Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Williams was born Jan. 23, 1930, to Samuel and Docie Carter. She graduated from business school in Monroe and worked for 37 years at Great Southern Life Insurance Co. in Houston until her retirement. She married Rex B. Williams of Amarillo in 1959 in Roseburg. She and her husband had farming and investment property in Amarillo. She moved back to West Monroe in 1999 to be near family. She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 12, 1997; her parents; a sister; and a brother. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Ruth Wagner of Amarillo; a brother-in-law, Ray Williams of Tempe, Ariz.; two sisters, Lois Crain and Lillian Calhoun, both of West Monroe; her nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. The family suggests memorials be to American Cancer Society, or Alzheimer's Association. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 17, 2003 John Snead Billups John Snead Billups, 77, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003. Services will be at noon Saturday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with Dr. Jim Smith, pastor of St. Stephen United Methodist Church, and the Rev. Rusty Sieck, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Billups was raised in Rockwall. He served in the Navy during World War II in the Pacific as a petty officer third class. After graduating from Texas A&M University in 1950, he moved to Amarillo, where he was employed by International Harvester. He married Phyllis Herrington in 1954. He then worked for Nunn Electric for the next 27 years, retiring in 1986. John was a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church, where he loved to worship and volunteer. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Molli Elizabeth Maynard and Pat Billups, both of Amarillo; a son-in-law, Don Maynard of Amarillo; a grandson, Jeff Maynard and wife, Tiffini, of Amarillo; and three great-grandsons, Rhett Maynard, Jake Maynard and Will Maynard, all of Amarillo. The family suggests memorials be to St. Stephen United Methodist Church, west campus building fund, 4600 S. Western St., Amarillo, TX 79106. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Thacker Haynes officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery by Bailey-Ware Funeral Home. Mrs. Guill graduated from McLean High School in 1945. She was a member of the Methodist church in Clarendon. Survivors include a brother, Joe Glass of McLean; five nieces and nephews; and eight great-nieces and great-nephews. The family suggests memorials be to David Guill Scholarship Fund at Clarendon College or BSA Hospice of Pampa. Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John Bethard of the church and the Rev. Darrell Wait of First Christian Church of Dumas officiating. Burial was in West Park Cemetery by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home. Mr. Williamson was born June 27, 1910, in Drummond, Okla. He married Mary E. Ruffe on April 11, 1948, in Grand Rapids, Mich. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Joel Williamson of Dumas and Kim Williamson of Longview; a daughter, Lisa Jackson of Dumas; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Burial will be at 4:30 p.m. today in Littlefield Memorial Park Cemetery in Littlefield by Gililland-Watson Funeral Home. Mrs. Wade was born Sept. 4, 1929, in Wingate. She married Pervadus Wade on Oct. 15, 1949, in Whitharral. Survivors include her mother, Willie Buford of Hereford; her husband; a daughter, Claudia Ivey of Denver; two sons, Gordon Wade of Midland and Russell Wade of Dalhart; a brother, Tom Rosson of Hereford; two sisters, Della Hutto of Hereford and Sylvia McCaffery of St. Petersburg, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. "Bud" Strong, 73, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2003. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Beaver First Christian Church with Bob Blazek and Ron Pope officiating. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery by Clark Funeral Service. Mr. Strong was born May 26, 1930. He was a plumber and attended the Christian church. Survivors include a son, Eugene Gilbert Warner of Pawhuska; two daughters, Terry Keeth of Liberal, Kan., and Carolyn Faye Strong of Beaver; a sister, Carolyn Pope of Woodward; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Dorman Funeral Home of Orange. Mr. Ledford was born Aug. 17, 1957, in Topeka, Kan. He had been a resident of Pampa from 1967 until 2000. Survivors include his wife, Mashelle; a son, Spc. Sam Ledford, serving with the Army in Iraq; a daughter, Rachel Ledford of Bethany, Okla.; a stepdaughter, Whitney Shattuck of Deweyville; his parents, Wayne and Betty Ledford of Pampa; two brothers, Tony Ledford of Pampa and Ronnie Ledford of Jennings, La.; two sisters, Wanda Videon and Eva Nolan, both of Pampa; and two granddaughters.
