and granddaughter, 1st Lt. Joseph Marcee and 2nd Lt. Hilary Marcee, both of Fort Hood; grandchildren, Emily and Alex Shelton of Amarillo; sisters, Sue Anderson and Pat Dameron of Wiley; and a brother, Farrell Byrd of Greenwood, Fla. Mr. Cain had ranched in the Amistad area since 1949 and served a number of years on the school board in Clayton and Amistad.
