Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Shamrock Church of Christ with Cottie Tarbet officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Mr. Sanders was born March 30, 1925, in Shamrock to John Franklin and Dillie Ann Griffith Sanders. He married Bonnie Ruth Johnson Oct. 21, 1950, in Shamrock. Mr. Sanders graduated from Texas University and served with the Navy during World War II. Mr. Sanders was a lifelong resident of Shamrock. He was born in Dr. J.W. Gooch's office located on the second floor of the First National Bank building, where he later served as president for 27 years. Mr. Sanders loved raising horses. He was an avid golfer, hunter and enjoyed motorcycles. He was a member of American Legion and the Sheriff's Posse. He was preceded in death by his wife on April 13, 1997; and two brothers, Harold and Johnny Sanders. Survivors include a son, Chad Sanders of Amarillo; two daughters, Carol Fields and husband, Ken, of Pampa and Cathy Ramsey and husband, Lynn, of Shamrock; a brother, Joel Sanders of Dallas; six grandchildren, Kate Devoll, Sarah Bauman, Mary Grace Fields, Lester Ramsey, Rachel Hale and Rebecca Ramsey; and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Brown retired after a 19-year career in nursing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert E. Brown on Jan. 15, 1999. Mrs. DeArmond was born June 1, 1904, in Harmon County, Okla., to George K. Peters and Alberta "Bertie" Owens. She graduated from Vinson High School, attended Southwest Oklahoma State and received her bachelor's and master's in education from Texas Tech University. She was a retired teacher, having taught 40 years at Harmon County, Shinery, Erick, Mobeetie, New Deal, Friendship and Reese Air Force Base. She was a charter member of the Lubbock Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star, a member of UDC, Retired Teachers, First United Methodist Church and Lydia Circle of the UMW. She married Clinton DeArmond on Oct. 5, 1935, in Lubbock. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1979; three brothers, Paul, Vernon and Henry Peters; and two sisters, Eula Peters and Mabel Yarbrough. Survivors include two nieces, Exa Cudd and Shirley Henard, both of Wellington; and her local great-nephews and great-neice, Dennis Cudd, Rex Henard and Beki Mitchell. Mr. Heppel was born in Skedee, Okla., on Jan. 6, 1940. He married Trudy Reamy on Oct. 24, 1959, in Blackburn, Okla. He had been a Dumas resident for 27 years. He worked as a maintenance supervisor for Diamond Shamrock before retiring. He attended Temple Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Heppel. He married Wilma Brown on Dec. 20, 1950, in Harrisburg, Ark. He was a mechanic for the city of Stratford from 1985 to 1997. Osage St. Mrs. Perales-Loya was born in Hereford. She lived most of her life in Amarillo. She was a homemaker and a joy to her family and friends. Burial will be in Columbus Cemetery in Columbus, Kan. Mrs. Davidson was born Dec. 27, 1920, in Parsons, Kan., as the second child of John Perry and Myrtle Hollar Heatherly. She graduated from Parsons High School in 1938 and from Parsons Junior College in 1940, where she received her teaching credential. She also later attended Kansas State Teachers College (now Pittsburg State University) in Pittsburg, Kan. She married David Davidson on June 1, 1941, in Parsons. They were married more than 60 years. Ruth taught school in Columbus and then worked on their farm after marriage. In 1959, they moved to New Mexico, where Ruth taught kindergarten, was a substitute teacher and then became a bookkeeper for their family business. They retired in 1999 and moved to Amarillo. Ruth was a member and past president of Chapter X PEO in Albuquerque, N.M., a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque and a member of Order of the Eastern Star in Parsons. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2002; and two brothers, Wayne Heatherly in 1920 and Raymond Heatherly in 1991. Survivors include a daughter, Heather Soper and husband, Mike, of Amarillo; two grandchildren, Kristin Soper of Lawrence, Kan., and David Soper and wife, Amy, of Murphy; a great-grandson, Owen Soper of Murphy; a niece; and three nephews.
