Cardenas III Jesse V. Cardenas III, 44, of Amarillo died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Leo Ramos, deacon, officiating. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Gabriel Cordiel officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery at a later date. Mr. Cardenas was a glass beveler and cabinet maker for Heirloom Cabinets for 16 years. He was a member of St. Laurence Cathedral Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his father in 1983. Survivors include his wife, Roxanna "Rocky"; two daughters, Jeannine West of Silverton and Jennifer Cardenas of Amarillo; his mother, Sabina Cardenas of Amarillo; a sister, Anna Waldrop of Lubbock; two brothers, David Cardenas and Edward Mojica, both of Amarillo; and three grandsons. The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Amarillo Globe-News, Dec. 5, 2003 Canyon Noble Lewis Brown Noble Lewis Brown, 89, of Canyon died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, in Amarillo. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Follett Chapel in Follett with the Rev. Damon Deaton, pastor of Faith Community Church of Canyon, and the Rev. Doc Methvin, pastor of Congregational Church of Follett, officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery in Follett by Brooks Funeral Directors. Mr. Brown was born Oct. 26, 1914, to W.R. and Cora Brown at the family home in Beaver County, Okla., near the community of Ivanhoe. He graduated from Follett High School in 1932, where he was active in all athletics. He had two brothers and three sisters. Upon graduation he attended Coyne Electronic School in Chicago. On Sept. 3, 1938, he married Madelene Avah Woods of Beaver, Okla., in Buffalo, Okla. They recently celebrated 65 years of marriage. They resided in Follett for 61 years and then moved to Canyon in 2000. After their marriage, Mr. Brown worked at Follett National bank and then various partnerships in Follett until he was drafted in 1945 by the Navy. He returned from World War II and went to work for the REA wiring many of the homes in the Panhandle area. He then operated Western Farm Implement and Equipment Co. before he opened Brown Radio and TV, where he sold and serviced appliances until his retirement in 1976. Upon retirement, Mr. Brown enjoyed camping with his family in their travel trailer and spending time at their cabin in Colorado. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Elaine Brown, in 1981. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jean Ann Hamilton of Lubbock; a son, Nolan Brown and wife, Janie, of Canyon; a sister, Wilma Nosler of Wichita, Kan.; four grandchildren, Brian Hamilton and wife, Terri, of Wichita, J'Non McNiel and husband, Jerry, of Brownfield, Brent Brown of Austin and Stephen Brown of Dhaka, Bangladesh; two great-grandchildren, Rachel Daugherty and Grant McNiel; two stepgrandchildren, Elaine McNiel and Rena McNiel; and several nieces and nephews. She married Ray McNabb on Aug. 2, 1948, in Oklahoma. Gordon Lawson officiating. Burial with Masonic rites and military rites will be in Laverne Memorial Cemetery by Myatt- Seeger Funeral Home. Mr. Price was born Oct. 20, 1926, west of Buffalo. He served in the Merchant Marine. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel in Pampa with the Rev. Sheldon Johnson, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Brady, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa. Mr. Colville worked for WesTex Construction in Borger for more than 20 years, retiring as president. He worked part-time for the city of Pampa as a construction inspector from 1989 to 1998. Survivors include his wife, Delma; a son, James Michael Colville of Dallas; three daughters, Juanita McBee of Ennis, Lynda McCoy of Phoenix, Texas, and Martha Colville of Mountain View, Mo.; two brothers, Bob Colville of Rochelle, Ill., and John Colville of Amarillo; five grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren.
