Henderson, 85, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Lee, pastor, and the Rev. Joe G. Jernigan, pastor of Calvary Christian Fellowship, officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Mr. Henderson was born May 26, 1918, to J.W. "Bud" and Nora Bruton Henderson. He lived and farmed in the Twitty community all of his life. He served on the board of directors of Greenbelt Electric Cooperative for 38 years. He was a member of Twitty Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ama Lee; a son, Arlen Henderson; two brothers; and five sisters. Survivors include a daughter, Pam Cantrell and husband, Ron, of Los Banos, Philippines; a grandson, Brent Spraggins and wife, Sharon, of Austin; a granddaughter, Jennifer Trahan and husband, Tim, of New Iberia, La.; two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Austin Trahan; two brothers, C.B. "Joe" Henderson of Wheeler and Ernest Henderson of Shamrock; two sisters, Billie Jean Wisenbaker of Mesquite and Mildred Gierhart of Shamrock; four stepgrandchildren, Jimmy Brandon, Barbara Brandon, Charles Cantrell and Melissa Santa Crus; four step great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, other family members and friends. Alvin Petty, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Friona, officiating. Mr. White was a Friona resident for the past 40 years. He was a retired manager of a grocery store. Mrs. Robertson was born Dec. 8, 1932, in Chillicothe, the daughter of Vernon and Hattie Daniels. She married Ray Robertson on Dec. 24, 1949, in Clovis, N.M. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Dimmitt. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 30, 2003 Amarillo Don Houser Don Houser, 56, of Amarillo died Monday, Oct. 27, 2003. Private family services will be held by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Houser was born Oct. 22, 1947, in Campo, Colo. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the Army. Survivors include two sons, Zeke Houser and wife, Patrice, of Albuquerque, N.M., and Josh Houser and wife, Jennifer, of Amarillo; and four grandchildren, Browning, Brayleigh, Brock and Keevin. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 30, 2003 C.L. Duniven Jr. C.L. Duniven Jr., 90, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with Dr. Charles Jones, pastor of Second Baptist Church, and Monsignor Joseph Tash, pastor of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, officiating. Private entombment will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Duniven "Dunny" graduated from Amarillo High School in 1930, where he was a 117-pound star halfback. He went to Texas Tech in 1931 and played quarterback and returned kickoffs. He played on Texas Tech's first golf and tennis teams in 1931. Dunny won the Amarillo Golf and Tennis City Championships and was one pin short of the city bowling championship. He was a generous man to the community and the athletes of the Panhandle of Texas, including his creation of the C.L. Duniven Super Team Award. He was a man who took calculated risks in business and investments. On golf courses from Hawaii to the east coast of the United States and south to Mexico, he became best known as an outstanding amateur golfer, winning the Trans-Mississippi Senior Golf Tournament in 1965, and at age 54, won the International Senior Golf Tournament in Mexico City in 1966. Over the years, he conquered every local golf tournament in the Texas Panhandle. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Howard. Survivors include his wife, Karolina; two daughters, Linda Pelton and husband, Gordon, and ViAnna LaRue; a sister, Nancy Butler; a brother, Neal Duniven; his grandchildren, Lane Howard and wife, Kristi, BriAnna Pelton and Garrett Pelton; and two great-grandchildren. She lived in Amarillo most of her life. She was a legal secretary for Underwood Law Firm for many years. She was also active with her husband in the family business, Amarillo Ice Display. She was a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter. "Sonny" Morgan, 73, of Amarillo died Monday, Oct. 27, 2003. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Westover Fellowship Church with Kevin Decker, pastor, officiating. Mr. Morgan was born and raised in Childress and was a graduate of Childress High School. He married Betty Jo Howard in 1950 in Childress. He had been a resident of Amarillo for many years. He was an estimator and vice-president of Howard Mechanical for 25 years. He was also an estimator for C&E Mechanical for several years before retirement. Mr. Morgan was a member of Knights of Pythius and Canyon Country Club. He was a member of Will Rogers Range Riders, where he served on the board of directors as secretary for many years. He was a member of Westover Fellowship Church. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 30, 2003 Elsewhere Glenna Suzette Creel FRANKSTON - Glenna Suzette Creel, 52, died Monday, Oct. 27, 2003. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Farmer officiating. Burial will be in Frankston City Cemetery. Mrs. Creel's journey here on earth ended Monday after a 25-year long battle with cancer. She had a gentle spirit, was patient, loving and loyal. She was blessed with many friends and family who will remember her always. Everyone who knew Sue loved her. She was born in Clayton, N.M., on Aug. 16, 1951. She went to Dalhart High School and Frank Phillips Junior College, where she received her LVN nursing license. She was a dedicated nurse who worked at Coon Memorial Hospital in Dalhart. In her later years she was a homemaker. She had a fun-loving spirit and loved being with friends and family. She loved playing with her grandchildren, reading the Bible and going places with her husband. She was a dedicated Christian woman. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her father, Calvin Glen Crowell. Survivors include her husband, Bobby; her mother, Betty Crowell of Dalhart; two sons, James Shawn Poyner and wife, Amanda, and Michael Chad Poyner and wife, Teresa, all of Tyler; four sisters, Karen O'Hara and husband, Denny, of Amarillo, Mickie Hunter and husband, Jerry, and Debbie Dailey and husband, Tim, all of Dalhart, and Jill Mathews of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Tyson Poyner, Ashlynn Poyner, Colton Poyner, Kaelan Poyner, Madalynn Poyner, Bailey Poyner, Jessica Poyner, Hagen Poyner and Taylor Poyner; and many special friends and relatives. Private family services will be by Ellis Funeral Home of Muleshoe, Texas. Mrs. Musick was a member of New Life Christian Fellowship Church in Titusville where she was very active. She graduated from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Ark., in 1981, with a BA in sociology. She worked as a registered nurse. She had been a resident of Titusville since November 2001, moving from Jacksonville, Fla. She married James Musick in 1988 in California. Survivors include her husband; her parents, Louis and Jane Reeder of Muleshoe; three brothers, Randy Reeder of Guymon, Okla., David Reeder of Dallas and Mark Reeder of Muleshoe; four nephews; and a niece. Mrs. Blaine was a retired teacher who had taught for more than 40 years. She earned a master's degree in geography and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Dumas, Texas. She married Santiago Flores on Feb. 13, 1956, in Namiquipa, Chihuahua.
