Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Andrew's Children's Chapel with the Rev. John Watson, rector of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, officiating. Private family burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Mullins was born in Westernport, Md. She graduated with an RN in nursing and was a pediatric nurse at Baltimore City Hospital. She came to Amarillo with her husband, Dr. William B. Mullins, and children in 1947 from Shawnee, Okla. Dr. Mullins was a pediatrician, retiring after 50 years of practice. Mrs. Mullins was a member of Potter/Randall County Medical Alliance, Junior Antique Club and St. Andrew's Espicopal Church, where she was an honorary member of St. Andrew's Altar Guild. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1995. Survivors include a daughter, Kay Mullins Davis of Austin; two sons, Dr. Michael Mullins of Franklin, Tenn., and Patrick Mullins of Jamestown, N.C.; seven grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a nephew; and two nieces. Clark, 82, of Amarillo died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with the Rev. David Floyd-Harp of First United Methodist Church of Alpine officiating. Mr. Clark was born Dec. 21, 1920, in Graham County, Kan. He attended school in Salina, Kan., graduating in 1938. He attended the University of Wyoming before serving in the Army from 1942 to 1945. He was in five battle campaigns and was awarded the Bronze Star. After leaving the Army, he attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., and played professional piano in the Loop in Chicago. He married Joyce Simpson in 1965 in Kirkland, Ill. He was in the retail piano and organ business for 20 years, owned restaurants and managed country clubs in the Panhandle. He was also a fine pianist and played for dances throughout the Panhandle, as well as furnishing entertainment in his own establishments. His retirement job was piano tuning, which he did throughout the Panhandle and Eastern New Mexico. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie, in 1990; a sister, Evelyn Marks; and a brother, Emerett Clark. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bruce Clark of Nottingham, N.H., and John Clark of Blue Bell, Pa.; two sisters, Erma Clark of Amarillo and Elva Beck of Kremmling, Colo.; and two granddaughters, Cara Guadagnoli of Westminster, Colo., and Julie Clark of Blue Bell. Mrs. Cornett was born in Amarillo. She worked as a courier for Fed Ex for more than 19 years. She had worked at AWANAS Club in El Paso. Mrs. Cornett loved to race walk and other ourdoor activities. Eric was a student at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, N.M., and was a member of the Greyhound football team. Eric graduated in 2001 from Palo Duro High School, where he was a standout athlete. He participated in football, basketball, wrestling and track. He was a member of the Dons 2001 state quarterfinalist team. Eric was a member of New Light Ministries, where he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at an early age. Survivors include his father of Los Angeles; his mother of Amarillo; three sisters, Yakelia Clemmons of Dallas, Yolanda Hodgest of Amarillo and Erica Hodgest of Canyon; and two grandmothers, Ruby Hodgest of Amarillo and Juanita Price of Lubbock. Truman Ledbetter, pastor, and the Rev. Bryan Knowles, pastor of Community Fellowship Church, and Jerry Koontz, her son, officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors. Mrs. Koontz was born Dec. 2, 1913, in Burleson, where she lived until moving to Donley County in 1919. She married Delmar Rigdon Koontz on Dec. 24, 1938, in Clarendon. She was a homemaker, a member of Martin Quilting Club, First Baptist Church and Rebekah Sunday School class. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 10, 1992; and two brothers. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 31, 2003 Oklahoma Carl Raymond Garner BOISE CITY, Okla. - Carl Raymond Garner, 83, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, in Amarillo, Texas. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Stratford Cemetery in Stratford, Texas, by Cimarron Mortuary. Mr. Garner was born June 6, 1920, in Dalhart to Dr. F.E. and Elva Pruett Garner. He was reared in Dalhart, Texas, and graduated from Texas Tech in 1942 with a degree in electrical engineering. He worked for Westinghouse in Sharon, Pa., served in the Army and in 1947 married Lois James in Stratford. They moved to Boise City in 1951, where they had the John Deere dealership for 43 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Pruett, who was killed in World War II. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Patricia Fowler and husband, Joe, of Orange Park, Fla., and Leann Judah and husband, Terry, of Yukon; four grandchildren, Shane Fowler of Tallahasse, Fla., Christopher Fowler of Orange Park, Tracey Judah Clodfelter and Lesley Judah Ogle and husband, Joshua, all of Yukon; a great-grandson, Gavin Clodfelter of Yukon; and a host of other relatives and friends. Blake Sr., bishop, officiating. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo. Arrangements are by Heartland Funeral Home. Mr. Bible had worked in construction and maintenance. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 31, 2003 Canyon Ermyle Ruth Cooper Ermyle Ruth Cooper, 85, of Canyon died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003, in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church in Canyon with Dr. Strauss Atkinson, officiating, and the Rev. David Lowrie and D.L. Harguess assisting. Private burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors. Mrs. Cooper was born Dec. 8, 1917, to Judge C.E. Hill and Iva Reid Hill in Dalhart. She attended school for a year in Texline and moved to Dalhart when she was in the second grade. She graduated from Dalhart High School in 1934. She attended West Texas where she met Clay Cooper, who was also a student at that time. She taught school in Lesley in Hall County for two years and while she was teaching she married Clay Cooper on April 18, 1937. They moved back to Canyon and returned to school. A son, Charles E. Cooper was born Sept. 7, 1939. She was a homemaker. But when World War II caused a help shortage she began helping in their grocery store. From that time on she became a regular helper and partner in the grocery store until they sold the store in 1969 to Benny Cooper, their nephew. She moved with Clay and Charles in 1970 to Eureka, Nev., where they developed farmland. They spent from May to November in Eureka each year, and then returned to Canyon. While in Eureka, she served as organist and pianist for Diamond Valley Baptist Church. She served two terms as Canyon Independent School District trustee and also served on the board of directors for Dreamland Cemetery. She was a life member of the Baptist church and a member of Kings Daughters Sunday School class. She was a member of Sue Hite Study Club, AAUW, Alpha Delta Phi sorority and several bridge clubs. She was a very energetic person and very dedicated to fulfill her duties and obligations. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin of Dallas and Billy of Canyon. Survivors include her husband; her son, Charles E. Cooper of Canyon; a sister-in-law, Patsy Hill Augstat of Dallas; a brother-in-law, Jackie Neil Cooper and wife, Barbara, of Lake Tanglewood; her nieces, Billie Helene Goettsch and husband, Robert, of Cordell, Okla., Iva Jean Cryer and husband, Dale, of Canyon, Kaye Koemer and husband, Gary, of Dallas, Cathy Wilson and husband, Jack, of Lewisville, Ruth Harguess and husband, D.L., of Canyon, Ann Wood and husband, the Rev.
