Mrs. Watson was born July 25, 1912, in Paducah. She married Lowell Watson in Paducah on June 23, 1934. Mr. Jackson was a native Texan and resident of Amarillo for more than 30 years. Survivors include two cousins, Ada Dansby and Ila Bell Smith, both of Amarillo. Amarillo Globe-News, Nov. 24, 2003 David Dale McKnight Jr. David Dale McKnight Jr., 37, of Amarillo died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. McKnight, Davy to his family, was born Aug. 23, 1966, in Kingsville, the son of David D. and Sandra G. McKnight. He loved his job at the Amarillo Chapter of the United Way where he was responsible for marketing and coordinating charitable events throughout North Texas. He attended Amarillo Community College, Grayson County College and Southern Utah University and was within one semester of completing a bachelor of arts degree. His ultimate passion was the theater where he was an accomplished professional within all theatric disciplines including playwright, direction and performance with performance being where he shined brightest. He had won numerous awards from the National Art Institute, American College Theatre Festival, United States Institute for Theatre Technology, The International Thespian Society, Amarillo College, Optimist International and Amarillo Chamber of Commerce Arts Committee. Of particular interest was an award received from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts for his Playwriting of Elsysium Illusions. Shows for which David had performed and/or participated in are too numerous to mention but highlights include "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas," "Will Rogers Follies" and "Greater Tuna." His proudest moments were those of receiving the Amarillo Little Theatre Awards (ALTA) for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor for "Greater Tuna" and "Will Rogers Follies," respectively. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Dale McKnight; grandparents, Nora and Dale McKnight and Betty and Joe Green; and a great-aunt, Bille Pat Stephenson. Survivors include his partner, David Carter; his mother, Sandra Bosworth; his father, David McKnight; his stepmother, Helena McKnight; his stepfather, Yates Bosworth; brothers, Joey, Dean and Kevin McKnight and Barry Coe; stepbrother and sisters, Michael Bosworth, Shannon Herrmann, Sandy Davidson and Randall and Carrie Ellis; nephews, Daniel, Mitchell, Zachary, Tucker and Braden Joel McKnight; nieces, Kassidy and Marissa Faye McKnight; and numerous other friends and relatives. "Lefty" Daniels, 69, of Amarillo died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Rector Funeral Home Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St., with Jim Shelburne, of Washington Avenue Christian Church, officiating. Mr. Daniels was born May 20, 1934, in Coleman County to Katie and Emmett Daniels. He married Freida Duckworth on Dec. 24, 1954. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Nereus and learned his trade of welding. He lived in Amarillo where he worked for various welding companies for more than 40 years. In 1990, he went to work for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice at the William P. Clements Unit. He worked as a correctional officer in the PAMIO Program until his retirement. His grandchildren were the joy of his life. Survivors include his wife, Freida; two sons, Donnie Daniels and wife, Karen, and Kip Daniels and wife, Treva; three daughters, Linda Hanks and husband, Darrell, Lori Kellison and husband, Rodney, all of Amarillo, and Sharon Morgan and husband, Danny, of Rock Springs, Wyo.; three sisters, Ruby Morris of Capitan, N.M., Katie Smith of Roswell, N.M., and Fannie Stanton of New Castle; a brother, William Daniels of Amarillo; eight grandchildren, Jason Hudson, Katy Pitcher, Kyle Daniels, Joshua and Ashleigh Daniels, Kasondra Morgan and Tyler and Jared Kellison. Bell St. Mrs. Mitchell was born in Aurora, Neb., on July 15, 1912. She married James Harold Mitchell on June 14, 1937, in Lincoln, Neb., and he preceded her in death in 1998. She graduated from the University of Nebraska. She was a teacher at Tascosa High School until she retired in 1974. She was a member of San Jacinto United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Jim Mitchell of Amarillo; a daughter, Jane Stewart of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He attended the University of Tennessee where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity and served as rush chairman during his third year. He returned to Amarillo in the fall of 2003 to attend West Texas A&M University. He took pre-law courses. He was loved by many good friends and brought joy to everyone he touched. She married Edgar M. Musick in 1936 in Sweetwater. She moved to Amarillo in 1942. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son; and two sisters. Survivors include a brother, Weldon and his wife, Fran; and four nieces and their families.
