"Bake" Baker PAMPA - R.A. "Bake" Baker, 97, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003. Private graveside services will be at Fairview Cemetery with Dr. Edwin Cooley, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Baker was born Oct. 20, 1905, in Amarillo. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1927, and was a member of Association of Former Students. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1935. He married Velma Brecheen on April 7, 1934, in Amarillo. He was a vice-president of Cabot Corp. in Pampa, retiring after 29 years of service. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his wife on July 17, 1980. Survivors include a daughter, Kay House of Carmel, Calif.; a son, Jay Baker of California; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Baker of California; four grandsons, Brad Dick of Rome, Italy, Evan Dick of California, Christopher Baker of Colorado and Tom Morris of New Mexico; a granddaughter, Melinda Ryan of Colorado; and six great-grandchildren. He moved to Hereford in 1958 and farmed until his retirement. Mr. McFarlin graduated from Dumas High School in 1966, and from West Texas State University in 1970. He was born May 25, 1948. He taught school at Horace Mann Junior High School in Amarillo. He later became affiliated with United and Lowe's grocery stores. He was preceded in death by his father; his mother; a niece; and a nephew. Mrs. Teddlie was born and raised in Stephenville. She married Jack Teddlie in 1925 in Stephenville. She lived in Stephenville for many years and was a member of First Baptist Church as well as a homemaker. She and her husband lived in Lubbock from 1959 until 1970. She moved to Amarillo in 1992. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1971. Survivors include a daughter, Dottie Austin of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Jim Austin, Steve Austin and Stan Austin, all of Amarillo, and Melinda Ewing of Lubbock; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-granddaughters. The family moved to Pampa in 1926 from Slick, Okla. She graduated from Pampa High School. She married John W. Lee. She worked for a number of years for Wilson and Foster Drug Stores, and was also a receptionist for doctors Overton, House and Ashby for a number of years. Reading was her passion. Survivors include a sister, Wadean Stone; and a number of nieces and nephews who adored her, Don Nicholson, Rusty Nicholson, Dave Nicholson, Sandra Carson, Jim Thomas and Judy Lewis. Mr. Lopez had lived in Amarillo for 45 years. He retired from the Atomic Energy Commission after 27 years. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, and served as a Marine during World War II. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Lawrence; a sister, Juanita Montoya; a brother, Tony Lopez; and his parents, Antonio and Gregoria Lopez. Survivors include his wife, Zita; a son, Gilbert Lopez and wife, Margaret, of Balch Springs; a daughter, Zita Evans and husband, Ronald, of Amarillo; a brother, Tommy Lopez of Seligman, Ariz.; three sisters, Lucy Garcia of Lakewood, Calif., Cecelia Duran of Barstow, Calif., and Henriqueta Martinez of Seligman, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Higginbotham Funeral Home in Rising Star. Burial will be in Cisco Cemetery in Cisco. Local arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mrs. Robinson was born and raised in Rising Star. She was a graduate of Rising Star High School and Ogle School of Beauty in Fort Worth. She married Aaron Robinson in Brownwood on Sept. 2, 1943. Mrs. Robinson lived in Waco for 12 years before moving to Amarillo in July. She was an avid bridge player and earned the rank of life master. She played tournament bridge traveling all over the United States as well as Australia, Mexico and New Zealand. She was also an avid golfer. Mrs. Robinson was a member of the Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1960; and a niece, Dorothy Marshall, who she raised and was like a mother to. Survivors include a stepdaughter, Virginia Wheeler of San Antonio; and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved and they loved her very much. Mr. Romero was born and raised in Santa Rosa, N.M. He moved to Amarillo from Santa Rosa in 1952. He was a contractor for many years. Mr. Romero was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Romero in 1992. Survivors include a daughter, Angie Romero of Amarillo; two sons, Mike Romero of Dallas and Charlie Romero of Amarillo; three brothers, Margarito Romero of Amarillo, Alfred Romero of Santa Rosa and Jose Romero of Phoenix; two sisters, Carmen Baca and Maria Palama, both of Albuquerque, N.M.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with Harold James and Trevor Bulls officiating. Burial will be in Boise City Cemetery by Cimarron Mortuary. Mrs. Wright was born Feb. 26, 1914, to Troy and Mary (Golden) Green. She married Ray Oran Wright on Jan. 30, 1936, in Wheeler, Texas. Survivors include a son, Troy Oran Wright of Boise City; six daughters, Betty Henshaw and Doris Wardlaw, both of Boise City, Pat Hale of Lubbock, Texas, Nadine Fry of Bolivar, Mo., Yvonne Parker of Corpus Christi and Fayrene Sweek of Frisco, Texas; three sisters, Aline Miller and Fay Doris Weaver, both of Oklahoma City, and Jewell of Chickasha; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Radcliff was born Nov. 4, 1917, in Beaver County. She retired from Forgan schools as the head cook.
