Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Washington Avenue Christian Church with the Rev. Jim Shelburne officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Persefield was born in Amarillo on Oct. 19, 1936. He married Jackie Meador on Sept. 24, 1954, in Plainview. He served in the Marine Corps from 1953 until 1961 and was honorably discharged at the rank of corporal. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1955 and returned to Amarillo. He worked for Maynard Sash and Door, which later merged to become Maywood Inc., for almost 40 years. He ran a crew for Amarillo Window Cleaning Co. for 25 years. After Maywood closed, he was blessed to work at Backyard Adventures for six years. He was a member of Washington Avenue Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his biological mother, Anna Juanita Cooper Persefield, who passed away when he was 10 years old; his father, Jim Persefield; his adoptive mother, Nancy; and a brother, Sam. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Nancy Carol Daniels and husband, Phil; a son, Lee and his special friend, Robert Hansen; two grandsons, Nicholas Daniels and David Hansen; a granddaughter, Emily and husband, Lt. Eric Zarybnisky; special grandchildren, Holly Ridley, Presley Ridley, Allie Ridley and Brenna Davis; three brothers, Jim Persefield and wife, Kay, of Amarillo, John Persefield and wife, Barbara, of Cypress and William Persefield and wife, Ellen, of Garland; a sister, Jane Stephens and husband, Jud, of Apple Valley, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. Georgia St. Mr. Ketchum served in the Marines during World War II and with the Air Force during the Korean conflict. He retired from the Oxnard California School District. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mr. Sailors was born in Pecan Gap and was raised in Sanford. He graduated from Phillips High School in 1962 and served in the Navy for 13 years from 1962 to 1974. He was stationed in Amarillo, Vietnam and Nashville. He married Ruby Futch in 1994 and had been a resident of Amarillo for many years. He worked for John Chandler Ford and was in the restaurant business for five years at Mother Futch's on East Interstate 40. He served his last four years in the Navy as a recruiter in the Amarillo area. He was a member of Paramount Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Josie Sailors of Sanford; and a brother, Dewey Sailors of Pocatello, Idaho. She married Conny Palmer on Sept. 27, 1984, in Wellington. Linda had lived in Shamrock most of her life and had worked for C&H Supply for several years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and served as treasurer. She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, John Thomas Grimes; and a niece, Angel Copeland. Burial will be in Goodwell Cemetery in Goodwell, Okla., by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon, Okla. Mrs. Lowder was the daughter of May (Traylor) and T.J. O'Neal. She was born June 6, 1916, in Bertrand, Cimarron County, Okla. She graduated from Felt High School in 1933 and from Panhandle Agricultural and Mechanical College in Goodwell in 1939. While in college, she was active in athletics and the college choir and drama departments. She was united in marriage to Orville Lowder on Feb. 24, 1939, in Boise City, Okla. A longtime educator, Mrs. Lowder taught elementary school for more than 44 years, teaching in Colorado and the panhandles of Oklahoma and Texas. She taught for several years in Dumas following World War II. With an obvious schoolteacher shortage, Mrs. Lowder taught second grade with 44 morning students and 44 afternoon students. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and Texas State Teachers Association. She was also a member of the 20th Century Study Club and First United Methodist Church of Spearman. She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 18, 1943; five sisters, Louie Fentress O'Neal, Erma Ikard, Jeffie May Hoy, Arilla Ingham and Imeta Dent; and three brothers, Francis O'Neal, Curtis O'Neal and Kendall O'Neal. Survivors include two daughters, Marilynn Hart and husband, Jon, of Gruver and Sally Thomas and husband, Toby, of Spearman; a son, Byron Kendall Lowder of Hawley; six grandchildren, Quentin Hart and wife, Loree, of Cheyenne, Wyo., Suzanne Frazier and husband, Brian, of Cimarron, N.M., Joni Hart of Dallas, Jason Sutterfield of College Station, and Jeremy Sutterfield and wife, Candice and Gretchen Yanez and husband, Jesus, all of San Antonio; and six great- grandchildren. Her husband was a Baptist minister and she served alongside him in his ministry in several Baptist churches in Texas and Kansas. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Canyon. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992; a brother, J.T. Cunningham; and a great-grandchild, Jessica Thomas. Amarillo Globe-News, Dec. 12, 2003 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Carol Bundy CHOWCHILLA, Calif. - Carol Bundy, the accomplice and girlfriend of the "Sunset Strip Slayer," a serial killer who preyed on runaways and prostitutes in Hollywood, died Tuesday. She was 61. Bundy died at the Central California Women's Facility where she was serving a sentence of 52 years to life for two Los Angeles murders. Bundy's former boyfriend, Douglas Daniel Clark, is on death row in San Quentin State Prison for killing six young women in 1980. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Marcia Coggs MILWAUKEE - Marcia Coggs, Wisconsin's first black female state representative and a matriarch of the successful political Coggs family, died Tuesday. She was 75. A Democrat who was elected in 1977 to the 18th Assembly District in Milwaukee, Coggs served in the state legislature until 1991.
