Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. today in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Hyacinth's Catholic Church with the Rev. Pat Carathers, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Mundell was born Aug. 15, 1931, in Long Beach, Calif. He had lived in Amarillo since 1958. He married his wife, Deborah, on Sept. 7, 1984, in Lahana, Maui. Mr. Mundell worked as a quality assurance tech at Pantex for 44 years before retiring. He had been actively involved with the Boy Scouts and Knights of Columbus, and was a supporter of various law enforcement agencies. He was a member of Metal Trades Council and International Association of Machinists. Mr. Mundell served as a tech sergeant in tank company 90MM, with the Michigan Army National Guard in the 46th Division and with the 425th Infantry Regiment. Survivors include his wife; a son, William J. Mundell of Amarillo; two daughters, Valerie Marburger of Houston and Sherrie Dougherty of Maplewood, Minn.; his brother, Lee Roberts of Tennessee; and four grandsons, Connor Dougherty, Liam Dougherty, Michael Mundell and Curt Mundell. Bell St. Mr. Young married Patty Tidwell on April 10, 1999, in Grants, N.M. He graduated from Amarillo High School and attended West Texas State University. Mr. Young was employed at Wal-Mart, store no. 755, from 1985 to 1998, then worked at Hastings from 1998 to 2001. He was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church. Burial will be at a later date in Chardon Municipal Cemetery in Chardon, Ohio. Mrs. Whitesell was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of Amarillo for 26 years. She was a real estate investor. She loved horses - owning, renting and boarding horses. She also raised Chihuahuas for more than 20 years. Mr. Heffington will be remembered as a husband, a father, an artist, snake charmer and a friend. But most importantly, Jerry Heffington will be remembered as a man. A man who walked tall and stood straight. A man who would look you straight in the eye and speak true. A man whose passionate convictions often outweighed his better judgment. A man who took pride in giving an honest effort, and a man who found joy in his family, his friends and his work. Jerry always said that being a cowboy was simply a state of mind; if by no other criteria, Jerry Heffington will be remembered as a cowboy born after his time. She was a member of Eastern Star, 99ers Women's Pilot Club, a charter member of Stratford Country Club, and was an avid golfer and rock collector. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Stratford. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998 and a son, Greg Tillery, in 1996. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Monsignor Joe Tash, the Rev. Scott Raef and the Rev. Guillermo Morales officiating. Burial will be in Hansford Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Venneman was a homemaker. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was one of 12 children. She married John Venneman on April 23, 1941. She graduated from Spearman High School and attended college in Greeley, Colo. She graduated from West Texas State Teachers College. She taught fourth grade in Hitchland and Spearman. She and her husband lived on their farm 20 miles northwest of Spearman. She also lived in Amarillo while her children attended Catholic schools. She and Johnny loved their children and grandchildren and instilled in them a great sense of family. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987; and her parents, J.G.B. and Lizzie Douglas Sparks. Survivors include a son, Joe T. Mr. Farris was born Jan. 8, 1926, in Jayton. He was a Dumas resident since 1976 and a former longtime resident of Stratford. He married Bobbie Farris on Oct. 27, 1948, in Sherman County. He worked at Owens Ford for 18 years in parts. He served with the Navy during World War II, and was involved in the Phillipine Liberation Campaign, the Asiatic Campaign and the Pacific Campaign. He was awarded medals for the above as well as the American Campaign Medal. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Phyllis Melton of Byers, Colo.; a son, Jim L. Farris of Henderson, Nev.; three brothers, W.L. Mrs. Watson was born Jan. 26, 1909, in Donley County. She was one of 12 children born to David Washington Hinkle and Sinah Catherine Romine. She graduated from Lelia Lake High School in 1927 and was valedictorian of her class. She attended Clarendon Junior College and West Texas State College, where she earned a teaching certificate. She taught school at Back ISD, where she met her future husband, Lawrence M. Watson. They were married on July 16, 1931. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; six brothers; and five sisters. Survivors include two sons, L.M.
