Mrs. Edmiston was born Feb. 20, 1940, in Chester, Okla. She married Bill Edmiston on April 11, 1960, in Pampa. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Leisa Edmiston of Denton; two brothers, Frank Haynes of Pampa and Al Haynes of Freemont, Calif.; two sisters, Danziel Stokes of Odessa and Joy Money of North Port, Fla.; and a granddaughter. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Horizon Funeral Home. Mr. Hale was born July 24, 1927, in Perico. He was enlisted in the Army and the Air Force for a total of 12 years. Mrs. Williams was born Aug. 26, 1915, in Clayton. She was a great mother who loved and enjoyed her family. Mrs. Mulbery was born Jan. 28, 1904, in Henry County, Mo. She married Raymond C. Mulbery on Feb. 25, 1934. Lee and Mary Nancy Massey on Feb. 23, 1907, in Aledo. She moved to Amarillo in 1923 from Lakeview. She married Charles Swim Reed in 1925 in Amarillo. She was a homemaker and member of Bolton Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 17, 1975. Survivors include two sons, Eldon Reed and Charles K. "Ken" Reed, both of Amarillo; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren; and four great-great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Green was born March 10, 1912, in Evansville, Tenn., to Henry Dath Webb and Mattie Mize. She was an employee for Sears for 38 years. Amarillo Globe-News, Nov. 17, 2003 Phetphaythone Phimmasone "Pepper" Montgomery Phetphaythone Phimmasone "Pepper" Montgomery, 32, of Amarillo died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in West Amarillo Christian Church with Ray Guy, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Martin Road Chapel, 15th Avenue and Martin Road. Mrs. Montgomery was born Sept. 28, 1971, in Laos. She married Brian Lee Montgomery on June 27, 1992. Pepper's family fled from the communists in Laos. Her mother and father with eight children escaped to Thailand where they were in a refugee camp. At the camp, a brother died and a sister was born. On arriving in America in 1979, the children were entered in school not knowing any English. They were placed in an all-English, second- grade level class. Managing to overcome the adversity that life threw at this family is what made Pepper the amazing person she became. She would set goals and work hard until she met them. While in high school, Pepper played on the soccer team and was a cheerleader. She participated in early engineering competitions, the egg drop competition and bridge building competition where she received numerous awards. She took Texprep courses at Amarillo College, which are aimed at college bound high school students. All of which fueled her desire to be in the engineering field. After her graduation from high school in 1992, she attended Amarillo College and Texas Tech University where she graduated with an electrical engineering degree in 1998. After graduation and receiving her degree, Agnew and Associates of Lubbock employed her. While there, she shared the responsibility of designing the lighting for engineering projects such as the Texas Tech football stadium. The year 2001 was a wonderful year for Pepper. In April 2001, she became a U.S. Citizen and began a promising career working at her dream job in the power industry at Utility Engineering with an amazing group of people she described as friends. Everyone who knew Pepper loved her. She could brighten your day with her beautiful smile. Some of her accomplishments include electrical designs for Caldwell Hall at Hardin Simmons, TTU Jones Stadium, Randall County Jail, Frenship Junior High ISD, TxDOT Road Side Park in Mitchell County, Peoples' Bank of Lubbock, St. Elizabeth Church of Christ, TTU Federal Credit Union, TTU Softball and Tennis Complex, TTU West Hall Visitors Center, Lubbock Attorney Generals Office, Green Lawn Church of Christ of Lubbock and Indiana Baptist Church of Lubbock. She was preceded in death by a brother, Phetphayvanh; and her father, Bounteun Phimmasone. Survivors include her husband; her mother, Khamphong Phimmasone; sisters, Phetvilayphone Thammavongsa and husband, Thonginh, her twin, Phetphaysone "Sue" Hager and husband, Stoney, and Phetphayvong "Nok" Phimmasone, all of Amarillo, and Phetoudone "Monge" Phimmasone of Rogers, Minn.; brothers, Phetsamone "Xay" Phimmasone and Phetsomphone "Tou" Phimmasone and wife, Sythai "Thai," all of Amarillo, and Phetphayvone "Nuone" Phimmasone of Albuquerque, N.M.; three nieces; six nephews; a great-niece; her father and mother-in-law, Jerry and Bette Montgomery; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Paul Montgomery. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Gentry was born to Walter Grill and Mary Elizabeth Gentry on Jan. 27, 1918, in Gainesville. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1936 and was a lifelong resident. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in Patton's Third Army in England, France and Germany. He married Martha McGuire in 1947. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Scott Edwards; three sisters; a brother; and mother and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. B.D. McGuire. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Donna Edwards of Clarendon, Carolyn Hess of Dallas and Linda Bagley of Amarillo; and four grandchildren, Andrea Hayward, Kelly Edwards, Emily Hess and John Hess. Amarillo Globe-News, Nov. 17, 2003 Robert Lee Haskins Sr. Robert Lee Haskins Sr., 49, of Amarillo died Friday, Nov. 14, 2003. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Paramount Terrace Christian Church with the Rev. Alan Burkhalter, pastor of Chaparral Hills Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mr. Haskins was born in Nashville, Tenn., and lived in Amarillo most of his life. He was a 1972 graduate of Amarillo High School. He married Lynn Norton in 1978 in Amarillo. He worked for the City of Amarillo Water Department for 32 years and was a member of the American Water Works Association. He bowled in Amarillo Bowling leagues for more than 30 years and worked with junior bowlers. He attended Chaparral Hills Baptist Church. He was a caring man who enjoyed helping others and always put his family and friends first. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marci Ann Haskins in 1987; and his dad, Hershel Haskins Sr. in 1993. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Vicke Haskins of Amarillo; four sons, Robert Haskins Jr., Kelley Haskins, Michael Haskins and James Haskins, all of Amarillo; his mother, Georgia Haskins of Amarillo; a sister, Rosa Bollinger of Amarillo; seven brothers, Hershel Haskins Jr. of Houston, George Haskins of Lubbock, Mark Haskins, Bruce Haskins, Chris Haskins and Doug Haskins, all of Amarillo, and Timmy Haskins of Dallas; and a brother-in-law, Jack Bryan of Amarillo. Burial will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mrs. Macklin was born to Woodrow and Gladys Sims on March 14, 1939. She was born in Cheyenne, Okla., where she was raised and attended school. She married Dwain Macklin on June 3, 1960, in Sayre, Okla., then moved to Amarillo in 1964. She was a bakery manager at Safeway for many years before she began baking and decorating her own creations from home. She had a wonderful reputation in Amarillo and surrounding areas for her beautiful cakes and wonderul spirit of giving. This was evident a few years ago when on her birthday she baked, decorated, delivered and set up five wedding cakes. She was also a very good quilter. She loved making quilts for her family and recently finished one for her newest great-grandson that will be born in January. She was a member of Southlawn Baptist Church for many years but had been a member of San Jacinto Baptist for the past several years. She was very proud of her family and loved them very much. Even in her last days she was talking about her "babies." She was preceded in death by her father in 2002. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Terrie Durham of Gilbert, Ariz.; four brothers, Bob Sims of Amarillo, Loyd Sims of Lindale, Jim Sims and Ron Sims, both of West Palm Beach, Fla.; three sisters, Oleta Cree of Amarillo, Darlene Carter of Hereford and Rhonda Lowell of Elk City, Okla.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Nov. 17, 2003 Elsewhere William Charles Mitchell SPRING CREEK, Nev. - William Charles Mitchell, 80, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, in Elko. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Llano Cemetery of Amarillo, Texas, with Bobby Medford, associate pastor of San Jacinto United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Mitchell was born in Trinidad, Colo. He served in the Navy during World War II with the seabees. He lived in several areas of the Texas Panhandle where he farmed and ranched. In 1974, he moved to Spring Creek. He worked as a delivery driver for ABC Freight Lines. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and camping. He married Nina Higgins in 1947. He was preceded in death by his wife in March; and a son, Phillip Charles Mitchell. Survivors include a son, James Sullivan "Sully" Mitchell of Burlington, Colo.; and two grandsons, Anthony and Ben, both of Burlington.
