Black, 83, of Amarillo died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 S. Bell St., with Ronnie Mullins, associate pastor of Christian Heritage Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery with military rites by DAV Chapter 26. Mr. Black was born Dec. 18, 1919, in Sulphur Springs. He married Georgia Hazel Clark on Aug. 27, 1946. He graduated from high school and served in the Army from 1940 to 1945. He was a sargeant during World War II and received the Distinguished Service Cross. He was a painter, contractor and owner of Black's Paint Shop. He was active in VFW, a volunteer at Veterans Hospital and attended Fairview Baptist/Southeast Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Linda Addison of Kansas City Mo., Sherri Rekieta and husband, Johnny, of Arlington and Susan Bailey and husband, Jeff, of Amarillo; two sons, Tim Black and wife, Linda, of Goodnight and Dana Black of Amarillo; two sisters, Leila Marley of Hillsboro and Era Little of San Angelo; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Amarillo Globe-News, Dec. 6, 2003 Area Loye Wayne Randall SPEARMAN - Loye Wayne Randall, 62, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Union Church with the Rev. Bill Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Hansford Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Randall was a member of Union Church of Spearman. He was a grocery store manager. Survivors include two daughters, Jean Morris of Fort Cobb, Okla., and Sara Shufeldt of Spearman; two sons, Rob Randall of Springfield, Mo., and David Lewis of Brownwood; a sister, Naomi Fryrear of Spearman; a brother, Dale Randall of Spearman; and a special friend, Doris Jean Pipkin of Spearman. Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday in Liberal Cemetery in Liberal, Kan., by Wright Funeral Directors. Mr. Davis was born March 25, 1933, in Lamar, Colo. He married Sherry Cammarn on Aug. 31, 1978, in Lamar. Mr. Polk was born July 4, 1919, in Dixon. He married Virginia Dorsey in 1939 in Wheeler. Mr. Smith served in the Navy aboard the USS Midway during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a truck driver for Wego Services of Guymon. Survivors include his parents, George A. and Joy Smith of Guymon; and two brothers, Danny A. Smith of Enid and Pat Smith of Guymon. Services were at noon Wednesday in McLeod Mortuary with Steve Asmuth officiating. Burial was at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday in National Cemetery in Riverside. Mrs. Pekala was born Aug. 25, 1919, in Tennie, N.M. She was a member of Assembly of God Church. Survivors include a son, Lee Murphy of Las Vegas; three brothers, Fay Wallace and Roy Wallace, both of Amarillo, and Gale Wallace of Silver Springs, Md.; a sister, Ruth Snelling of Amarillo; five grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren.
