Glenn Richerson, 82, died Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, in Amarillo. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Todd Dyess of Hobbs, N.M., and the Rev. Terry Lowe, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon. Mr. Richerson was born Sept. 4, 1920, in Hedley. He graduated from Hedley High School and served with the Navy during World War II in Guadalcanal, Bougainville, Guam and New Zealand. He married Eva Mae Holcomb on Nov. 15, 1942. For 45 years they owned and operated Richerson Funeral Home in Shamrock, retiring in 1991. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, and was a past president of Shamrock Chamber of Commerce and Shamrock School Board. He had served as chairman of St. Patrick's Day Association and was on the Shamrock Hospital Board at the time of his death. He was a member of Masonic Lodge, Lions Club, Boosters Club and Shamrock Sheriff's Posse. He had received his 50-year pin for service to the funeral profession from the State of Texas. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark in 1988. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Toni Gail Richerson of Richmond; an "adopted" daughter, Silvana "Bunny" Bianco Mannarini of Milan, Italy; two sisters, Loyd Richerson and Dorothy Richerson, both of Odessa; 10 nieces; and 13 nephews. Marcos was born July 25, 2003, in Clovis. She was a retired nurse's aide and a waitress. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with Bill Baker, minister of First Christian Church, and John Carson, elder, officiating. Burial will be in North Fairview Cemetery by Adams Funeral Home. Mr. Morris was born Oct. 16, 1932, in Wellington to J.D. Morris and Marie Knight Morris. He married Martha Johnson on March 19, 1958, in Wellington. He was a member of First Christian Church. He was an avid sports fan and a lifetime supporter of Quail and Wellington athletic programs. He graduated from Quail High School in 1950. He served in the Army Rangers during the Korean conflict. He had served several terms on the Wellington School Board, Wellington Farmers Co-op Gin Board and was a former officer and director of Collingsworth County Farm Bureau. He was a master Mason, member of Wellington Masonic Lodge and a charter member of Wellington Country Club. Survivors include his wife; a son, Dannie Morris and wife, Terri, of Wellington; two daughters, Jeanne Taylor and husband, Carl, of Wellington and Sandy Self and husband, George, of Throckmorton; two brothers, Dale Morris of Canadian and Don Morris of Stephenville; a sister, Sonia White of Wellington; seven grandchildren, Shay Morris, Hayden Morris, Abby Morris, Colby Taylor and Layne Taylor, all of Wellington, and Heather Self and Ty Self, both of Throckmorton. She spent her childhood in the Sweetwater and Meridian, Okla., areas. She married Carroll Don Son on Nov. 12, 1955. He preceded her in death on Nov. 27, 1959, in Muskogee, Okla. She then moved to Borger, where she was a beautician until 1980. She had been a resident of Pampa for the past 23 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, B.F. Woods, in 1996. Survivors include two brothers, Dudley Miller and Domer Miller; a daughter, Karen Son of Pampa; a son, James Son and wife, Susan, of Amarillo; three granddaughters, Atlanta, Haley and Heather; a grandson, Christopher; and two great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Groom Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Amarillo, Texas, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Chance was born Sept. 1, 1985, in Grand Junction. He moved to Lubbock, Texas, in the summer of 1996 and to Englewood in the summer of 1999. He graduated in May 2003 from Cherry Creek High School in Denver. Chance was very athletic; he was a gymnast for eight years. He enjoyed wrestling, and most recently had taken up snowboarding. He was employed by Swiss Automotive in Englewood. What he loved doing most was spending time with his friends. Survivors include his mother, Marla Overstreet; his father, Gare Overstreet of Denver; a sister, Cayce Overstreet of Cedar City, Utah; his grandmothers, Frances Overstreet of Amarillo and Juandell Ritter of Groom; and his aunts, uncles and cousins.
