Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church of Texline with the Rev. Billy Rammage, pastor of First Baptist Church in Clayton, N.M., officiating. Burial will be in Texline Cemetery by Horizon Funeral Home. Mrs. Wiebe was born Oct. 18, 1911, in Henderson, Neb., to Gerhard and Katherina Epp Friesen. On April 18, 1933, she married Alvin H. Wiebe in Benkelman, Neb. Survivors include a daughter, Norma Claborn of Dalhart; two sons, Dale Wiebe of Amarillo and Carl Wiebe of Dalhart; two sisters, Lavina Brixus of Dallas, Ore., and Alma Hoffman of Grant, Neb.; a brother, Howard Friesen of Dallas, Ore.; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was manager of a motel in Borger. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 5, 2003 Amarillo Roy Lee Sims Roy Lee Sims, 49, of Amarillo died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003. Mr. Sims was born Aug. 8, 1954, in Tulia to Albert Ray and Beulah May Ringo Sims. He was an Army veteran and a heavy equipment mechanic. He married Pam Franklin on Nov. 21, 1992, in Amarillo. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jared Sims and Justin Sims, both of Amarillo; his parents of Stratford; two brothers, Jimmy Sims of Amarillo and Larry Sims of Stratford; two sisters, Alice King of Granbury and Mary Gifford of Savannah, Ga.; and a grandson, Justin Sean Sims of Stratford. Graveside services willl be at 3 p.m. in Citizen's Cemetery in Clarendon. Mr. Pierce was born in Donley County and had been a resident of Amarillo for more than 50 years. He worked in maintenance for ASARCO for many years before his retirement. He had served with the National Guard and was a Baptist. He was a lover of bluegrass music and was a member of the Panhandle Bluegrass Association. He enjoyed his family life and spending time with his friends at the barber shop and the flea market. He married Betty Stanley in October 1984 in Clovis, N.M. He was preceded in death by his wife on June 2, 1994; a son, Kenneth Stanley in 1987; and two brothers, Fred Pierce and Carl Ray Pierce. Survivors include five sons, Michael Pierce and wife, Sammie, Kerry Pierce and wife, Cheryl, and Johnny Stanley and wife, Ruth, all of Amarillo, Jerry Stanley and wife, Tonya, of Edmond, Okla., and William Stanley of Rio Rancho, N.M.; three daughters, Karla Hill and husband, Tony, Melissa Willburn and husband, Frank, and Pam White and husband, Frank, all of Amarillo; a sister, Jewel Hefner of Amarillo; a brother, Norman Pierce of Amarillo; 23 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. Mr. Gutierrez was born Oct. 22, 1960, in Scottsbluff to Pablo Sr. and Josephine Gonzales Gutierrez. He married Cindy Brown on Feb. 3, 1984, in Scottsbluff. Private family burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Jupe graduated from Goodland High School in Kansas. She married John W. Jupe in Goodland on Sept. 11, 1935. She was the founder of St. Anthony's Auxiliary. She loved to play bridge, sew and travel, especially to Las Vegas. She loved her grandchildren and they referred to her as "Nana." She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a resident of Crestview for 2 years and loved the residents living there. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Survivors include a daughter, Janice Poirot and husband, Jerry, of Amarillo; grandchildren, Julie and Mike Permenter of Amarillo, Judy and Tom Swanson of Racine, Wis., and Janet and Kevin Brown of Amarillo; 12 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Hobgood married Paul Hobgood on Feb. 18, 1945, in Boise City, Okla. She was an executive secretary to Anne Wagner of Wagner Land and Cattle Co. of Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years in July 2002. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Kneale was born March 29, 1917, in Oakland, Neb. She married Curt Kneale on Sept. 21, 1947. She had lived in Amarillo for 48 years before moving to Austin three years ago to live with her daughter. While living in Amarillo, she worked for Hub Clothiers as a buyer and in sales. She was a longtime member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, being active in the Sunday school department. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Piedfort and husband, Pascual, of Austin and Patti Couch and husband, James, of Appleton, Wis.; a son, Tim Kneale and wife, Suzanne, of Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, Winston Hultquist of Omaha, Neb.; and seven grandchildren, Erica, J.C., Neil, Hilan, Julie, Tori and Whitney. Mr. Werner was born Aug. 31, 1956, in Guymon to Don and Fleta Werner. He enjoyed watching all sporting events and participating in the Special Olympics.
