Mrs. Dodson was a member of First Christian Church, where she taught classes for more than 50 years. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Taylor was a seventh generation Texan who moved to Amarillo in December 1977. He attended Amarillo schools and graduated from Amarillo High School in May 1996. He was a varsity letterman on the Amarillo High School district winning cross country team. He attended Amarillo College, graduating in May 1998 with a degree in radio and television production. He was awarded Amarillo College's highest honor, the 1998 Distinguished Student and Graduate Program. Kevin received this honor in a special convocation ceremony prior to his graduation. Kevin married Kiley Marie Crosswhite on July 21, 1999, in St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Amarillo. She was his high school sweetheart and the love of his life. Kevin worked for several Amarillo television stations while attending college and afterward. In January 2000, Kevin accepted a professional position with the National Digital Television Center, located in Littleton, Colo., where he worked as a licensed televison engineer until returning home to Amarillo in August 2003. Harold worked for 27 years in the drywall business. At the time of his illness, he was working as a certified part-time locksmith. Jones, 79, of Amarillo died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003. Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Parks Funeral Home in Okemah, Okla. Burial will be in Okemah Memorial Cemetery. Local arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Jones was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He was born Dec. 7, 1924, in Okemah. Ray enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1940 as a radio operator on B-17 bombers in World War II. He was awarded the E.T.O. Operations Citiation, Air Medal with three Oak Clusters and the Distinguished Flying Cross. From 1944 to 1945 he was a control tower operator for the Air Force. In 1946 he enrolled in Oklahoma A&M (now Oklahoma State University) where, after five semesters, he completed his pre-law. In 1949, he married Evelyn Hawkins Kezer and they were married 54 years. In the late 1950s, he was mayor of Okemah, where he also served as the first chairman of the Okemah Utility Authority, which was instrumental in building Okemah Lake, a new pipeline and a new water treatment plant. While mayor, Ray also helped make Main Street a state highway, resulting in state maintenance for the street. In 1969, he opened a Chevrolet dealership in Amarillo. In 1984, he was inducted into Okemah Hall of Fame. Ray B. retired in 1991. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Wesley "Dub" Jones in 2002; and a brother, Williams L. Jones in 2003. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Melinda Wright and husband, Larry, of Dallas and Becky Tucker and husband, Tommy, of Amarillo; a son, R.B. Jr. of Amarillo; two sisters-in-law, Charlyne Oliver of Amarillo and Betty Mae Jones of Irving; six grandchildren; his nieces and nephews; and many friends. Mrs. "Bea" Link was born Nov. 7, 1915, in Major County, Okla., to Emerson and Edna Wilcox. She married Leslie Vernon Link, "The Candy Man," in Fairview, Okla., on May 1, 1935. They lived in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Colorado before settling in Amarillo in 1947. They moved to Clear Creek, Okla., in 1987, and in 1999, they returned to Amarillo. Bea showed her love for the Lord in all she did for her family and friends. Her pillows are a symbol of her love. She enjoyed playing cards and dominoes with her family. She liked listening to gospel music, especially her family's music. Even though she became unable to attend church, she continued her prayer ministry and wrote letters and cards of encouragement. The family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers and thoughts. Thanks to the hospice staff members and caregivers for all their support. She was preceded in death by a son, Ernie Link in 2002, and a great-great- grandson, Tanner Ashrafi, in 2002. He graduated from Broxton High School. He attended OSU and ENMU on a basketball scholarship. He excelled in sports throughout high school and college. He played semipro baseball. He was married to Joy Glover on Sept. 1, 1956, in Portales, N.M. He served in the Texas National Guard. He was a retired general sales manager for Gene Messer Cadillac in Amarillo prior to moving to Denton. During his career he was recognized for top achievement in his field. He was strong, determined and loving with his family and in his career. His sense of humor and quick wit always brought a smile to those around him. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. His favorite pastimes were golf and his grandsons. Mr. Gerald Glen Thomas was born Nov. 1, 1948, to Gray and Pat Thomas of Artesia, N.M. He graduated from Artesia High School and Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, N.M. He was an accountant in Amarillo for many years and was currently employed by Maxus Energy Corp. of Houston. While in Amarillo, Gerry was very active with the youth soccer program. Mrs. Peggy Lagene Harrison Thomas was born Dec. 21, 1948, to A.J. and Ernestine Harrison of Roswell. She graduated from Roswell High School and ENMU in Portales. In addition to being a full-time mother, Peggy also taught school in Amarillo. Gerry and Peggy were currently living in Conroe, but were visiting their son in Amarillo before they were tragically killed in a car accident. Gerry and Peggy were married in Roswell, N.M., in 1969. Survivors include their three children, Deborah Evans and husband, James, of Houston, Michael Thomas and friend, Kristen, of Amarillo and Amber Thomas and friend, Greg, of Houston; three grandchildren, Anthony, Makenzie and Colton; Gerry's two brothers, Robert Thomas and James Thomas and wife, Janice, all of Artesia; and Peggy's two sisters, Carol Montgomery of Tempe, Airz., and Pat Dodson and husband, Bob, of Roswell. Moser DODGE CITY, Kan. - Ray G. Moser, 86, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon, Texas, with Dr. Jim Bankhead, pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Amarillo, Texas, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Amarillo, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Moser was born Sept. 8, 1917, in Fort Stockton, the son of Willard William and Eula Georgia Girvin Moser. He married Kathryn Jayne Bray in June 1951 in Amarillo. She preceded him in death on Sept. 31, 1978. On Oct. 10, 1980, he married Amy Sue Johnson in Guymon, Okla. He moved to Dodge City in 1998 from Guymon. He was a cattleman with Texas County Feed Yard starting in 1966 and retiring in 1991. He was a captain in the Army Air Corps during World War II, serving from 1942 to 1945. He was with the 15th Air Force, 451st Bomb Group, 376th Bomb Squadron and the pilot of a B-24 named "Big Mogul," flying 50 combat missions out of North Africa and Italy in a record time of 73 days. Three of the missions were flown over the oil fields of Ploesti, Romania. He was Christian gentleman, loving husband and father, brave solider, proud patriot and good friend. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Malcom and Wallace "Sy" Moser; and three sisters, Margaret Bragg, Eloise Edgar and Irene "Coty" Aldendifer. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Phil Moser and wife, Nell, of Fairfax, Va., and Greg Moser and wife, Jeannette, of Westminster, Colo.; a daughter, Laura Moser of Davenport, Iowa; a stepdaughter, Carla Tooley and husband, Rusty, of Dodge City; a brother, Willard Moser of Summerfield; nine grandchildren, Evan Moser, Ashley Moser, Vanessa Falleni, Preston Brown, Sara Jayne Schnipkoweit, Matthew Moser, William Moser, Toby Tooley and Amy Wallace; and four great-grandchildren, Justyn Schnipkoweit, Ivy Ray Schnipkoweit, Ty Wallace and Tia Wallace.
