Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mr. Salinas was born April 8, 1929, in Edinburg. He married Araccli Benavids on Dec. 27, 1953, in Edinburg. Amarillo Globe-News, Nov. 7, 2003 Eulalie Fern Moore Greever PERRYTON - Eulalie Fern Moore Greever, 88, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Apostolic Faith Church with the Rev. Roland Haney officiating. Burial will be in Old Hansford Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Greever was born July 9, 1915, in Morse. She was the daughter of Eugene and Edna Moore and one of eight children. At an early age, Eulalie moved to Canyon where she attended school. She graduated from Canyon High School and was known for her basketball skills. She met the love of her life in Canyon, William Robert Greever, who was a senior at West Texas State College. They were married on July 15, 1934. She and W.R. lived on the farm east of Spearman for 68 years, where they reared four children. Eulalie was a devoted wife and mother. During the children's school years, she enjoyed being a room mother for each. She was asked to serve many times over because for her enthusiasm and love for children. Her charity and generosity exended well beyond her immediate family and friends. In her retirement years, Eulalie loved to travel and for 27 years she and W.R. spent their summers in Colorado, and winters in the Texas valley or Arizona. They also traveled to nine European countries and enjoyed several cruises. Survivors include her husband; a sister, Ruth Stotts of Cottonwood, Ariz.; her four children, Billie J. Reynolds and husband, Leslie, of San Antonio, Robert D. Greever of Perryton, Helen L. Batson and husband, David, of Lucas and Steven M. Hughes St. Mrs. Lark touched the lives of many people, as she never met a stranger. She shared her enormous talent through songs and praises to God. Her uplifting spirit will truly be missed but treasured always by those who had the opportunity to know her. At the time of her passing, she was working on a master's degree in music in Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeffery. Amarillo Globe-News, Nov. 7, 2003 Jess Benjamin Latham Jr. Jess Benjamin Latham Jr., 85, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. today in First Christian Church with Dr. James H. Cobb officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Latham was born Aug. 7, 1918, to Jess and Tina Latham in White Deer. He married his wife of 63 years, Kay Lowery Linder, on July 29, 1940. He graduated from Amarillo High School, later attending Texas A&M University and New Mexico School of Mines. He began farming and ranching in the Panhandle area in 1940. In 1947, he joined his father, Jess Sr., and brother, Bill Latham, in the crop hail insurance business when he became vice president of Panhandle Mutual Hail Association. In 1962, he founded Nationwide Crop Hail General Agency, which was a pioneer in developing new crop insurance products and coverages that are still being used industry-wide today. In 1971, he expanded the operation into several other states including New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska. Producer's Lloyds Insurance Co. was started in 1976 by Jess and his brother, Bill. It was during this period that Jess's two sons, Ben Latham and Larry Latham joined the company; shortly thereafter, they were joined by their five sisters as general agents. Over the next two decades, the insurance operation expanded into five general agencies and two insurance companies, servicing the crop insurance business in 23 states. The expansion of the company has grown to include two grandsons, Benson Latham and Brandon Latham, representing four generations of Latham involvement. The company has consolidated its operations under the name of Producers Ag Insurance Group and within the last year has moved into its new corporate headquarters at 2025 S. Hughes. In addition, Mr. Latham was involved in cattle, oil and gas development, farming, real estate and banking. He was one of the primary developers of the Belmar addition in the city of Amarillo. He served for many years on the board of American National Bank. He was a founding director of Mesa Petroleum Co. He was also founding stockholder and board member of Corporate Systems and had served on the board since its inception. He was past chairman of the National Crop Insurance Services Regional Committee. He had been a longtime member of First Christian Church, Amarillo Club and Amarillo Country Club. Jess and Kay enjoyed Heel and Toe Square Dance Club and traveling with friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters. Survivors include his wife; seven children, Linda Latham Hare, Ben Latham, Larry Latham and Pam Latham Dick, all of Amarillo, Sally Latham Lawler and Patti Latham Sadler, both of Austin, and Debbie Latham Corbin of Duncan, Okla.; 24 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Georgia St. Mr. Duty was born in Benton, Ill., on Sept. 11, 1938. He married Judith Overturf at Benton in 1957, who preceded him in death. He married Roanna "Ann" Day in Amarillo in 1981. He retired from USDA as a market news reporter for more than 40 years. During his career he earned several achievement awards. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife; a daughter, Kimberly Jo Duty; and a sister, Marilyn Duty Green. Amarillo Globe-News, Nov. 7, 2003 Juanita Merle Kuykendall Haws SMITHFIELD, Va. - Juanita Merle Kuykendall Haws, 78, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery in Amarillo, Texas, with Ronnie Tucker officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mrs. Haws went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday after a long and courageous fight with heart and lung disease. She was the daughter of the late Gus and Pearly Kuykendall. She was born on Feb. 6, 1925, in Dickens County, Texas, but was a longtime resident of Amarillo, Texas. She was a remarkable woman of integrity and character and led and eventful and full life. She drove an 18-wheel truck with the love of her life, her husband of 38 years, James. After retiring from the road, she took at job at Network Security Answering Service where, as she said, "They actually paid me to talk." She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church for many years and she loved her church family dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, John Mark Haws; and a brother, Norman Kuykendall.
