Services will be at 11 a.m. today in St. Stephen United Methodist Church with Dr. Jim Smith, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mr. Reynolds was born and raised in Amarillo and had lived here all of his life. He was a 1972 graduate of Canyon High School. He married Lora Asher in 1977 in Amarillo. He worked for Owens Corning as a mechanic for 20 years and had worked for Amaregal (Burger King) where he took care of the Burger King Restaurant buildings in Amarillo for the past three years. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Ashlie Reynolds of Amarillo; his parents, James and Mary Reynolds of Amarillo; his grandmother, Lela Hardy of Amarillo; a brother-in-law, Alan Asher and wife, Laryssa, of Iowa; three sisters-in-law, Patricia Blewett and husband, Herschel, of Roswell, N.M., Carol Sherrer and husband, Edward, of Virginia and Sandra Asher of Houston; and a father-in-law, Thomas Asher and wife, Jo, of LaPorte. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 20, 2003 Oklahoma J.P. Bussell RINGWOOD, Okla. - J.P. Bussell, 80, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Ringwood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Terrell Parvin officiating. Burial will be in Ames Cemetery by Lanman Funeral Home, Inc. of Helena. Mr. Bussell was born in Canadian, Texas, on May 2, 1923. He served in the Navy during World War II and on Guam. Survivors include his wife, Lois; a daughter, Elaine Nelson of Meno; two sons, Larry Bussell of Stinnett, Texas, and Steve Bussell of Ames; a sister, Fannye George of Canadian; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Ringwood United Methodist Church or to a charity of choice in care of the funeral home. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 20, 2003 New Mexico Joseph Archie CLOVIS, N.M. - Joseph Archie, 87, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Church of God in Christ with W. Charles Green, bishop, officiating. Burial will be in Mission Garden of Memories by Muffley Funeral Home, Inc. Mr. Archie was born June 9, 1916, in Limestone, Texas. He came to Clovis in 1940. Survivors include his wife, Minnie; two sons, Johnny Archie and Scott Foster Archie, both of Clovis; four daughters, Hennritta Archie-Pop and Hester England, both of Clovis, Darnell Doyle of Fort Walton, Fla., and Wanda White of Dallas; two brothers, E.J. Archie of Houston and Babe Ruth Archie of Odessa, Texas; three sisters, Idena Miller and Edna Fields, both of Odessa, and Inez Weiss of Dallas; 26 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Chapel with the Rev. Terry Martin officiating. Mrs. Walls was born Feb. 19, 1922, in Clovis. She married Kent Aaros Walls on March 8, 1938. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Sondra Walker of Clovis; a son, Gary Walls of Granbury, Texas; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the Lung Association, 61 Broadway, Sixth Floor, New York, NY 10006. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 20, 2003 Pauline Chitty SILVERTON - Pauline Chitty, 87, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jess Little, of Claude, and the Rev. Randy Mullins, of Farwell, officiating. Burial will be in Silverton Cemetery by Wallace Funeral Home of Tulia. Mrs. Chitty was born Nov. 26, 1915, in Munday. She moved to Silverton at an early age and graduated from Silverton High School. She married Orville Beason "Pete" Chitty on Dec. 6, 1933, in Silverton. He died March 15, 1994, in Silverton. She worked as a program assistant for the USDA for 25 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Silverton Senior Citizens. Survivors include two daughters, La Quetta Schott and husband, John, of Silverton and Joy Guest and husband, Dick, of Lubbock; a son, Troy Chitty and wife, Vicky, of Sealy; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. Viewing will be until the time of service at the church. The family suggests memorials be to the Silverton Volunteer Ambulance Service. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 20, 2003 James Covey PLAINVIEW - James Covey, 85, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with Joe Wilson, elder of Canyon Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Plainview Memorial Park in Plainview. Mr. Covey served in the Army during World War II. He married Jean Elizabeth Dresser in August 1942. She died in 1992. He moved to Plainview in 1954. He and his brother operated Covey's Garage in Plainview for many years. He was an active member of the Evening Lions Club of Plainview. Survivors include three sons, James Covey Jr. of Las Vegas, Wayne Covey of Amarillo and Gary Covey of Redlands, Calif.; a sister, Lucille Motsenbocker of Wellington; four brothers, A.W. Covey of Sweetwater, R.A. Covey Jr. of Amarillo, Fred Covey of Wellington and Jack Covey of Torrance, Calif.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Grandview Cemetery of Kaw City, Okla. Mrs. Rennie was born Feb. 3, 1938, in Ponca City, Okla. She had been a resident of Groom since 1989. Survivors include her husband, Charles; two daughters, Jody Richardson of Groom and Kelly Packard of White Deer; a son, Jack Todd Freeman of Glen Rose; a stepdaughter, Melissa Heaton of Alva, Okla.; two stepsons, Mark Rennie and Marty Rennie, both of Alva; 11 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
